Adamu Muazu election was nullified by SC in 1999 bcz his deputy had issues. SC was approached to review the judgement & it granted it allowing Muazu to contest the rerun with a fresh candidate. He went in to rule Bauchi for 8yrs. So Lyon would run again. https://mobile.twitter.com/yesmylo/status/1228043467701587968
That electoral law of 1999 have since been amended not just once. |

Politics › Re: Hope Uzodimma Said Muslims Will Form Part Of His Government by AdaoraNK(f): 3:11pm On Feb 14, 2020 |
iykbethany: Hope Uzodimma said Muslims will form part of his government and many people are already jittery. For me I have no problem with any tribe or religion.
#imopolitics #hopeuzodimma #tribalisminnigeria
I have lots of friends who are Muslims, Buddhists and even Hindu and we get along well. My bible didn't tell me to hate on anyone because of their religion or race. I am a Christian and I love God but if you choose to worship monkey or snake that's your own problem. Just like I am straight, but that doesn't mean I should hate someone because he or she is gay or lesbian. I HATE NO ONE, not even perceived enemies.
Most muslims are good and wonderful people, but in every race or religion there are ass holes like Boko Haram.
Let's use Rochas as an example. Rochas did not construct any single road that lasted up to 2 years in Imo State. Yet his works commissioner and all the engineers and contractors were all CHRISTIANS. So as you can see, Muslim is NOT our problem.
If I were a governor or president I will recruit the best brains and technocrats only. All my appointments will be based on merit and qualifications. But sadly there are not many people like this in Nigeria. What we have are mostly visionless and empty headed religious bigots.
Tribalism is one of the major reasons why Nigeria is shithole and may remain so forever; I wrote an interesting article about this here: https://iykbethanygistville.com/2017/10/20/why-is-nigeria-poor-despite-its-huge-human-and-natural-resources/ This is one of the reasons APC is rejected within the south east and South south. They have nothing with Muslims. |
Politics › Re: But Why Is It That Nigeria Do Not Want The Igbos To Leave Them by AdaoraNK(f): 3:07pm On Feb 14, 2020 |
stechu: The Igbos want to leave. Why can't the nation allow them to leave peacefully?
I know of a southern Sudan that left Sudan and suddenly plunge into recession. The Igbos are not afraid of that. They just want to leave. But yet, the entire country is always on their matter like as if they are the most special tribe in the country. @OP Its not just the Igbo, its the entire states comprising the south East and South South excluding Edo state. |

New grammar: CHAMELEONICALLY!!!?!!
Look at the height of Jurists that decided on this case.
Kayode Ariwoola..4th in line (next CJN-designate by hierarchy). He was in the panel that affirmed PMB's election against Atiku and was also one of the judges who concurred in the Ihedioha v Uzodinma judgement.
Inyang Okoro.....sound Jurist
Adamu Augie was in the panel that affirmed Hope's victory
Ejembi Eko read the lead judgement and was amongst those who affirmed PMB's victory.
But is Mary Odili that is causing drama....mtchew
Congrats Diri..... No matter what happens, More Grace, Lyon. Good observations. |
Politics › Re: We Will Comply With Supreme Court Judgement On Bayelsa — INEC by AdaoraNK(f): 9:11am On Feb 14, 2020 |
NGpatriot: Of course, the judgment made zero sense, obviously, the idea was to sack the incoming governor by any means necessary so they came up with the most absurd and ridiculous infraction that's not even a technicality.
What they should have done, have the Deputy governor-elect submit an affidavit to clarify his real and preferred name since the issue was not a case of about impersonation, but a candidate using different names.
Unfortunately for the SC, they boxed themselves in with their judgment because the person they are trying to rig into office doesn't have the constitutionally required spread to be sworn in, unless the SC is asserting that the constitution and electoral laws or even the laws of Nigeria are all totally irrelevant and beneath the SC.
The SC with this judgment looks like dumb crooks because they did not think through or closely scrutinize their judgment or consider what happens next per the constitution and electoral laws. Please explain to us here what technicalities are in judgement. Thanks. |
Politics › Re: We Will Comply With Supreme Court Judgement On Bayelsa — INEC by AdaoraNK(f): 9:07am On Feb 14, 2020 |
NORSYK: Let's stop bringing Imo State and PDP into this matter. Has Lyon and His Deputy presented us with the facts of what they submitted to INEC? Have they claimed that the Judgment is perverse?
If they feel the Judgment is perverse, let them present the facts let's analyze it dispassionately. You reasoned intelligently. Lets wait for APC's facts on the allegations. PDP have facts which everybody understands, hence their protests. |

How come we have not heard from the economic team of the president and its Malami doing the job and telling us on how FG finances on orojects will be applied.
What happened to the billions borrowed, spent, still spending and its appropriation in 2020 budjet?
I suggest the money to to federal universities or shared equally among all states excluding Abuja. |

So The Sun newsprint are doing all things possible to paint Gen. Muhammadu Buhari's (rtd) failed efforts to protect the lives of Nigerians just because they want to see the release of their convicted boss.
Whatever argument they are putting up, the mainstream issue is that Gen. Buhari has failed to secure the lives of Nigerians from northern bandits, Fulani herdsmen and boko haram. |
