drsteroid: good day, once a patient had successfully undergone cataract surgery,he/she needs to be placed on antibiotics drugs, anti inflammatory drugs and other drugs to aid the healing of the surgical wounds.the patient ought to continue using the drugs and go 4 regular eye check to no if the wound is fully healed.so there is really no problem using eyedrops and oral drugs after cataract surgery.the only thing is that the patient is supose to always go 2 d clinic for post-operative cataract management. The drugs u listed are drugs used to manage patients with dry eyes and allergies.so there is really nothing bad using such drugs after cataract surgery, considering the fact that she is also in her post menopausal age which affects rate of tear production causing dry eyes. I wil advise she should try continue with her post cataract management and see her eye doctor regularly...tanx Thx a lot. Very correct. Hello Doc, I must say u,re doing a fantastic job. Keep it up?
My Aunt had a cataract surgery 2months back n it was great, I mean successful. But since then she,s been placed on numerous eye drops, and she,s getting tired of them. Some of which are 1. Novartis Hypo Tears Gel, Polyacrilic Acid Vitamin A Palmitate. (she hasn't started this tho) 2. Systane Ultra. Lubricant eye drops, Alcan Sterile, and many others after d cataract surgery.
My questions are; Should she diiscontinue all eye drops? Which are/ is the most important to be used?
She has no complain & in her sixties. |

Politics › Re: Jonathan To Make Nation Wide Broadcast Tonight by adaphik(f): 10:54am On Jan 16, 2012 |
ORIGINAL SPEEC1. This is the second time in two weeks I will address you on the deregulation of the downstream petroleum sector. In the last seven days, the nation has witnessed a disruption of economic activities. Although, the economic imperatives for the policy have been well articulated by government, the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) went ahead to declare a nationwide strike. 2. There was also near-breakdown of law and order in certain parts of the country as a result of the activities of some persons or groups of persons who took advantage of the situation to further their narrow interests by engaging in acts of intimidation, harassment and outright subversion of the Nigerian state. I express my sympathy to those who were adversely affected by the protests. 3. At the inception of the deregulation policy, Government had set up the Justice Alfa Belgore Committee to liaise with Labour and other stakeholders to address likely grey areas in the policy, but despite all our efforts, Labour refused the option of dialogue and also disobeyed a restraining order of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria. 4. However, following the intervention of the Leadership of the National Assembly, and other well-meaning Nigerians, Labour accepted to meet with government, but this yielded no tangible result. 5. It has become clear to government and all well-meaning Nigerians that other interests beyond the implementation of the deregulation policy have hijacked the protest. This has prevented an objective assessment and consideration of all the contending issues for which dialogue was initiated by government. These same interests seek to promote discord, anarchy, and insecurity to the detriment of public peace. 6. Government appreciates that the implementation of the deregulation policy would cause initial hardships and commends Nigerians who have put forth suggestions and credible alternatives in this regard. Government also salutes Nigerians who by and large, conducted themselves peacefully while expressing their grievances. Let me assure you that government will continue to respect the people’s right to express themselves within the confines of the law and in accordance with the dictates of our democratic space. 7. Government will continue to pursue full deregulation of the downstream petroleum sector. However, given the hardships being suffered by Nigerians, and after due consideration and consultations with state governors and the leadership of the National Assembly, government has approved the reduction of the pump price of petrol to N97 per litre. The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) has been directed to ensure compliance with this new pump price. 8. Government is working hard to reduce recurrent expenditure in line with current realities and to cut down on the cost of governance. In the meantime, government has commenced the implementation of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment projects: including the Federal Government- assisted mass transit programme which is already in place, and job creation for the youth. 9. Furthermore, the legal and regulatory regime for the petroleum industry will be reviewed to address accountability issues and current lapses in the Industry. In this regard, the Petroleum Industry Bill will be given accelerated attention. The report of the forensic audit carried out on the NNPC is being studied with a view to implementing the recommendations and sanctioning proven acts of corruption in the industry. 10. Let me assure Nigerians that this administration is irrevocably committed to tackling corruption in the petroleum industry as well as other sectors of the economy. Consequently, all those found to have contributed one way or the other to the economic adversity of the country will be dealt with in accordance with the law. 11. My dear compatriots, I urge you to show understanding for the imperatives of the adjustment in the pump price of petrol and give government your full support to ensure its successful implementation. I further appeal to Nigerians to go back to work and go about their normal duties as government has made adequate arrangements for the protection of life and property throughout the federation. 12. Government will not condone brazen acts of criminality and subversion. As President, I have sworn to uphold the unity, peace and order of the Nigerian State and by the grace of God, I intend to fully and effectively discharge that responsibility. Let me add that we are desirous of further engagements with Labour. I urge our Labour leaders to call off their strike, and go back to work. 13. Nigeria belongs to all of us and we must collectively safeguard its unity. 14. Thank you. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN, GCFR President, Federal Republic of Nigeria |

mikeapollo: PDP may not be a party with a history pf good performancce. But the truth is, people are angry and mad at the deceits and some harsh experiences under ACN govt, especiallly in Lagos. Fashola has turned out to be a corrupt, untrustworthy and deceitful governor who likes to use anything and everything to extort money from the people, without any compassion/plans for the poor masses. No wonder he used all means to block the investigation of his government
In the SW, once people are mad at your govt, you can be swept off in a protest vote. The party that may benefit may not necessarily be a popular party!
Except they reverse the unpopular policies of this government, 2015 will be very difficult for ACN. The last LG elections showed clearly that people cannot be deceived, exploited and fleeced just because a governor is planting flowers and resurfacing roads in VI and S/Lere while the poor market women/artisans are suffering.
I am 100% ACN but totally disappointed in Fashola's style of governance, Medical doctors to go on strike for almost 3 months in an ACN state(Lagos)? Unheard of! very sad indeed, @ Topic, easier said than achieved. We're watching. Particularly now the pdp led administration has turned out an outright failure. |

Theblessed: Evil, knowing you are HiV positive, and you con this innocent young lady into marriage when you are an atomic bomb waiting to go off - you will rot in 'HELL'.
Also, you want the Church that will be conducting the wedding not to know of your hellish Health status and devilish plans - satan, you can not win, for your soul is already rottening in hell!
And knowing you're HiV positive, I'm sure, you'd been sleeping with this innocent girl, haven't you?
So, out of your own selfishness and wickedness, you'd already condemned an innocent soul to hell and I ask, where will your wicked soul go to, after this life - agent of satan!
May I say this, if you hadn't already transmitted this deadly disease to her please, leave her alone to get on with her life and go meet your kind in hell where you belong.
You are an agent of satan and that's why you want to take as many people as possible with you on your way to the Hades but you're a liar - for your powers, principalities and entities have been broken in Jesus Name, Amen! (Luk Chpt. 10 v 19)
I am only sorry for this poor and naive young lady without any knowledge of your Health status but the Lord knows your wicked and evil act and he has a word for you:
The wicked shall be cut off in Jesus Name, Amen! (Psalm 37).
You see, this is what we are talking about - in fact, I don't blame you, I blame the culture!
The culture that pressurises women into unfruitful and unfulfilling marriages in order to avoid societal stigmatisation and name calling due to their 'singleton status' thereby, encouraging their men in taking advantage of their desperation to get married.
What an evil culture!! A culture that put their own daughters into harms way, and without remorse! - I ask, will this culture ever change
It can only change when women stand up for themselves and take control of their lives!!!
which kyn human being be this , for christ sake!! |
Christianity Etc › Re: Where Is My God-given Husband? by adaphik(f): 4:56pm On Dec 29, 2011 |
Bisijohn: @Poster, You have asked the right question, but unfortunately, in the wrong place. You will be more confused than before if you care to read all the comments so far.
I'm a Christian right from my teenage age, and now in my early 30, I married in my 20’s. I should be able to advise you a bit. I didn’t want to make mistake in the area of marriage. And I thank God, that I didn't make mistake. At least over 5 yrs experience in marriage. To God be the glory!
Since you are a Christian, I will advise you in the way of the LORD. Every son or daughter of God has the Spirit of God that leads and speaks in him/her. Unbelievers will not understand this, if at all they claim to be Christians. Hence, God communicates to us through the spirit in us. He does this in diverse ways, such as: His word, inner witnessing of the spirit, Prophecy, dreams, vision, circumstances, and through godly counselors. As a Christian, you must have known the way God speaks to you overtime, just like we know the way our earthly fathers communicate to us. God will speak to you in the same way in the area of your marriage.
Secondly, you need to communicate to God about your desire, through prayers. You ask in faith. He knows the best for you. God made Eve for Adam and not Adam that created Eve by himself. God said is not good for a man to be alone. Don't give God conditions such as; my husband must be a doctor, very tall, light in complexion etc. Pray with an open mind, that you need His best.
Thirdly, be patient as well. Don't be in a hurry. After you have done the will of God, you need patient to receive the promise. Even when you are convinced that God is leading you, YOU STILL NEED CONFIRMATION. And the best confirmation is Peace of mind. Marriage is binding for life until death do you part, and as such you can’t rush into it and rush out. That’s not God’s way. And that’s what most people practice today, but as Christians, we can’t do that. God frowns at such practice. Fourthly, don’t reject the person God is leading you to. He may be Mr. Nobody today and later become Mr. somebody tomorrow. Don’t say this man is not handsome; he is not working in an Oil company etc. He read Zoology, who says Zoologist cannot become President of a Nation. That’s why you need to rely on God for His perfect leading and guidance. Never go into pre-marital sex. You can also go for godly marriage counseling as well. There is safety in the multitude of counsels. Anyway, that’s my little contribution for now. Mind you, all I said, I practiced and they worked for me. I pray you will come back to say it also work for. My prayer is that you will not resolve to self-help. WORD |
