hotspec: Thanks for reacting to my stupid comment. it shows we have something in common. from ur comment, I strongly believe Ure not residing in Lagos. According to Lagos APC politics, Ambode has done nothing to enable men and women that supported them benefit. do u know d numbers of people that have lost their jobs since he came on board? the number of PS he sacked? Even d private companies dt packed refuse, which belongs to party people, he stopped them. that's why u see LAGOS taken over as d dirties city in Nigeria of recent.
Ask from landlords how much Ambode is asking or proposing that they should be paying as tenement rate? Ask for d num of abandoned and dragging projects dt litters d State?
D APC people dt put him there have all come out to tell us that he has failed them and d entire LAGOS. what is my own to say no. Did u see anywhere I mentioned Tinubu?
Lastly, have u seen anybody from LAGOS (APC or PDP) coming out to defend Ambode? Ask d people there.they will tell u what happened.
You don't just have a brain, use it. I am an APC chieftain but I defend Ambode. |

El rufai was choosen as sole candiate to kaduna election... ganduje also.. I really dont understand why zamfara case is different... the party can still forward names to inec on 18th Olodo go and read |

Must you come here to display your ignorance? They are arguing on a matter that has not been clarified yet and you are here confirming it is a manipulation already. Is that how easy vote manipulation is? When all your party agents, media, international observers and even inec have results from every single polling unit with live broadcast while counting. Before inec even start counting, media and party agents will have even done their own calculations. I don't know why so many people especially youths always leave their brains on vacation while they are here thinking from their anuses? When the previous elections were not rigged in the past, what was the achievement of oppositions in the state? All this grammar and you did not make sense and I confirm this manipulation. |

Babygiwa:

A quick intervention on state of security in Lagos has been applied by Nigerian Police Force, which was confirmed to had issued a confidential directive, asking Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Imohimi Edgal, to step down from his current officer with immediate effect, while his area commander take charge of affairs of the command, under supervision of Assistance Inspector General of Police, overseeing Zone 2.
The step down directive, though not yet in public, must have connection with All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship primary election which is about take place on Tuesday after it was shifted three times consecutively on no explained reasons.
It would recalled that The Guild reported on Sunday that Edgal’s transfer was on the way and that the rational behind the action would definitely be as result of no confidence expression by the party members, against the CP.
However, a source from the police headquarter who spoke to The Guild through phone disclosed that the CP had been informed to step down as Lagos commissioner of police and that the decision must have been as a result of several reports indicting Edgal.
He added that the directive had also been forward to group of senior officer in the police but that the CP destination was not yet known.
The source hinted that Edgal may have to report to Abuja first for instruction before resuming else where but that the CP too did not know yet know his faith on the development.
Besides, a senior police officer who confided in The Guild stated that the CP’s transfer was expected since APC primaries was due and Edgal has relationship with the state incumbent Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, whose second term agenda was rejected.
More detail soon…

…Disowns Elections Held In Some Centres On Monday …Obasa, Faleke Kick
The Electoral Panel set up by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to conduct the Governorship Primaries in Lagos State on Monday said all members of the party with both slips and membership cards will be allowed to vote to decide the governorship candidate of the party in the State.
Clement Ebri
Addressing reporters at the party secretariat on Acme Road in Ogba after meeting with members of the State Executive Council of the party and some stakeholders, Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Clement Ebri, said the Committee had resolved to allow all members of the party to participate in the exercise. He said: “We are here to inform the party leadership on the basic guidelines we are going to use for the primaries tomorrow.”
On the criteria to be used for those who would be participating, Ebri said: “You have to have your membership cards and your name must be on the register. Those who have slips and their names are on the membership register of the party will also be allowed to vote.”
When asked to comment on the elections said to have been held in some centres across the State, Ebri simply said: “I am not aware of that
Also speaking, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa and member of House of Representatives representing Ikeja, James Faleke, said the decision of the Electoral Committee was unacceptable to stakeholders of the party in the State.
“We met with the Electoral Committee from Abuja as stakeholders including the Council Chairmen, members of the House of Representatives, members of House of Assembly and the party officials and we were briefed about the coming primary election here in Lagos which they told us they have directive from Abuja to adopt use of ballot papers which we, as stakeholders, have rejected,” Obasa said. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/10/primaries-apc-members-with-slips-party-cards-can-vote-in-lagos-electoral-panel/ |

Lyoncrescent: In a way the PSP model was made up of Local private Investors. Most of the loading centres fashola constructed for LAWMA were handed over to visionscape. LAWMA and the PSP were functional but not perfect. They used to come once a week, mondays to be specific to pick my dirt and they bring bill and i pay them at the end of the month.Nowadays, my dirt is picked up once in a month . Nothing wrong in making a local investor probably selected from the pool of PSPs to form a consortium from which they can then offer what visionscape is offering. Thats a more organic growth and it would not have disrupted the process that was functional under fashola.
Visionscape however on paper is a good plan, but the change management and the strategy of using foreign investors without giving first refusal to local investors is what led to the issues we have with waste management. Thats my opinion but i am open to yours as i am not an expert in this regards. That plan was amended but the PSP operators sabotaged the whole process. Either ways Lagos would be liable for 50 Billion Naira being the cost of the bond utilized by Visionscape. |

Lyoncrescent: All is well, Please lets not loose sight. Even though i am not for Ambode, let is be known that Tinubu,Ambode and Sanwolu are all doing this for their personal interests and not for the interest of the masses.
As far as the masterplan is concerned, i can give you a good example where Ambode deviated from the Plan. Lamata is supposed to regulate the transport sector including BRT in Lagos while LASG is supposed to build infrastructure. The Ikorodu to TBS BRT corridor for example is regulated by LAMATA and the BRT lane was constructed by the Lagos State Government. A private company named Primero actually runs the airconditioned buses that move from Ikorodu to TBS to Ikorodu everyday. The private company is also responsible for the fueling, maintenance and employing of drivers. As the company is private, it can be adequately regulated by LAMATA.
Mr. Ambode to score points built a fantastic Ikeja Bus Terminal which is good but then went to use lagos state money to acquire the buses instead of letting private sector do the acquisition of buses. Ambode wants to use Lagos state money to buy 5000 buses for the bustops hes constructing. Whats wrong if seun of nairaland has money and wants to apply to buy 2000 buses for a particular route and LAMATA regulates seun ?Now Lagos state will be responsible for fueling the buses and maintenance and other things which will breed corruption. Also, Lagos state will be regulating itself as LAMATA who is the regulator will now be regulating Lagos state buses. Governments are not good in doing business.
May i also remind you guys that the Ikeja Bus terminal and the buses parked there was commissioned around March/April this year. This is almost six months later and my able governor is still building bustops to accommodate the buses he bought six months ago. What a visionary leader.
This is just one aspect under BRT where ambode deviated from what tinubu and fashola started. Imagine if we start going into each of the other sectors. I wish him the best. Clever of Tinubu not to mention ambodes name and sanwolus name in the press release. All the best to APC tomorrow. Contrast your statement with the Visionscape imitative were investors were brought to invest in Lagos waste's business. |
