There is an Area Called CASSO Its comprises of 3 major streets (Ijaoye,Babayemi and Adeniyi street) in Alagbado Area of Ojokoro LCDA which has been in Darkness for the past 4 months because there is no Transformer and because of this, we have been experiencing so many problems in this area like Armed Robbery, bags snatching and so on, which we had never been experiencing before. Everyone in this Area never sleeps with their eyes closed because they robbed us on a daily basis in this Area.
In the last Election, I am one of the pioneer youth who fought so hard just to convince everyone to vote massively for APC party both at Federal Level and State because of what the former Governor did was so great and what else could we have reward me other than to vote for his party. I go from one street to another and talk to everyone to vote for APC without asking anything from any politician because i did that for my Country and for the progress of my country, Nigeria.
Now people who i convinced to vote for APC had been visiting on a daily basis and asking me if this is the Change i convinced them to vote for?? I understand this might not be in your knowledge but i am pleading on behalf on the whole community to pls give us a transformer so that normalcy can be in the community and we can sleep with our two eyes closed.

Flashback!!! My friend did something. He actually did it. He raped a 12 year old orphan girl and in our place it's death sentence for a man to rape a woman let alone 12 year old. He was drunk. We went to this party and he drank too much. Both of us were walking to our car so I drive him home then we saw this little girl. Even at 12 she looked 21 so perhaps my friend in his drunkenness over the wine got carried away and went after her. I tried to stop him but u could not. Right he front of me be hurt the little girl and someone caught him ad called it in.

We were both arrested. The person confirmed I was innocent that it's my friend who did it. But my father once worked in the Navy before retirement into private business, so alot of the police and law officials in our town know me very well. So they said I should give testimony in court of what i saw. I looked at my friend this is friend since childhood. This is friend that taught me how to use the swing. This is friend who taught me how to write my first code of programming to which I'm I'm a veteran now in programming. I cannot just throw him out the window. Then I said to my said elf "The devil you know is better than the angel you do not know"

I told the court the woman who saw us lied!!! That it was another man (actually her fiancé) who was with her that committed the crime and she want to protect hin. I said it with authority and confidence even I believed it to be true.

And like I said my father has reputation in the law enforcement so the judge said that based on the reputation of my father n the country (a navy chief) my words do hold water and the court will take it as true. Another lady (my wife now) backed me up. Perhaps she liked me. Said she was also there. That it wasn't my friend.

Long story short, the innocent man who was to marry his woman faced the death sentence just because i lied to protect my friend. My wife lied too (to support me) but she is fine with it. I was even discussing this with hr this morning that I'm feeling guilty now. She said I should forget it that people die everyday. That sometimes people have to be sacrificed to save another. She is just cool like it's nothing but I keep seeing flashes of the woman when she cried and her fiancé was taken away for what he did not do. It's driving me crazy

Please nairaland what do you think is the right thing I do?

Order was also granted to enable PDP inspect election materials.

Well, the definition of that elected would be determined by the Supreme Court IF Faleke pursues his case up to that level. At believe me, he clearly has a case based on the previous Supreme Court rulings. Let me highlight the basis for you:

1. The Constitution of Nigeria, Section 181 is clear, if both the Governor & Deputy cannot enjoy the spoils of an election, a NEW ELECTION must be done.
2. The SC had previously held that in line with Section 181, ONLY a Deputy Governor candidate can inherit the votes of another candidate.
3. The SC has also previously held that a vote in an election is JOINTLY owned by The Governor, The Deputy and The Party. It averse that the only one transferable is from the Governor to the Deputy.
4. The SC has also previously held that a Supplementary Election is not a new election with a new date, BUT it is deemed to have taken place on the date of the main election.

Therefore if the Supplementary Election held on the main election date, then only Faleke can inherit those votes and no one else. This is even more so as no one on the Main election date voted for Bello in any guise.

Clearly, Faleke going by the judicial precedence of the SC, will surely be declared the valid Governor of Kogi State IF Faleke takes his case to the Supreme Court.

Dude am a lawyer and i get tired when people quote precedence without backing up their motions/opinions with decided cases and statutes ? The Supreme Court will not add to the definition of elected because of Falekes's Candidacy.
If we are to follow the decided case of Darius ishiaku, INEC, PDP vs the APC & Aisha Jummai; Faleke is a goner simply because the Court of Appeal decided that a candidate who never contested in a primary cannot challenge the election of Party's Candidate as he has no locus standi has an interested party.
