zo3184: Now,I see why other Nigerians never want Igbos to be president of Nigeria, there pettiness is that of a child, you claim you are the best Nigerians you don't have nothing to show for it, all you do is talk, you talk so much of your wealth I started thinking that Dangote is Igbo, you claim you so enterprising, all you are is a mom and pop businessman and all you do is trying to out do each other, you are only running your mouth in Africa in America you don't even show up in the business arena, in Houston that have large opulation of Igbo, the thriving African business people are Yoruba not Igbo, the richest black man in America is a Yoruba from Houston, Texas the epicenter of Igbo nation in America, you talk like you are the only one that can make money, you claim you are Jews of Africa, at least the real Jews have prosperous Israel to show for it,they move there money from all over the world and move it to Isreal, you need to move your money and develop Igboland not Biafra and stop that Biafra talk you don't have water, Biafrans are for River Ikwere people and they don't like you, now I see why, you are ungrateful people that are ready to bite the finger of a man feeding him, you are very toxic, Awolowo is really a genius for seeing through your collective East Africans selfish thinking and for you Yoruba Ronu people, Ogunde warn you 40years ago, you are very deserving of all the insult been inflicted on your culture, you are too accommodating. You are Africans you need to be barbaric, you have barbarians at your gate. All 70 million member of Yoruba Nations both home and abroad from Nigeria to our brethren in West Africa, Caribbean and Brazil you need to rise up and stop this cultural nicety.
Stop counting poeple's money for them. How much have u made on your own?

breezy047: No he didn't descend that low to banter back words with the igbo governor.

Isn't it better to remind him there's a proper channel to resolve such issues between political office holders than to banter words back to him like rascals? cheesy
He did not address the issue. He didn't say that he had communicated Gov Obi prior to his action. How did he want the governor to call/communicate when he didn't embrace that channel in the first place?
He didn't address the issue at stake period! I guess Naija politicians love folks like u who are easily confused. How is Onitsha a dumping ground for someone from Ebonyi state?
PoliticsRe: Fashola Replies Peter Obi Over Alleged Deportation Of Igbos From Lagos by adconline(m): 2:29am On Aug 02, 2013
Typical Naija Way of not solving question. I had expected the Fashola to say two things . 1: I authorised it and and acted within the law.
2: I never authorised it and folks involved should be punished.
Rather, he resorted to reminding us of Anambra political calendar, which he should have taken into consideration before his deportation order. Naija is bereft of political leadership!

baby_123: Where in the article did you see deportation. So say for instance a mad person runs away from home, is that okay? What about a minor? What about the beggars? If a mad person and minor are found far away from home, then taking them back home to be reunited with their families is not a crime. For the beggars, they either go to jail or they go home. Which one will they choose. They dont have to drop everyone in their house, they drop them at the closest state and they find their way back home. Too many nuisances in Lagos. I am glad to see that we dont have all those niger children in the 100's anymore begging on the street, and some can even be violent if you refuse to give. Why didnt you advocate for them as well? Or are you just a bigot showing yourself? After all we are all ecowas. Most of the street urchins rob and make life difficult for the average lagosian. Even the mad men too, right now yaba left is full. Other states should be responsible for their poor and mentally ill. If they find mentally ill Lagosians by all means return them. Please, stop the false outrage. I have never seen northerners complain, after all same was done to them. So abeg.
How is Onitsha home to someone from Ebonyi State? How is this reunion?
PoliticsRe: Lagos Didnt Deport Beggars, Only Reunited Them With Their Families by adconline(m): 4:34pm On Jul 30, 2013
naptu2: The reason why nobody has been able to sue is simply because nobody has been deported.

People who violate environmental sanitation laws are given 4 options (previously they were given 3 options).

1) Go to a rehabilitation centre

2) Go to jail.

3) Repatriation/re-integration

4) Community service.

Basically, they make a choice.

Furthermore, it is not only non-lagosians that are given the choice of re-integration. If the arrested person is from Lagos, the ministry will search for the person's relatives and reunite him with his family.

The goal is to ensure that the person has no reason to commit the offence again.

Think about it, it would be a waste of resources to simply round up people and expel them, because they will simply get on the next bus to Lagos.

Note: the process is well documented.
Do you know what ultra- vires means in law? Deportation is beyond the power of LASG; as freedom of movement in Naija constitution is guaranteed to every Naija citizen.. Deportation applies to Naija territory and it's only the FG that has the exclusive power to deport. Exclusive list of FG...Why did LASG dump someone from Ebony in Onitsha? Did someone in his cabinet not pass Naija elementary school Geography/Current Affairs?
PoliticsRe: Nigeria To Get Electricity From Cameroon by adconline(m): 3:31pm On Jul 30, 2013
Arosa: You are the silly one here, it does not matter where the electricity comes from, what matters is that you have it. getting electricity from our neighbouring countries is part of the solution to our electricity problems. Nigeria do not have enough money to provide adequate power for its population, corruption aside. IF YOU THINK OTHERWISE THEN YOU ARE DELUDED.
You are the fool. Naija generates 4500 MW for over 163 million while Cameroun generates 1100MW for 20 million people . Breaking the numbers for blind patriotic zealots like you.. Naija 1MW serves 36,000 people while in Cameroun, 1MW serves 18,000 people.. half of Naija.. Some idiots like you started using US as a started. US imports because its highly industrialised, Naija is under-industrialised and incapable of building new power plants.. Power sector is a cesspool of corruption in Naija.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria To Get Electricity From Cameroon by adconline(m): 6:29pm On Jul 29, 2013
Arosa: Do you know that America gets some of its electricity from Canada?
Can we be like America stupid? USA gets energy from Canada because US consumes more as a result of its industrialisation, while Naija is getting from Cameroun because of corruption and inability to generate electricity in this day and age.

Your limited view of a better run country like Quatar is based on visiting 26 states in Naija, instead of 26 well-run countries. No wonder a Naija university graduate who owns cars was so adamant that "tubeless" tyres would no be possible without tube. U know a well run country by the way it treats her "poorest" people. The best part in Naija is nothing to best part of Quatar's business district.how many times have Quatar's citizen hosted parties in Naija? How many of them come to Naija to shop? How many of their citizens own houses in Naija? But a lot of Naija folks go their for parties, holiday, shopping. We keep changing the goal post because we are a lazy bunch. If comparing Naija with larger economies, would assuage your delusion of grandeur, check Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, Venezuela. You are taking a jab at yourself for not expanding your horizon.. A comparison is based on 2 or more known quantities. You can't say that Naija is beautiful when compared with Quatar; and your basis for saying that is because you have been to 26states in Naija without crossing Seme border. Go to Quatar and tell me ur results.

Aside from lagos and abuja, i've lived in Calabar, Kano, Akwa ibom, PH due to my work. Unlike Qatar and other countries that focus their developments in one state, many Nigerian states are more developed than you think.

Just cause you live in a ghetto doesn't mean the rest of the world don't have them. Move around before you paste this kind of baseless thread again.
You are in denial. No country that is blessed like Nigeria is badly run like Naija. Don't bring Mali, Somalia,Nigeria. Compare Indonesia, Malaysia, Venezuela, Brazil

mzbraidebraide: I'm interested in this b'cos exactly 2months ago, I said the exact thing you just said...

In my church the all the women discussed about was marriage, in school all they discussed abbout was marriage...at that point I thought I was wierd....infact, some girls laughed at me b'cos I had a different view about life....I talked about it to a friend, I was trying to find out if I was wierd and I was told to leave my comfort zone and plunge deep into the world...

As I found out, I'm not alone..I found out that there are even women that have the fire blazing hot for their various careers...infact, some women tone it down b'cos of the fear that MEN will not get married to them if they are so great...I repeat, it's only lazyy ass women that think, talk, breathe, eat and drink MARRIAGE....

My dear, this is the 21st century, take aa good look around and you'll see Nigeria is changing...Just give us some more time and I bet u'll eat your words..
If this is meant to score some debate points, then it could stand, but using your subjective experience as an empirical outcome is false logic. Most women in Naija are looking up to marriage as the solution . A simple survey of your mates in higher institution would just reveal this. Then conduct a sample survey amongst your relatives who are girls and ask them how many would choose career over marriage? 21st century Naija is yet to catch up with folks like. Don't get me wrong, there are folks like you, but you are in super minority, so we can use most in this argument without offending your sensibilities. It's like saying that most Nigerians are poor.. Correct!

njokusboy: The problem is that most nairalanders argue without objectivity... To them wole soyinka cannot be wrong, I am not saying he is... Patience jonathan has too many excesses, most of which are insulting to nigerians. However, resulting to frontal attacks and mindless name calling isn't the most diplomatic way to handle the situation. Secondly, I didn't hear him say anything about the pro- amaechi dude who resulted to physical violence to inorder to put his point across. To me, there is no better definiton of BIAS than that. Wole soyinka I notice is becoming more political than rational, which isn't gud for his image.
If u understand objectivity as you claim, you should have known that Patience has no constitutional authority besieging a state where the Gov was duly elected by the people. Reuben Abati said this same thing WS is saying in 2010. A gov of a state does not have the right to develop his state? Patience is a Mad vampire!

So what can you say about Wole Soyinka AKA MOP?
Come on! WS's followership compared to Hitler? You must be freaking out of your mind. You have nothing against him cos nobody in your lineage in 1000 years can match up to his status. PoliticsRe: Dokubo - Underage Marriage Our Right As Muslims by adconline(m): 3:32pm On Jul 20, 2013
Me_Aboki: My friend, its a matter of choice, a legitimate right for those who wish to pursue it, it is not up to you or anybody to deprive them of that right, just in them same way that the Pope allows for sex between people as young as 13 years in the Vatican, in fact why don't you address the same question to him - at least Muslims give it the dignity of marriage.
It's not a legitimate right if you force a child to marry. Got it? Get it? Would you allow your daughter to marry? Why are boys not put in the same situation?
PoliticsRe: Dokubo - Underage Marriage Our Right As Muslims by adconline(m): 4:15am On Jul 20, 2013
Me_Aboki: This issue has been over flogged by Islamophobes who enjoy using this as an opportunity to mock the religion of Islam and the prophet (SAW) for having married a girl of nine; while forgetting the tender age at which Mary the mother jesus was betrothed to joseph.
Some would argue that, well that was many centuries ago and such tradition should no longer apply in modern society, forgetting also that up till today that the Christian capital, the Vatican, still maintains the age for sexual consent at 13 yrs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ages_of_consent_in_Europe).
BTW, we are not even talking of marriage but fornication, which is increasingly becoming more and more acceptable within Christian communities these days, as Christians continue changing (or more accurately, devaluing) their religious principles in the name of modernity - gradually turning it into man made rather than a religion from God.
Talking about paedophelia, well we all know that the biggest paedophiles are in fact Christian Catholic priests, who specialise in young boys.
Yes, Muslims prefer to marry off their daughters early in order to safeguard them from the temptation of fornication and should continue to be an option for those Muslims who wish it, therefore nobody should have the right to take it away - especially Christians who it least concerns, rather they should concentrate on cleansing their rapidly decaying religion which condones tolerance for fornication, homosexulity, alcoholism etc.
Its shocking yet not surprising that today Christian men in Nigeria are increasingly choosing to impregnate their women before marrying them for fear that the girl could have been a serial fornicator whose womb could have been abused and expired due to several previous abortions for other men - God forbid bad thing!
Would you allow your 13-yrd old to be married to a 40yr old papa? You clearly do not know the difference between health issues vs religion. Fornication=religion: marriage to a minor= health
PoliticsRe: Dokubo - Underage Marriage Our Right As Muslims by adconline(m): 2:33am On Jul 20, 2013
Dagoma: We'll continue to marry at young age, let them continue to marry after their daughters might have finished their prostitution or become frustrated or become old or all of the above.
You will continue to breed BH and almajiris as these children are left to fend for themselves. Why the fascination with marriage and having too many kids and no emphasis on taking care of them. The rich are getting richer and the poor are wasting productive hours making babies and not taking care of them.
