na2day!:Look at you and look them Obamas.. Why are u hating on someone whose smallest accomplishment nobody i. your lineage IS (mark my word) going to accomplish? |
Another waste of public funds even with 25% investment. Why the fascination with National Carier? Why not build power plants to power Naija. Naija Airways and Virgin failed, what makes this one different? |
eldoradoxx: Nigeria is a constitutional democracy where law and order and not sentiment reigns. By our laws waterways of such category belong to and are managed by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Therefore by simple interpretation of law and using some principles of law quid quid plantatur solo solo cedis, he who owns the land (water in this case) owns everything on it. Since the water on which the bridge was built belongs to Federal Government of Nigeria, the bridge is deemed to belong to Federal Government of Nigeria and Lagos state cannot by any means toll that road or even control traffic there. I share similar case here in Edo where Edo State Traffic Management Agency now impound vehicles on Federal Highways in Benin. Recently they impounded mine for traffic violation though after a street fight with their officers and serious debate with their boss in their office, they reduced their fine of 20k to zero kobo. But I have decided to go to Court to challenge the action of Edo state government in permitting its agencies to regulate traffick, impose fines for traffick violation on a Federal Highway. It is illegal.Thank you for making a sense on NL where common sense is rocket science. Also, FG is being sued with LASG by a private citizen. The private citizen is going to ask the court to mandate FG to enforce his rights since the land and waterways belong to FG. |
nous: Gosh, many people have comprehension problem (that is what happens when your objectivity is blinded). See the way they are castigating the FG as if it was the FG that sued the Lagos state government.English comprehension skills taught by partisan hawks! Poor reading skill is the problem. |
billante: Was it necessary to reply that lunatic![quote author=billante]Where did u read that all of those things would be provided? How is it possible to build a power station and steel mill etc inside an aerotropolis ? |
I think folks don't know the difference between a peer reviewed scholarly article and online articles. I was hoping to see a study that used the same sample/source/data but produced different results. Could anybody publish the raw data sourced from those organizations? |
mechummy: FIrst of all, why marry someone you don't trust? IMHO Big NO to prenupYou should answer that question. Why do people profess undying trust and love only to end up in a bitter divorce/custody battle ?Nowadays, trust and love are not eternally ingrained in marriage, rather, they are predicated on the husband doing something in return for those or vice versa. Trust and love today could mean hate and divorce tomorrow, so you might as well get an insurance coverage pre-nup' |
Flytefalls: I am not marrying a man who wants a prenup. NoSo what are you bringing to the table? What's your greatest asset? |
onila:She ain't! Matter of fact, she's smart above most of her peers! |
mechummy: It means he doesn't trust her. I ain't signing no prenup sooo I'll passFrom trust to divorce, what happened? Love pretends to conquer everything, but divorce kills and destroys any pretence of love and lives. Would you not use a condom if u knew that u would get an Std? |
nwabekeyi: I guess his words are right, based on GDP, abia has got more dan dat pls, dat stat is wrong. Why is Naija debate so devoid of facts/figures? Present a contrasting data for us to read. Why is this so hard to do? Why every piece of information has to come from unverifiable source? The opponent of a "fact" is the originator of his/her " idea" no reliable secondary source of information. Why does subjective/emotional experience trump researched empirical data in Naija? |
Most times, they will be telling you about someone who caught their attention with a "very nice" car. If you ask for make and model of the car, they don't know, but it sure does look "nice" to them. So it can be nice to them and not expensive.. Lol |
ogugua88: If it's something he feels strongly about, then he should try to make her understand his reasons for doing so. At the same time though, he should ponder whether or not signing a prenuptial agreement is more important than making his fiancée his wife.Ogugua, you are light years ahead of your peers! |
homerac7: ^^^The question is simple . Present another data/map to support your view. Literacy map Ogun is 61-80% while Yobe is 41-60%. How are these 2 figures at par? Saying that GPD is incorrect is a bit of a stetch. HDI is UN developed and would still attract critism from Naija HDI is not the same as GDP. Equatorial Guinea has a higher GDP than S Korea, S/Korea is a world class country while E/Guinea is still poor. HDI tracks all human developments. Also on GNI, Kuwait has a higher GNI than the US - while the US is higher in terms of HDI ranking almost by 20pct point, because US is way ahead of development when compared to Kuwait. in Naija case, a state with a better GPD is most likely to have a better HDI. GNI does not do you any good because Dangote's investment -mostly is South/West will be counted toward Kano state's GNI |
busar: I think there are more teenage pregnancy in USA also. Besides i don't see anything wrong in this if they matured enough and married. There is everything wrong with this! The kids are not being taken care of by their parents. They are sent out for street begging.Naija idea that kids are wealth must stop. The rich are getting richer by planning and having fewer kids while the poor are getting poorer by having more babies. |
ayswags2: ibos and their victim mentality, where u heading to with this useless assertionYou are suffering from Paranoid schizophrenia How did Igbos make it here? Someone mentioned Edo and Anambra, then it turns into Igbo bashing. |
oshea44: Yoruba people dont brag of one thing, cos they got many... i wonder why igbos are so insecure, I am living in Canada and I met few African and whenever I talked to this African brothers who have igbo-Nigerian friends, they say Lagos is igbo state and owned by Igbos, what surprise me more, the same igbos will come online and start saying rubbish about Lagos-Yoruba. If Yoruba Ancestors were more smart and educated than others Tribe Ancestors, I think this Generation dont want that to happen, but fight with mouth and talk, Honestly, that wont help, cos Igbos generation has no achievement up till date, but deceived by the fake lives, igbo celebs lives on TV.. As long as I know, Achebe is only Igbo Legend and no one is denying that, who elseWhat have you won on your own stupid? Stop counting another person's achievement or money. If you think you are good tell us your real name right and we wait when you make good history. What a cretin! |
homerac7: what I think for sure is that your demographic maps are incorrect. it is sad that a Nigerian is using map drawn by an "Ulrich" on Nigerian forum. How can a German know you better than yourself? Well...I have travelled fairly wide around Nigerian, and I know that all the maps (maybe except the oil pipeline routes which i am not sure of) are highly inaccurate.Naija's foolish way of rebutting or denying FACTS. I don't believe in your data, Fine! Show us your goddamn own peer-reviewed data!! You have nothing. Saying I don't believe does not win argument, facts and figures do. you should be embarrassed that foreigners have a better metric for measuring Naija socio-economic growth/retrogress and Naija does not have anything. |
Is it poll or pole? Headline is a bit confusing. |
omiobo: Oga me offer prayer, you offer work. All joinKeep deluding urself! |
omiobo: To you is empty because you are not the subject of the matter. You didn't offer any help but only prayer. Prayer without GOOD work is in VAIN! |
omiobo: If I have not helped him, thank God you have helped him. One way or the other he will be helped. There are so many ways of solving a problem,my opinion is one of them. Don't write me off.Stop using God's name in vain. God is solution oriented and your advice is empty. |
Bless your heart. My sister was knocked over by a bus and was taken to a hospital, but she got the little or no care because there nobody to make a deposit. |
omiobo: I don't know about medical solution to your predicament but I know of a solution which is Prayer. You have the power to bind the forces behind your problem if you have faith. You have not helped the OP. This Naija mentality of praying our way out of our problem without working for it is ridiculous. Faith without work is in VAIN! Stop drinking any liquid after 6pm. Urinate before going to bed, set ur alarm to wake up to use the restroom say at 12am. |
iamswizz: what makes u tink so?because u have refused to re-educate yourself |
gbadexy: Op, you probably didn't fully comprehend the news or you probably just posted it anyways.Where was God when poorer countries like Haiti, Cuba and Jamaica got hit on several occasions? |
kingoflag: Nigerians did not reject him, rather ignoramuses and lovers of mediocrity and a decrepit society gave his opponent 98.7% "votes" in their area... let's not forget that YouTube showed us how sometimes one man voted 1500 times in one sitting.Keep dreaming. Ignoramuses and lover of mediocrity rejected him three times. Read the response again! Did you pick Buhari over OBJ? |
hollandis: what is wrong with NIGERIA men? how come I have never seen them with slim shadies? except fatsos.Anytime they are with slim girls ..the girls are usually the ones that need a black manliness and they can call it quits anytime. it is a no no when it comes to marriage so the men end up with ladies that are discarded and rejected by their foreign men the fatsos end up being the wives of Nigerian men ..na wa oThe question should be why are most Naija wives in the US fat? |
Some APC ignorant folks are attacking Dr. Ezeife unknown to them that he was a founding member of AD with Olu Falae and Tinubu. As AD turned to ACN and to APC, they owe Ezeife some favor and gratitude |
MostHigh: I will take this your answer to mean (NO I don't know what self sufficiency is, never heard of it)Please scan and upload your ATM card and state your PIN number as well. Let's start from your loaded bank account before the Armageddon comes upon us. |
U dey owe somebody for 5months and still claim everything dey under control. If na bribe can they wait for 5 months after dey don deliver?? |
dabrake: I now see why seun had problems with you(or is it the other way round?). You are the most 'unintelligent' fellow I've ever encountered onlineThe most incoherent blabber on NL goes to him |
