RomanceRe: Why Marry Early? I Would! by adconline(m): 9:07pm On Jan 30, 2013
webizone: I am gonna be 26 this year, male and (shocked?) would really want to get married. Why is it shocking to most people when I say this? Things like 'enjoy ur life first', 'continue school till PhD''Get job or make money first''build house and buy car first' usually come up. I am gonna say it, even though I could do all those, I couldn't when my passion is naught. I found that I needed the joy of companionship.
Why bring another child in this world just for the sake of companionship? Are u thinking of taking carebof kids that might be a result of such companionship?

PoliticsRe: What Was Budgeted By Lagos For Feeding In 2013? by adconline(m): 10:13am On Jan 16, 2013
thelastPope: Why are you guys this ignorant? Food budget is not for eating in cabinet meetings. The FG does not serve food in cabinet meetings. Every tier of government entertain various kinds of guests daily from local to international guests. Lagos state invites and liaises with professional, civil society, international organisations, etc on daily basis just like the FG and other state governments. This is not rocket science and the governor does not pay from his pocket. It is not a personal thing. To say he pays from his pocket is a ridiculous thing to say. The @op has asked a question. If you do not have the answer, you waka pass. it is not by force to answer. But to suggest that a tier of government does not have a fund for taking care of feeding and entertainment for guests and events is ridiculous. The LASG government has hosted musical artists for example, on many occasions and paid them millions and put them in hotels and fed them Same for civil society groups, foreign visitors and much more. The government spent millions on refreshments during the launching of the blue rail project last week. Governments do these and much more on daily bases and they are all budgeted for. Nothing is spent in government outside the budget. It is unconstitutional to spend monies outside the budget. I shouldnt be telling you that!
Keep preaching to folks who have the lowest IQ in the world. Nigerians are allergic to simple logic and reasoning!

The most irritating thing is when servers in restaurants and hotels withhold your change for just no reason. I usually ask for my change when they want to "die it" and I would in turn give it to a different person.

DailyNews: Because you live abroad, and hear some atheist and unbelievers talk about in-existence of God, doesn't mean that God doesn't exist. Remember, it is this same whites that told us about a mightier God that has turned back to say, there is no God, and now, hardly do you see American and European youths worshipping God and serving him, instead on Sundays, they head to clubs, gym centers, they gather and mock God, and we all can see the dooms befalling the giant Europe, America, etc...and you keep following their wayward lifestyles thinking its the best, rejoicing that you are now wiser, wiser than the ancient philosophers who saw and believed in God.

Be careful, whether you live in Nigeria, Burkinafaso, Benin, Belgium, United States, Japan, Jamaica, Greece, France, United Kingdom, etc, it doesn't make you any wiser to know that God doesn't exist, and to conclude that those living in Nigeria and worsjipping God are fools...think twice, there are so many mysteries in this world that is beyond human understanding, and for your notice, there is a superior being that controls every other human and animal activities here on earth, believe it or not, but one thing that ought to convince you that there is God is the fact that you must die, and when you will die, you can't tell...

so if you think there is no God and that you are wiser than all, then come out and tell the world that you will not die, or that you will die on so so date and resurrect, and then fulfill it, and see if anyone will ever doubt you and your philosophy? But for now, keep quiet and watch God's people rejoice and celebrate the wonderful acts of God that's beyond your ordinary understanding, I believe in God Almighty, my family will forever believe and serve God, and I pray He remembers us daily and also reveals Himself to me and my family in ways human cannot understand.

God is mighty, Jesus Christ reigns forever!
With your epistle, many Nigerians would prefer to live in EU and US than to live in Naija where hell and devil reign even with our churches..

21st century, India is going to the space with science and technoly, Pakistan is building nuclear reactors, RSA is building BMW and Mercedes from scratch, Egypt is manufacturing car and plane parts, Brazil is building airplanes.. Iran is bulding nuclear reactors.. Venezuela, UAE and Saudi are exploring and refining their oil..All with science and technology. Naija is unable to do any of these.
Naija's answer to these accomplishments.. Miracles and religion.
Logically and intellectually challenged believe in miracles....while innovative minded believe in hard work, science and technology. Stupid folks are using Internet, BB, Facebook, computers etc without asking if they were invented by miracles or innovative human minds.

Seeking@truth: it is for this reason that our super eagles have formed the habit of relying onto God for victory in their matches without any effort from them. Nigerians like miracles so much that they even want food to get their stomachs miraculously.
Pastors ask for your money even though with miracles, they can live and enjoy comfortably without money or they can miraculously turn CBN vaults into theirs.
It's easier to believe in miracles like these cos hard work is painful and takes time to get rewarded. Roll up your sleeves and head back to work instead of dreaming.
Pastors sell you dreams and fantasies while they in turn collect your money to buy those dreams and fantasies!

jedisco: I see your problem is one that has to do with inferiority complex based on falsehood but let me try and put you in place.

1. I never said we have 5 million BB users. I said we have about 5 million smartphone users currently. ( http://www.nairarains.com/2012nigeria-smartphone-users-expected-to-hit-25-million-in-2016/ )

2. As of July 2011 we had about 1.2 million BB users. By February this year, that number had reached 2.4 million. Now that's double in just about 6 months.
( http://www.businessdayonline.com/NG/index.php/tech/telecoms/25088-blackberry-hits-1million-mark-in-nigeria ) ( http://www.businessdayonline.com/NG/index.php/tech/telecoms/32167-blackberry-hits-24-million-mark-in-nigeria ).

3. Now take such fast growth rates and add them to other developing nations like SA and Indonesia. The fact is that the markets RIM dominates are the rapidly expanding ones and if that trend continues, they would be here for a very long time. Most of the developed markets are not growing that fast.

4. You might think the figures from such markets don't matter, but as of the last quarter, RIM, HTC, LG, Sony, e.t.c all shipped smartphones between the 6 and 8 million mark.
If the current trend continues, then RIM may survive longer than most of them especially with BB10 arriving.

5. Also I don't know where you get it that most BBs sold are used. Maybe that's your experience but I know alot of people that have bought BBs in the recent past and not even one was secondhand.

6. Lastly maybe you should read this to see what others think of Nigeria and like countries in the role they have played and may play in safeguarding BB. Though they got some numbers wrong, it's still an interesting read because life does not start and end with Europe and America. http://crackberry.com/some-interesting-blackberry-statistics-nigeria
Ur problem is in arithmetic. Naija is less than 5% to sustain RIM.
Apple sold about 100m iPhones last yr while RIM has less than 80million users globally

jedisco: I don't know how you managed to get everything in your post wrong or maybe you just love pulling numbers from your anus.

1. Nigeria has well over 2 million BB users.
2. Half of BB users here buy them used? Please provide proof for this or throw it into the dustbin where you picked it from.
3.BBs are not to popular in Europe and America but are still very popular in Asia and Africa which is still a very significant market.
4. Following your logic, Apple just launched its first iPhone in China. If China was a huge market, they would have done that several years ago.
FYI China currently has the most smartphone users in the world..

Now you've seen your post was baseless, why not tell us the number of smartphones LG, Motorola, Sony Erickson and the whole lot of non-samsung OEMs sold in the last quarter and you would see that RIM are just as likely as they are to survive.
For a mathematically and analytically challenged like you.
You did not cite any source where u got ur 5mil BB users from.
Economist says Naija has 4mil smartphone users with BB accounting for 50% of the market share. 50% of 4mil is huh?
Even with your bandied 5mil BB users in Naija, it still accounts for 6.4% of BB global market, thus, it's very insignificant and cannot SAVE RIM. This ur 5mil figure is not taking into account that most people buy their phones used.. So Naija does not COUNT!
PhonesRe: Blackberry On List Of 10 Brands Likely To Disappear In 2013 by adconline(m):
jedisco: Why not provide proof for the trash you put up there. We have a rapidly expanding feature phone and smartphone market just like most of Africa and Asia where BBs are still popular.

I've seen much more people buying new BBs than I've seen buying androids or iPhones.

Let me start by asking you what market you think counts? As of the time symbian was in dominance, they were almost non-existent in the US.

Nigeria has over 5 million smartphone users. Do you know that's about the population of alot of countries in Europe? Have you bothered to ask yourself the number of smartphone users in most European countries?

Even iPhones are almost non-existent in most parts of Asia and just launched in China recently for the very first time.

What I'm trying to say is that although they are important, Europe and America do not constitute the world.

And for starters, why not tell me the number of new phones sold by RIM in the last quarter and compare that to other non-samsung android OEMs. You can also compare their profit margins.
Educating an ignorant mind!
BB global users: 78million
Naija BB users: 2 million
Naija BB market share: 2.7%
Half of BB users in Naija bought them used
How can 2.7% sustain RIM when other big markets in EU and America which account for above
60% are not doing OK?
RIM just opened shop in Naija a couple of months ago , if Naija is such a huge market they could have done it several years ago.
