GEOGRAPHY OF A WOMAN Between 18 and 22, a woman is like Africa. Half discovered, half wild, fertile and naturally beautiful! Between 23 and 30, a woman is like Europe. Well developed and open to trade, especially for someone of real value. Between 31 and 35, a woman is like Spain, very hot, relaxed and convinced of her own beauty. Between 36 and 40, a woman is like Greece, gently aging but still a warm and desirable place to visit. Between 41 and 50, a woman is like Great Britain, with a glorious and all conquering past. Between 51 and 60, a woman is like Israel, has been through war, doesn't make the same mistakes twice, takes care of business. Between 61 and 70, a woman is like Canada, self-preserving, but open to meeting new people. After 70, she becomes Tibet. Wildly beautiful, with a mysterious past and the wisdom of the ages. An adventurous spirit and a thirst for spiritual knowledge. THE GEOGRAPHY OF MAN Between 1 and 80, a man is like Iran , ruled by nuts. THE END |
In politics, the voice of the VP is much more assuring than that of Akunyili and Atty General. America would take VP's opinion far more seriously than all these mouth pieces. I have not heard anything from Jonathan ever since this Mutallab went on a suicide mission. " The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in times of comfort, but where he stands in times of adversity" This man is not a leader. As for folks saying that people should rally behind him, this Jonathan has not earned the equity for folks to support him. He's the one who should rally up the people to support him. Maybe he should hire Mrs Virgy Etiaba, Deputy Governor of Anambra State who took the mantle of leadership when her boss Peter Obi was put out of power to tell him how to do it. |
Jonathan is really a toothless bulldog. Gowon assumed the mantle of leadership when Ogundipe was the most senior officer, because there was a power vacuum. Even with OBJ's toughness, Atiku was able to make himself very powerful and visible. Why is Atttorney General more visible and powerful than the VP? If OBJ who was more ruthless , powerful and exprienced than Yar'dua could not remove Atiku, why do you think that Jonathan will be easily removed. It's only the NASS that can impeach Jonathan. He's not an appointee of the President. He was on "ticket" with Yar'dua |
Nuhu Ribadu testified before The US Congress in 2009. |
I agree that a committee should be set up to address religious extremism in Nigeria. Separate committees, can be formed to deal with Islamic, Christian and traditional issues separately. How many committees have been set to look into the killing of folks in the name Islam in the past? Were there conclusions? How people were persecuted? Why was the Boko Haram leader executed without a trial? We ve been here b4 and it did not work. Example 1. All religious schools (Islamic schools and bible schools) should be duly registered and monitored to make sure there are no extreme teachings in any of them. A law should be set up to make such a punishable offence. Bible schools dont train terrorists in Nigeria. They dont produce almajiris. They dont fight against western education. Did bible schools start Bauchi crisis and Boko Haram crisis? 2. All shrines in Nigeria should be closed with immediate effect Dont make this to look like every1 is a victim here. Any connection between religious killing and shrine in Nigeria. It's only folks like you make excuses for these terrorists. Y do U choose affinity with a faceless Taliban instead of a fellow Nigerian simply because s/he is of another faith? How do you justify that a Nigerian blood is a worthy price to pay for Israeli-Palestinian conflict? Did it occur to you that Muttallab could have killed Muslims and Nigerians as well on that plane? |
but NIGERIANS. look at southerns turning on northerners because the US doesn't like mutallab What a retarded post from an insular poster. Have u ever wondered that without 'white people' you would not be bluffing on this forum. Please check your big ego at the counter b4 coming to this forum. Maybe if you were on that flight, you would have known whyUS doesnt "like" Mutallab and they will put him where he belongs. Bush could have sent him to Egypt where they will put his balls on fire. |
From all we know, Islam is a peaceful religion Same thing as saying that Nigeria is great country. |
You are a very big foul not to realise things going around you.Forget what the US said all i know is that you have a deep hatred for muslims/northerners and you are using this medium to voice it out. Where is your outrage that a terrorist wanted to kill over 300 in the name of your Islam? For your information 99% of Local islamic school teachers have no any knowledge about world affairs including your so-called Heaven (USA) which you cant leave without, and on the issue of birthrate its rather unfortunate that your Fathers decided to be sleeping with lots of women rather than marrying only 4 of them and hence could not keep the wasted pregnancy therefore your population could not expand like the Almajiris. Y do you want to be a moral police? Y dou want to kill people who do not have the same idealogy? Why are u making excuses for killers? Y are u sounding like one of these terrorists? Y did u not get schooled at Islamic school? Y do Islamic elite send their kids to western education instead of Islamic schools? but you can correct it by marrying legally instead of sleeping with your neighbor cos am very sure how you will feel if you see your 14 year old sister sleeping with you friend, you will definately wish they are married. U are further reinforcing the notion that your religion is about waging war over superiority of ideas. With your good moral values, y do these adherents lag behind in literacy, health and wealth? Islamc Schools are here to stay, but you have 2 options;-wage a war to eradicate all Muslims or OR KEEP YOUR ROTTEN MOUTH SHUT ABOUT A RELIGION YOU KNEW NOTHING AND YOU CANT DO NOTHING about. You have spewed a lot of venoms that would make any sane mind to be weary of your faith. Or to say I'm happy I'm not in your faith. Finally,am really disappointed in the owners of this website, did you guyz create this forum as a means of abusing and sending insults on a particular set of people or believe? I thought all we are searching is for what will unite us rather than divide us,if its true then post like Violent should be discarded.Prove me wrong This site is for divergent ideas, so suck it up or go to a site that shares your radical views. This is 2010 not 1860, pluralism of thought is the new world order. |
This Muttalab terrorist got radicalised even when he was in Naija. cos he didnt become a muslim at 11. He even saw his parents as infidels when he was questioning if he would eat meat prepared by westerners on family trip to Europe. He wanted to be eating outside so that he would not have to join his sinful family. He was even doubtful of his parents' faith. He was the only one who rose in defense of Taliban when Americans attacked Afghanistan after 9/11. We all know that there is a connection between Islam in Nigeria and Al queda. These terrrosrits have on some instances linked Nigeria with their organisations and all these politrickians were busy thinking about how to move their families, girlfriends, and concubines overseas if Osama and co strike Nigeria. Now the chickens have come home to roost. For your information, virtually all the banks in Nigeria use CitiBank for international business transfers. Our import dependent country will immediately feel the harsh impact. This will be a big blow. Nigerians overseas remitted about $10 billion last years. guess what western union and moneygrams are US institutions, so you can imagine what would happen if they are barred from sending money to Naija. These are garri, amala and tuwo effects b4 we venture into intl relations. |
What family, his mom a yemeni is already in court since last year and if convicted, she'll doin 20years, as for the young man, if convicted he'll be doing a lifey Why is his mom in court? Any link? I wish that this guy will be sentenced to death by hanging. |

Ajanlekoko, Any prospects of selling or distributing lighting controls, sensors, reflectors, circuit breakers, contactors, load break switches, safety switches -relays etc in Naija |
with all the money these politrickians are looting, some of these governors could have bought treadmills and dentures at least to look OK. Why must everything from Naija look jaga jaga? Everything jaga jaga, scatter scatter!! Where is OBJ who shouted down Abdulkareem? |
Nigeria leader signature 'forged' Allies of Nigeria's ailing president forged his signature on the country's supplementary budget last month, opposition politicians have alleged. They have written to the police asking them to investigate the forgery claims. The government said President Umaru Yar'Adua signed the budget despite being treated for a heart condition in Saudi Arabia. Mr Yar'Adua has been away for six weeks, fuelling fears of a power vacuum in Africa's most populous nation. Doctors say he is suffering from acute pericarditis - inflammation of the lining of the heart. He also has a long-standing kidney complaint. In a bid to dispel fevered speculation over Mr Yar'Adua's health, ministers have insisted the president is recovering from treatment. Information Minister Dora Akunyili said the president had spoken to his colleagues over the telephone on Tuesday. Several court cases have been launched demanding that power be officially handed to the vice-president. And one group of activists has even suggested the president should be declared a missing person, and a search party should be sent out. 'Utter dismay' In the latest move, an umbrella group for the main opposition parties known as the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) has demanded that the police investigate the alleged forgery. The group's lawyer, opposition official Femi Falana, said in the letter that the CNPP had tried to verify claims by the government that the budget had been taken to Saudi Arabia for the president to sign on his sick bed. "To its utter dismay our client (CNPP) has confirmed that the signature of the president and the seal of the Federal Republic of Nigeria were forged by some persons in the presidency," the letter read. "Our client has instructed us to request you to use your good offices to set the engine in motion for the investigation and prosecution of those who carried out the nefarious act." The CNPP said it would take the issue to the federal court next week if the police failed to act. Mr Falana, who is also senior opposition activist, is behind one of the court cases being brought against the government. He wants judges to annul all decisions taken by the cabinet during the president's absence. In the other cases, one activist wants Mr Yar'Adua to be sacked because of his ill health and the Nigerian Bar Association is demanding that power be handed over to Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan. The courts have asked for the three cases to be merged, and the consolidated case is due to be heard next week. Story from BBC NEWS: http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/2/hi/africa/8445776.stm |
does she want to become a lawyer or Jerry Gana? |
@cap28 I am puzzled as to why america has decided to put nigeria on this terror blacklist. the idea that nigeria is now to be regarded as a state sponsor of terrorism is a pathetic joke - because the americans themselves know that nigeria has nothing to do with this fake terrorist attack. "A fake terrorist" doesn't buy a one way ticket with no luggage. Boarded a plane in Naija. This guy was clearly on a suicide mission. US has not classified Nigeria as a state sponsor of terror, but amongst nations of interests. consider cuba, libya and venezuela all so called rogue states - but isnt it interesting that these countries all have one thing in common they kicked out US and UK multinationals who were plundering and destroying their economies Conspiracy theories. Libya was as result of Lockerbie Bombing. By the way it caved in and has started business relations with the US. Venezuela is so much dependent on American dollars, it has got gas stations and refineries in the US. It's in top 4 US suppliers of crude oil. Venezuela cannot do without US. Cuba is about govt. This is indicative of the fact US doesn't flinch when it imposes sanctions. It's Cuba that is still suffering from US imposed sanctions. If US can bite Saudi Arabia, Nigeria is a small fry for a nation that has got an appetite for destruction if provoked. |
I dont know why these so called bankers have a sense of entitlement. they wrecked the economy, crashed the stock markets. If they are really smart and risk takers, let them go start their own businesses. I have families, friends, and clients who have lost money because of their recklessness. It was easier to take risk with people's money. They still want to retain their jobs while their customers/depositors have stagnant sales with huge inventories. Only in Nigeria. This recession has also hit me so hard, maybe I should picket against myself or banks for plunging us into this mess. |
watch the video and see that the federal govt gave the concessions. Remember TINAPA KATATA with customs and EPZ wahala? |
When we tried sending U home the whole world blamed us and called it xenophobic attacks! So now look at this! Americans should ship U back to West Africa or else the're in danger! How come u killed more black Africans from Zimbawe, Malawi,East Africa than Nigerians? US is acting in a civil manner, but blood thirsty thugs in RSA went on killing spree. USA govt has got balls to say that, RSA govt didnt and doesnt have the guts to say that. So blame ur govt. Terrorism is not the same as Zenophobia. |
100% tax free imports of raw materials and components for goods destined for re-export(this is big) I thought only the FG had the power to legistlate on this? |
Fashola should ask FG to repatriate foreign reserve. Maybe our banks are on live support to accomodate it. Maybe there is no power supply to power CBN and Bank's vaults. Maybe there is no manufacturing sector to absorb the money. |
US is telling Nigeria " I got an appetite for destruction and you're a small fry" Jay-Z. Theses idiots are complaining because they will be required to go through the same security measures with every Nigerian any time they want to travel. Imagine a thieving politician now being treated as a terrorist. "Problem dey sleep Iyanga go wake am, wetin you dey find palava" Fela |
afam, move to the real world. Imagine a Nigeria like CUBA. Folks have to travel |
Having sex without condoms is shear rascality and irresponsibility by both parties. Not ready 2 bring a baby into this stressful world nay Nigeria is also very catastrophic. What if your parents cut of the credit line? Do assume that everyfn is gonna be aight, it has changed and it can never be the same. As for folks taking about sin. Having sex without being married is also sinful. Any diff btw using contraceptives and abortion? U should just be concerned about its health implications. What if u are not later married 2 the girl? y |
Am I allowed to bid on this contract? |
The Babangidas Probably the most well-known of the silver spoons in the country, Aisha, Mohammed, Aminu are full-fledged celebrities. Mohammed’s and Aisha’s weddings, despite taking place years back, is still the talk of the town. Mohammed is better known for his excellent polo skills, and is believed to be a +4 handicap player. For Aminu, he runs Abuja-based Phoenix Oil with Sheriff, Bola Shagaya’s son http://odili.net/news/source/2007/oct/11/605.html# |
Behold Nigeria’s silver spoons in the North! http://odili.net/news/source/2007/oct/11/605.html Tunde Mark Tunde Mark is the first son of Senate President, David Mark. He was named after his father’s long-standing friend, Senator Tunde Ogbeha. He is in his 30s. Tee Mark, as he is fondly called, currently oversees his father’s business interests. Though very much on the reserved side, he is one of the most talked about silver spoon kids in Abuja. advertisement Abubakar And Mohammed Idris These are two of the eldest sons of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris. Abubakar, who is the older of the two, is based in Lokoja, the state capital. He is also into the same field of business his father was known for before he became governor, which is mining. Mohammed, on his part, is the managing director of Ibro Hotel, Abuja, one of his dad’s well-known investments. Under Mohammed, Ibro Hotel has become one of the places guests are sure of comfort and safety. Both brothers, however, share one thing in common – they are split images of their father. Aminu Atiku Abubakar When Aminu Atiku Abubakar, son of the immediate past Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, wedded Rakeeya in Yola and Abuja recently, it was a carnival-like event. Aminu is the younger version of his father, walks and talks like him. But time will tell if his pretty wife would have juniors, that is, children that would have striking resemblance of their dad. Always in the background, this doesn’t diminish his influence among his peers. Amniu is mostly based in the Federal Capital Territory, where he does his business and administers some of his dad’s companies. He is said to have passion for automobiles. Musa Mantu The ladies can’t get enough of him. The handsome son of Senator Ibrahim Mantu is undoubtedly the most well-known of the former number two man in the Senate. Musa is often mistaken for a Nollywood actor, courtesy of his dressing and carriage. He is hardly seen in northern attires, instead he prefers urbane outlook. Gagarin Madaki He is the only son of the late Col. Yohanna Madaki (rtd). Despite being born with the proverbial silver spoon, Gagarin has carved a niche for himself as a top businessman. He and his highly revered father had a close bond before his demise. The younger Madaki shuttles between Kaduna and Abuja, quietly going about his business. He is a guy with exquisite taste, though. Laolu Saraki He is the younger of the Saraki sons. Though still not officially into politics, Laolu, according to insiders, was part of the team that toured the country with President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua. This might have led to talks, though largely unconfirmed, that Laolu maybe taking a plunge into politics like his elder siblings, Senator Gbemi Saraki and Dr. Bukola Saraki, governor of Kwara State. Still single, his choice of a life partner has been that of endless speculation. However, whoever he picks as wife will surely be the envy of many women, as he is known for pampering his women. Sherrif Shagaya Sherrif Shagaya is the son of Hajia Bola Shagaya, believed to be one of the richest businesswomen in Nigeria. With investment in real estate, banking and photography, not a few observers expressed surprise when Sherrif alongside Aminu Babangida set up a petroleum marketing company. One of Shagaya’s sons (not Sherrif) was once said to have told a friend that to see a true five star hotel one would have to travel out of the country. This, in a nutshell, shows the level of sophistication of the Shagayas. They certainly are no local champions. Adegbe Ogbe This guy, who co-owns communications outfit, One Number, has been described as the most stylish in the capital city. A lawyer by training, his choice of suits fit his macho frame. The Madaki Alis Chief Garba Madaki-Ali, former minister of Works and Housing under the Obasanjo administration, has the following kids, namely: Sese, Lilly and Junior, who are a rallying point among northern silver spoon kids. Though from Kaduna State, they have an urbane outlook, having schooled in Ivy League, American universities. Lilly got wedded in a classy ceremony to another silver spoon like herself, Major Abayomi, whose dad owns GODAB, one of the leading construction firms in Abuja. The Madaki-Ali girls are trendy, well-spoken, and also known to be down-to-earth. Fatima Hassan (nee Kingibe) Fatima Hassan is the pretty daughter of the Secretary to the Federal Government, Ambassador Baba Gana Kingibe. Fatima got remarried to Hon. Shehu Hassan after being a single mother for sometime. A former staff of the Bureau for Public Enterprises, Fatima has taken time to raise her family. Murtala Yar’Adua The scion of the Yar’Adua family, Murtala is the son of the late Shehu Musa Yar’Adua. A member of the board of Bank PHB, the president’s nephew has business interest in different sectors of the economy. The Abachas The late head of state was blessed with a large family. The Abacha children are mostly grown ups. They have impeccable taste for jewellery, cars and designer wears. The most popular of the former head of state’s children include Mohammed, Zainab, Gumsu, Rekiya, and Mahmood. Though they sometimes visit Abuja, Kano is the base of the Abachas. There, they live with their mother, Mariam. Ahmed Maitama Sule Ahmed Maitama Sule is the debonair son of celebrated elder statesman, Ambassador Maitama Sule. He is a chip off the old block. Though not a diplomat like his father, Ahmed is well-read and an orator like his father. Taju Dantata Taju Dantata runs one of the many companies in the vast Dantata dynasty. He is said to be a shrewd businessman. Tabitha Kwajafa Kwajafa and Nuhu, her brother, are the children of former boss of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Fulani Kwajafa. Nuhu has busied himself for over a year now with feeding the less privileged in the society. Tabitha, on her part, runs Amen 2, a stylish boutique for the wealthy. The quality of items at Amen 2 is never in doubt. No wonder the store has remained on top for many years in the capital city. Mohammed Audu He is the son of former Kogi State Governor, Prince Abubakar Audu. Mohammed is the brain behind the luxury Mediterranean Hotel in Asokoro. He was once married. Most people who do not understand Mohammed say he works with a chip on his shoulders. However, close friends are quick to point out that he is a nice guy, who likes to take his time in making friends. Joshua Gana The eldest son of Professor Jerry Gana, Joey, as his friends fondly call him, is a graduate of the University of Abuja and one of the prominent northern silver spoon kids. The younger Gana’s company won one of the four licences given by the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) for power distribution. A staunch Christian like his dad, he is humble, with a charming personality. Anwal Tukur The one-time member of the House of Representatives, Anwal Turkur, is the son of the chairman of African Business Roundtable. The younger Tukur, like his highly accomplished father, is a businessman. Blessed with good looks, Anwal lost out in the power play in the aviation sector, where he was appointed director general of one of the parastatals and later dropped. He is still very much into politics. Time will tell if he would again run for elective office. George Shekarau George is the oldest son of the late deputy governor of Kaduna State, Stephen Shekarau. He is highly rated in Kaduna, as he is one of the guys who make Kaduna tick. For Aminu, he runs Abuja-based Phoenix Oil with Sheriff, Bola Shagaya’s son. Mabruka Mai Deribe She is the daughter of the stupendously rich Mai Deribe. A fashion designer for the upper class, her cute body has won her many admirers. She is still single and in a recent interview she said her ideal man must possess her late billionaire father’s qualities. Abacha Mai Deribe Another of the late Mai Deribe’s kids, Abacha is cerebral and has chosen to lecture at the University of Maiduguri after obtaining his PhD. His love for sharing, Daily Independent was told, lured him into the Ivory Tower. Jubril Indimi Jubril Indimi is the heir to his father’s fortune estimated at billions of naira. His younger sister is married to Mohammed Babangida. The Borno-born silver spoon is blessed with a handsome face many ladies would like to have for keeps. The Abdusalami Abubakars Though very much on the quiet side, former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar’s children are known for their brilliant and self-effacing nature. They have few friends and are not too much into partying. This, however, doesn’t mean they are not in the league of celebrated silver spoon kids. |
That is one way to look at it. The other view is that he may have done it to deflect attention away from his poor parental skills. Perhaps he was guilty? Perhaps he had a bigger motive? There a lot of views. All I am saying is that not a lot of parents are keen letting the authorities deal with their kids - Not in Nigeria anyway I do not think that bad parenting played any role. This spoit terrorist is 23 yrs, so he is free to do what he wishes and he chose destruction of lives. US Supreme Court Judge, Anthony Scalia is the strictest of all the judges and you could imagine his parenting skills, but his daughter , Ann S. Banaszewski was ticketed for drunk driving. Another factor that's being overlooked is the culture of impunity and religious intolerance in core Northern Nigeria? No prominent figure or sponsor of religious uprisings in the north has ever been fully prosecuted. He thrived in a region where it was OK to kill people of other faiths. He lived in a region where prominent people sponsored attacks against folks of other religion. He lived amongst folks who silently and latently rejoiced that people of other religions were massacred. He lived in a country when OBJ insulted a CAN president ( can my foot episode) for daring to ask him why he responded after Christians had been killed? He lived in a country where a governor of his state ( Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi) whose under watch that so many Christians were killed and got re-elected as a governor and still serving as a Senator in the Nigerian NASS. He lived in a region where perpetrators of religious violence were/are rewarded with better political, social and economic appointments. He lived in a country where it's customary to tender a Federal Government apology to Muslims after having gone a killing rampage against people of other faiths. He lived in a country where its normal to say “ we do not want to offend Muslim sensibilities” even when the crises might have been originated from Muslim adherents. He belonged to a region where religious conflicts always emanated from extremists like him. |
'Illegal' chief judge for Nigeria Nigeria's new chief justice is being sworn in in the absence of President Umaru Yar'Adua, who is in hospital in Saudi Arabia with a heart condition. A lawyer has told the BBC that the appointment of Aloysius Katsina-Alu is illegal, as only the president has the power to take his oath of office. Instead, the ceremony is being presided over by outgoing chief justice Idris Legbo Kutigi. There have been several calls for Mr Yar'Adua to resign over his ill-health. Lawyer Bamidele Aturu told the BBC that the constitution makes it clear that the chief justice can only be sworn in by the president. "This means the legality of the appointment is in question and people can go to court and challenge it," he said. Story from BBC NEWS:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8434600.stm |
most Naija parents would turn to miracle pastors and prayer houses. How many parents have reported their sons who are involved in campus cultism to authorities? |
Those who know him say although he was a religious person, who seem to delight in pursuit of Islamic knowledge, he never struck them as someone who could commit any harm to anyone. It seems to me that it is hard for some Muslims to differentiate between extreme religious views from acceptable religious practices. Maybe there is no middle ground. |
I thought I was the only one who noticed this. It seems Nigerians (or is it Nairalanders?) have no other word in their vocabularies other than "slowpoke". It's becoming really irritating Its called auto editor that f.u.c.king keeps changing our words |
