PoliticsRe: River Niger Project Puts Jonathan Into Trouble by adconline(m): 2:59am On Mar 02, 2010
he never liked the EAST but the first southern minister of defense(after the civil war) was of igbo extraction was appointed by Obj.

Obj isnt a tribalist and isnt against east or igbos - igbo people just dont listen

because OBJ said that Igbos should be happy they were allowed to become part of naija after the civil war. He cited that it took southern US 100 years to produce a president. He said recently that one of his regrets was not capturing Ojukwu . You argument could also be used in the same Abacha appointed, a Yoruba - Gen Diyas as his VP and imprisoned Abiola, OBJ, and exiled Soyinka.

Jonathan is not being a good politician for delving into this issue. He's on a slippery slope. Maybe next thing on his agenda is banning Sharia law in the north. He has to have a firm grip on the govt b4 he can embark on controversial decisions. It's like a Republican abolishing affirmative action the first day he gets into office or Obama legalizing govt funded abortion. He should avoid polarizing issues, or else he's going to waste all the political capital on useless things. Do not create an issue when there is none

Thanks. I read the whole story. His hurriedly put together foundation. How it took him so long to realize that he has amassed too much wealth than he can spend. [b]Or perhaps a way of telling us that he is not in politics for money.

Didnt he make $500 million as a politrickian? Or did he invest in  stocks?

Obama & Co should be explaining to the world why he strongly criticized Nigeria in Ghana and months later sent his Asst Secretary on Africa Affairs to meet with Nigeria's worst enemy-IBB. I'm disappointed in this singular act of Obama administration. He eventually licked his sputum
PoliticsRe: I Am Not A Nigerian,i Am An Ijaw Man - Asari Dokubo by adconline(m): 6:36pm On Feb 28, 2010
Can someone please ask Dokubo what kind of PASSPORT he carries? So Dan Rather, former 60 Minutes -CBS anchor would be called a Nigerian cos he obtained a Naija passport?
PoliticsRe: Show Some Compassion For Turai by adconline(m): 5:42pm On Feb 28, 2010
Are you reading my comments ?

That this woman is not in control of events but certain powerful 'something to lose ' and ' something to hide ' cabal who now see that their time us UP and are trying to hold Yaradua hostage and his poor wife Turai used as a TOOL to achieve their dubious agenda ?

Are you there ? Do you know what is going on behind the scenes ?

Please lets be constructive in our opinions.

Someone is in the pocket of Aso Rock, not me. How could you feel compassionate for Turai since all she cares for is how to secure the presidency for life. It's like a wife who only cares that her dying husband makes her the sole beneficiary of his will. It's like your mom being more concerned about your dad's wealth, position, and properties than his health. Someone whose house is on fire does not go chasing rat. If she cared about Nigeria, why did they belittle Jonathan by referring to him as the VP instead of Acting President.

Please in a country where everyone is unclothed, and you happen to be the only one wearing an Armani suit, you are the crazy one

He is just a gentleman that blv in the rules of law. He who must go to equity , should go with a clean hand. He's one of these cabals. He rigged elections with Yar'dua. He's part of the looting council. Please dont make this guy a saint just like the way some Nigerians praised Yar'dua as the messiah. "Illegality cannot beget legality"

mentally deranged psycho. I hope that  his son, Saif al-Islam al-Gaddafi who got his PhD from  London School of Economics  will lead  the jihad.  Or his other son,  Moutassim Gaddafi who's married to a model will also be a  jihadist. Shear hypocrites, they are dining and winning with  folks like  Prince Andrew and their dad-  a megalomaniac, is crying jihad. Let him start with his family.

By the way, how many churches are there in Tripoli nay-Libya?

I'm still worried about the scars on my legs that I sustained when I was little and sometimes they come back to hurt me and you could then imagine what could have happened to me if I had some facial marks. That will be like a  double strike from dangote trailer overloaded with cement.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Reasserts Position As Acting President by adconline(m): 8:32pm On Feb 26, 2010
Jonathan is a lame duck. He should go and ask Atiku how he handled OBj or how Etiaba handled Mr Peter Obi. Jonathan cannot be removed by Yar'dua. It's only the NASS that can remove him. David Mark and Co are on his side, if they are not, woo them over. He has to build new alliances. This man does not have balls. This is a fight to finish. Jonathan seems like someone who is praying for luck to happen.

FamilyRe: Nigerians And Teen Pregnancy by adconline(m): 10:52pm On Feb 20, 2010
Teenage pregnancy is not a Nigerian thing. It's still not encouraged even in the US. The fact that you have done well in life does not negate its impact on the life of teen moms.

I know you would not want any of your kids to go thru the same process in life. It still  raises controversy in life. Just imagine what it would have been like if Obama or Michelle had a child in their teenage years. Sara Palin had to endure a lot scrutinies because of her daughter. If it happens, it should not stop you from reaching your goals, but not having babies as a teenager  is a better and faster way to go. Statistic and facts are there to see. Children raised by two parents do better in life than those raised by single parents.

M E Niger Delta. If the FG had even considered giving each senatorial district in the Delta an oil bloc may be things would have been better
This is a hypothetical question cos it has never been done, so u cant say that things might not have been better if they werent really tried.
PoliticsRe: I Made $500m From Oil Block, But Didn’t Know How To Spend It — Danjuma by adconline(m): 7:54pm On Feb 18, 2010
He didn't know how to spend $500 million, makes you wonder how hard it was for him to spend  billions that went to his ministry when he was in power. This goes to show that Naija elite lack common sense of articulation on what is good for the country.
How hard was it for Abacha to spend $10bn? How hard was it for OBJ to spend tens of billions $? How hard for Yar'dua?
Naija,  a doomed country from conception
FamilyRe: Why Are Relatives Always Jealous Of One's Success? by adconline(m): 7:43pm On Feb 18, 2010
For example: my sister happened to travel to america and all of a sudden, my aunty is always telling her children to quickly graduate from university so that they can travel. don't you see that as jealousy? also my cousin is always like hmmm, your sister is enjoying in america, i will come and meet her there. As for me i feel those comments are not good. they are only envious about her. what do you guys think?
U need some growing up to do. Telling her kids to graduate and travel to America doesnt sound like to jealousy to me. I'm jealousy of Dangote's success, doest that mean that I want him dead?
Besides, not all bouncing babies are boucing in America, some dey crawl oh!
PoliticsRe: Ojukwu Used Starvation As A Deliberate Strategy During Civil War. by adconline(m): 7:37pm On Feb 18, 2010
Ask yourself when became a priority in Nigeria, then review your post.

I think that was a tongue in cheek or sarcastic comment

Thanks Asha for bailing me out.
My question is how could someone who wanted to go to war because of oil ask his senior (Ogundipe) to be his master? What's the correlation between asking Ogundipe to take over and taking his "region" to war because of oil?
PoliticsRe: Ojukwu Used Starvation As A Deliberate Strategy During Civil War. by adconline(m): 2:10pm On Feb 18, 2010
The truth be told, it was Ojukwu who granted Awolowo amnesty from the same FG that put him to jail which he later befriended. Awo might have perished in jail without Ojukwu's action.

Ojukwu went to war because of "oil'  Ken Saro Wiwa went to war because of oil. Mend is fighting because of oil, OPC is fighting because of oil, MASSOB is fighting because of oil. The problems of 1966 are still there in Naija, unsolved. Mind you that oil had not been discovered in large commercial quantities.  It was not a major source of income for the govt at that time. Imo River was the largest oil field in Nigeria as at that time. So how could you go to war because when the economic viability of oil discovery in Afam and Olobiri had not been fully established? You can read Soyink'a account on the war in his memoir "You Must Set Forth At Dawn" He was a neutral observer.

Maybe he wanted Brigadier Ogundipe to take over the mantle of leadership so that he (Ojukwu) would 'collude' with him  to take control of Niger Delta oil.

This is a litte  bit misleading , cos you cant say that an India woman owns Pepsi Co or an Indian woman owns Citibank. I'm a great admirer of Ogunlesi. I got to know him when he was listed with Strive Massiyiwa , founder of Econet Wireless as the only Africans on CNN/Time global business influentials. He also clerked for the Justice Thurgood Marshal of the U.S Supreme Court
PoliticsRe: Aondokaa Requested 50m To Fix Nigeria's Image Abroad Cos Of Mutallab by adconline(m): 12:37am On Feb 16, 2010
His unrestricted access to the national treasury was stopped the very day Jonathan assumed Ag Presido. It's akin to secondary school where you would rejoice because your teacher didnt show up for class. it would throw the whole class into  wild wilde west where everyone in equal and unchecked. The bullies would have a field day cos there would nobody to put  a leash on them. So Aondokaa bullied evry1 into submission untill Goodluck came to the rescue.
