even the British Prime Minister does not have a private Jet. His followers are blind that's why his church is owned by him and his family. So, where is the accountable? Another Benny Him |
@Mustay I think Convenant will be guilty if they contravened any NUC laws, but what section have they contravened? If someone can tell us, then Does Nigerian constitution guarantee free of expression and religion? Doesn't Nigerian Constitution state that Nigeria is a secular state. Does Nigerian constitution uphold UN and African Charters on Human Rights? If they were expelled on the basis of not having bible, Covenant has violated these laws. The point is that most Nigerians have low tolerance for illegality becuase we have never been exposed to legal norms in which a lawful society flourishes. "Illegality cannot beget legality" |
Desmond O Do you understand that no instution in Nigeria should make laws that are contrary to Nigerian laws? Do you understand Convenant was established by a federal act which authorized Nigerian University Commission (NUC) to grant licenses to Universities in accordance to the laws of Nigeria. Convenant cannot be bigger than NUC and NUC cannot be bigger that Nigerian laws. So Convenant is breaking the law. If there is a law that says that people should not be discriminated against, does that allow you to form your own company and openly espouse discrimination? |
4play, a convicted criminal in the US will be a bouncer in heaven for Nigerian politicians. Omisore who was alleged to have conspired in killing your Attorney General (Bola Ige) is making laws for you. Iyabo Obasanjo is also there, Chimaroke Nnamani is a lawmaker. |
bigrovar Its pathetic the way you present ed you case. Americans have standard for testing materials (check ASTM) the problems you listed came as a result of having a transperent and accountable system of operation. US has Underwrites Labs(UL) where most of these products are tested. These isolated cases do not reflect their overal perfomance and we are talking of Zinox, you still think that we should cut them a deal because it a "Nigerian made" IT does require international standard not Nigerian sympathy standard. Someone mentioned open source Ubuntu which is sponsored by a South African who developed Thawte and sold it Verisign for over $500 million. He was not held to AFrican standard, but ISO. Where is the system to show that Zinox uses low quality materials ? None, Any data to show that Zinox lithium batteries are safe? No, but buy it, spray it with holy water and pray over it. I no go quench. God na my standard and guardian. Naija of solving problems. |
so universities are allowed to have discriminatory policies even when they enjoy charitable organisation status in order no to pay taxes. What if the expelled students do not believe in bible? A university that was granted license under NUC guidelines could now become a beehive of religious zealots and fanatics. If muslims had done this, folks here would shout tribalism of jihadism. where is the condemnation? This university delivers power from act/edict of Nigeria establishing NUC, so it cannot act beyond its powers. This university was not granted license by Bible Institute of Nigeria, or Paradise Monger INC. It must follow NUC guidelines period. You are preparing folks for 21st century challenges and the greatest asset you feel that they should have is "bible" that's why other s are going to the moon and we are happy that "power failure" also exists in South. Africa- meaning - thank God we are not the only backward country. |
pregnancy na different matter oh! It can never be the same at thing as falling in love. Getting pregnant is stepping up to the play. You feel that you are fully responbile and capable, you can have kid, you feel that you are in love, you have sex to satify your fleshly desires. Kids are non-negotiable commitment to humanity, just like your parents raised you without seeking for anything in return. As for those saying no to adoption or abortion, didnt ten commandments say no fornication? |
shear and blind patriotism. You patronise made in Nigeria with your hard earned money and JIM OVIA of Zenith maybe using Mac in his office or home. Go and check what type of Computers Atiku installed in his university or the ones OBJ installed in his University and library. Grow wings in your thinking and you will soar like eagles. |
For narrow minded folks like me, investor do not invest by watching CNN, they look at their balance sheets, and credit ratings . No wise investor would invest in Zenith by watching CNN. Another gimmick from Banks who followed Orji Uzo Kalu' foot steps for advertising on CNN even when he was running for gubernatorial elections. Reminder 90% of Abians do not have cable TV. |
Non-entities in Nigeria who think they are more important, that's why its a big news that they were denied visa. Martha Stewart was denied entry visa to UK and Boy George was also denied entry Visa to the US, yet heavens did not fall, why do corrupt Nigerian politians think that visa is right not a priviledge? Cos life is better overseas and they feel that their looted wealth would get them anything in life. |
what are the closing stock values of First, Zenith, First Inland, UBA and PHB banks. A link on banking share prices. |
Tessynea Did I sound like a pastor.? I was being more realistic cos me and so much emotions are moving in opposite direction. |
@Memi True talk on the spot. Women think of hit and run when they might be expecting the guy to be the only one .Maybe he laid the pipe very well, paid the bills as at when due, could be easily manipulated, could be a good provider, could meet emotional and sexual expectations of a man. No woman would regret an encounter with a man who is opposite of these stated qualities. I seem to think that women should stop seeing themselves as victims whenever a relationship goes south. I cant imagine a girl feeling used and dumped, while she was an equal partaker. Maybe you both had fun, slept with each other, why does it constantly ring in some women's thinking that their exes got a better deal while in most cases its always the man who is a real loser. Sometimes I think some women have no clue on how difficult it is to get a girl's number let alone being friends with her. U have some money first, good clothes, nice car or house (if any) smelling good and stuff. These are the things men do to impress women. From a relationship point view, women hold upper hand as to whom to give a number or to accept a date. Some times, I go to a pub/club and see how 10 men would hustling to get a girl's number and finally the choice is left for the girl to make. The girl can decide to give a guy her number, that's not a guarantee that she will pick his call. My point is that men work a lot harder to get girls, yet when men leave on their own accord, it is called "hit and run" Here is a solution. see yourself as less of a victim whenever there is sex involved. If you make up your mind to fall for a guy, you should be mindful of the consequences. Be as proactive as life, move on whenever there is a failure. Stop thinking that sex is the ultimate gift you could give a guy. think of sex as a shared treasure meaning that men's sexual prowess is also unquantifiable.Sex should be seen as a mutual treasure that benefits partakers equally. so next time a guy thinks that he dumped you, say I dumped his too. "You gave me and I gave you" DMX |
another myopic rant from a clueless low life person who thinks that the world is defined what's happening around her. I wonder how many Naija men you have slept with. Becareful with your answers because you could join the list of heavy hitters- slot. |
did the moderator delete my last post? what happened here? I need answers? I thought Segun had been deposed like King of Nepal. |
chiogo so they are doing something unique not so many people could do with their 9th grade education. you need to re-read my post. I was talking about not being able to have a good educational background, yet they have "out-smarted" folks with better education. |
A Dating Guide for Women: "Man Talk" Translation By David Wygant Special to Yahoo! Personals Updated: Jun 17, 2008 When you first look at a man and a woman, you are able to notice the subtle differences between the sexes. It is when the two sexes communicate with each other, however, that the differences become truly glaring. This is because one is speaking "he talk" while the other is speaking "she talk." Where this difference really becomes a problem is when you are in a relationship, and you need to know how to combine "he talk" and "she talk" into "we talk." So I feel like it's my job as a man and as a dating coach to help women learn how to understand "he talk" (or "man talk" as I like to call it), so that they won't need to hire a translator to understand what men are saying. Women want men to express their feelings. They complain, "Why can't he just say he loves me?" or, "I wish he would just compliment me more." What you need to pay attention to and realize, though, is that men do tell you they love you and compliment you, they just do it using their own language. Men, in fact, sometimes don't use words at all when they are communicating with you. This will help you understand men's verbal and non-verbal language. Sometimes it's not what men say, but it's their actions that are significant. Sometimes it's not what men say, but it's their actions that are significant. It is necessary for women to learn to interpret men's roundabout way of communicating with them. Here are 10 things that men say and do, and what they really mean: 1. He starts talking about how crazy all his single friends lives are, and then he tells you that he doesn't miss it at all. What most women will think if they hear this, is that he misses those days. This is not true. He says this because he is looking for confirmation that you feel exactly the same way. He also wants to communicate that he's ready to take the relationship to the next level. 2. Since you recently took him to your family's house for dinner, he can't stop talking about how much fun he had with your brother. What he means here is that he really likes your family, and wouldn't mind being a part of your family. 3. He teases you about things like how clumsy you are or about how you put smiley faces in every one of your emails. What he's really telling you when he does this is that he really likes you a lot. Remember that men are just giant boys, we tease the ones we love and ignore the ones we don't. 4. A man tells you he needs his space. So what does this mean to you? It means that you need to ignore him and not call him. Men love the chase. By not calling him, he'll start calling you and wondering what happened. 5. A man says that he really wants you to meet his parents. What does this mean in man talk? He's telling you that you are his girlfriend, and that he is ready to take it to the next level by getting you involved with his family. This brings us right to the next bit of man talk. 6. When a man calls you and says, "I want you to meet my friends on Friday night," this is as big as meeting his parents. He's introducing you to his pack. It means that he thinks you are attractive and sexy, and he wants to show you off to his friends. 7. After sleeping over at his house several times, he tells you that the next time you sleep over you should bring some things to make you feel more comfortable and a change of clothing. In man talk, that is basically telling you that he's wondering what it would be like to live with you. He also wants your things around. 8. You have plans with him on a Sunday, and you find out that he passed up floor seats to his favorite basketball team to keep those plans with you. What does that tell you in man talk? It tells you that he's hooked, and that you are his girlfriend. 9. He is watching one of your favorite shows on a night you're not together, and he calls you afterwards to talk about it. In man talk, what does this mean? By doing this, he's telling you that he pays attention to you, and he's interested in learning more about you and sharing more things with you. Men generally do not choose to watch "Project Runway" on their own. If we're watching your TV shows, we really like you. 10. He tells you, "I've cleaned today." What this means in man talk is, "I spent the day doing something I dislike more than anything." You need to realize that when a man says this to you, he really likes you. To most men, cleaning the house is just about the worst way he can spend a day. Once you understand the hidden language and actions of man talk, you'll become far more secure in your dating and relationships. Once you understand the hidden language and actions of man talk, you'll become far more secure in your dating and relationships. So the next time you go over to your man's house and he looks at you and says, "I cleaned today," you'll know that he really meant to say, "I must really like you, because I can ignore my mess most of the time." it is called sexual alleviation programme (SAP) |
Jayz says "Scar Face Movies did more harm to him than Scar Face music" Its mainstream media. The media would pay hundreds of hours on Anna Nicole Smith, a stripper who became famous for flaunting her sexuality. If Mr and Mrs Smith (Brad Pritt and Angelina Jolie) could brandish guns on bill boards what difference does it make if Jayz talks about guns? Right wingers will attack hip hop and embrace gun makers. I was surprised to see the CEO of Play Boy Inc talking about big ideas on MSNBC while Hip Hop is always trashed by mainstream media. If we knew where these guys are coming to make it in life, we might have a different approach. I used to hate on Jayz or 5o cent whenever they talk about money, but on a closer look, i found out that making 1000 dollars is very difficult let alone millions, so they are doing something unique not so many people could do with their 9th grade education. The system is structured in a way to keep them from where they were born, but they broke the circle. I would also take Jayz over Hugh Hefner of PlayBoy Inc or the guy of Girls Gone Wild. |
How can I find an act of national assemble establishing CBN. Is CBN an independent entity or subject to FEC? Its time for Charles Soludo to go like Iweala. He will find a better job. Maybe he is hanging in there because of the fame and power. How goes with a lot excorts and govt securities. By the way, why does Yar'dua have to continously appoint recycled politicians from his northern base to these sensitive positions? CBN should be devoid of politics. Politicians cannot fix our monetary policies. There is a well respected economist/technocrat. Dr. Mansur Mukhtar who can take over from Soludo. I remember someone saying that Yar'dua is coming in with his northern oligarchs to devour everything that was saved and achieved economically in the 9 years. Politicians started this mess and economists and technorats fixed it, now back to square one. |

have some of the most educated people in the world and yet we can not handle issues many in places with lower levels of education seem to be handling ok. Does that not make you wonder what in the world the solution might be for us?? I wonder if you looked at literacy rate in Nigeria with some African countries. Skewed argument, since this topic is not about educated folks in Nigeria, but in the United States of America. These educated Nigerians are living the American dream and should not be held responsible of governing Nigeria. Yar'dua is the first president Nigeria has produced with a university degree. This tells you how educated we are. By the way also include Northerners in your equation and you will see that they have diluted some educational gains made by southerners. We have no proof of the news being valid. What we have are more documents making claims that Africans are more educated but not that Nigerians are most educated in that group so I am still hopeful that maybe education might still be on the list of possible solutions to the problem in that country Even with your IT and Boolean Logic experience, you still dont want toknow how veracity is applied. You are disputing logic without putting out a counter logic. How can you invalidate a claim like this? I saw also your reckless naivety of thought, that "more documents are making claims" and yet you have not provided any counter claim in audio-visual format since documents are used to make claims and are unproven. Maybe you should tell us what is the ratio of Nigeria to Africa in the US. This topic is also about Nigeria's education attainment written and researched by a newspaper columnist who is more credible than your anonymous posts and sentimental ideas. If I had an option on whom to believe due to credibility, it will be the former since you cannot even convince us with your warped ideas. If you were a lawyer I will not even take you for pro-bono Remember argue facts with no facts. |
Some myopic minded Nigerians coming here to spew their ignorance. The fact that you are using this website is because of Tim Berners-Lee who invented world wide web and he has joined the brain drain bandwagon to MIT- USA. He is an English man. Founder of Google Sergey Brin is another brain drain from Russia. Ebay founder, Pierre Omidyar is brain drain squared, his father was brain drained by France from Iran and Pierre Omidyar is brain drained by US not really. i mean everyone who uses Ebay. Even some of you live abroad and cry of brain drain. Why dont you all come home and stop the drain? At least Okonjo Iweala did. |
Kobojunkies, Like I told you before and notice I am repeating myself even now. When someone says Census Bureau and I go to the Census Bureau and do not find exactly what the person is saying to be the case or I do not find the exact source the article may be referencing. Why do you think it evil for me to come back and say, I did not find it please give me direct link to the source? I am not going to try this again with you cause you seem to want me to believe it just cause someone says it is there. You sent me to a peer reviewed site that is locked. I never saw the article to read for myself so I am sorry I can not say I know the journal actually made the claim. Please stop. My request is simple, provide source or move on. I really do not want to get into this meaningless and futile back and forths with you, that always seem to lead no where. By the way, a link for a journal was provided by the previous poster which was uploaded . You cannot say that it was inaccessible. It was a PDF file . You seem to suggest that these figures are not backed up by Census figures, but you have not given us a single study that seems to concur with your argument. Naija way of debating facts" I dont believe " or " that's not true" What's the frame of reference of your argument? None. Let me simply your argument Nigerians are the most educated immigrant group in US is an inductive argument that is probable. Your belief that it is not true is an absurd argument with no facts. Nigerians are the most educated immigrant group in US versus your point is rooted on no facts, no studies, no newspaper publication, but you want us to believe your sentiments without facts and sources. Then if your beliefs are weighted against some sources that seem to concur with this post, you really have no basis or this is a shear blind argument. You are not a standard, so we cannot believe on your assertions without facts. This is a case of facts and sources Vs sentiments like Indians are higher in population, most Asians are IT specialists than Nigerians as if to say that Asians have more population than Mexicans, yet Asians are more college educated. Or maybe Kano State should have more college students in Nigerians since it has the largest population instead of Delta State with smaller population but more college students. If Census figures are not reflective of you non-established views, why don’t you find a study that will dispute these studies in order to pluralize this argument (Facts Vs no Facts). Census figures as you said are raw data that might have been used to produce these studies, so you can equally conduct a study to produce a contrary study. We can debate methodology and objectives and conclusions when we have another contrary study which seems elusive to you. A judge cannot rule in your favour by saying " I dont believe" or "I did not do it" without any evidence. Show me something even its a newsletter. Expecting your usual response which will be full of sentiments and rhetoric - but remember “no facts”. |
Kobojunkies, back to your ways of debating facts without showing a contrary evidence. A poster had mentioned this some time ago, by citing a peer reviewed journal and you did not agree, now Houston Chronicle is saying the same thing you are still asking for source even though they listed Census Bureau. I know you might have wanted a different different result, but it is what it is. The fact that there are more Asians in IT does not give them a higher percentage of college educated folks. Its like saying that Northerners have a higher population and therefore should be more educated. (no offense intended to northerners) |
During apartheid, there was a slogan for killing whites " One Hitler, One bullet" as apartheid is over , here is their new slogan " One black African, one bullet" Even Mbeki who once lived in Nigeria, could let things go out of hand. In Africa , one politician is more powerful than one million people. Mbeki sees no evil in Zimbabwe and sees no evil on whats going on in his country. |
Xiomarra , You live in a foreign land where people fought bad leadership in order for their country to be better. Why dont you come to your country and confront bad leadership? Talk is very cheap. We are waiting for your contribution. Or when you become a Nigerian who is more hollier than Pope. Why not another Okonjo Iweala or Kase Lawal? Good luck. This is another reminder that people who live in glass houses are throwing stones. You live as an immigrant in another man's country and find it right to criminalize Nigerians who have done the same thing you did. Maybe they migrated to S Africa. I see your spirit, PHD = pull him down spirit. Only you deserve to live in a foreign land. Good luck |
Jakumo, Did u check SA crime statistic? Are you saying that some SA rogues killing Nigerians is Ok since Nigerians are killed daily Nigerians? SA has higher crime rate amongt South Africans and that should not be the reason why they should kill immigrants period. |
