Why can't the government fix these roads? Easterners complained about the spate of bad roads in their region, former Works Minister, Ogunlewe , who is prison bound said that South Eastern engineers working for Federal Ministry of Works and Housing should be blamed. Now who is to be blamed? http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/editorial_opinion/article01 |
I think it sucks to be a last born, cos your elder siblings will never believe that you are grown |
ahmedisah Nigeria will be greater than US. Amen! Consolation for hopelessness. Cant we find better things to talk than Bush and America. If Bush should be impeached, then Obasanjo should have faced firing squad long time ago. Make una leave matter. Let's talk about Naija. Naija and America are two parallels that can never meet |
matured enough to be a daddy, but you must learn to zip up your pants |
What would you do if your partner calls you with a blocked number and pretends to be another person? |
Modern economy does dwell on what's under your feet, but what's in your head. South Africa is rich in resources too. Johanesburg is the only city in Africa profiled on Economist City Guide. |
I did not mean African wallmarts, I meant real big retail outlets like Wall Mart and co. I see South African Wine, and products, Egyptian cotton and date, Rwandan fabrics and arts,Lesotho and Bostwana clothing materials. |
Hmm! This sounds so Dr Philish. So what is it about this lady that your wife does not have? After talking about sex, you will get to experiment with this new buddy, and you are going to feel the same way. Over excited when see you boobs, U feel them and get bored later. Its all the same. I think men are biologicall inferior when it comes to sex. Talking about sex makes no difference, because the bottom line is to sleep with this lady and you going to regret after 15 minute of ecstasy and loss of memory. Here is an economic equation for you? Talking sex + having sex == disaster, divorce, heartbreak, loss of job, legal fees, debts, family disunity, shame, custody battle etc with your wife , I believe that humans should not self destruct or engage in anything that does not add value. What does it profit a man if he talks about sex with a stranger and loses his livelyhood. Why don't you read EVE by James Hardley Chase |
Sometimes it seems that our borrowed type of democracy is not the best form of government. China and Vietnam are the two fastest growing economies in the whole world, yet there are socialists/communists. |
Why is it that you cannot see " made in Nigeria products" in Supermarkets and Malls overseas. I recently bought two shirts at a mall with Made in Bostwana Logo tag and Made in Lesotho tag? We don't have globally appealing finished products? Does it have to do with packaging or that our business leaders are bereft of ideas on globalisation. I think sometimes that our businesses are entangled with politics, look at Odimegwu NB PLC with 3rd term agenda, Ndi Okereke Onyiuke,Dangote,Adenuga ,Transcorp and rest of them. |
how many people for naija dey dash 30K or 40K etc. may be Utopian Nigeria. People who genuinely make their money dont give it out easily. By the man, Ted Turner gave billions to UN and no to talk of oracle of Omaha, Waren Buffet who gave out all his billions. |
What are his views on foreign policies. Last time he ran, he said that he would not have much to do with foreign governments. |
Chris Okotie most popular presidential candidate. Can he make it? http://www.vanguardngr.com/articles/2002/cover/november06/16112006/f316112006.html |
I read on thisday newspapers that former governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Moha-mmed Lawal, died in London. When can we fix our health care system so that these rulers will stop dying abroad? London has become a hot spot for vacation and dying for Nigerians. |
I originally posted this topic. The context is never who is a Nigerian descent or a " Nigerian" I think someone is not reading carefully. |
Poeple do not do humanizing jobs, because there is dignity of labour over there? Mind you that native borns are also doing these jobs, so who are we to say that they are humanizing when they can put food on the table and pay bills? What is so humanizing? Having a job or nothing having one at all? I would choose the former. I rest my case |
The difference between Naija and Abroad is what it took someone in miles or kilometres to make it. Please there is no basis for comparison. What are the criteria for comparison. Security, Opportunities, health, education, and entertainment. Here is a situation, I tell people that a poor man in Abroad is richer than Obasanjo. Stella Obasanjo died of complications from simple plastic surgery, even though it was in Spain, but this is what people do on daily basis. Because they will ask questions, talk to other doctors, compare their medical grades etc. Obasanjo cannot have a heart suggery/transplant in Nigeria, while this is a procedure a common man would have access to in Abroad. I know I have lost 3 people since 2005 because of Nigeria's ineptitude in aviation and electricity. Nigeria is better ,airlines are killing people every month and victims are flown to South Africa for treatment. We cannot even compare Nigeria with South Africa. It is this mentality that has kept us stagnated. I like Nigeria, don't get me wrong, but we really have to admit that things are going wrong before we can fix them. People do not have access to clean water. Poeple cannot even flush their toilets becuase of scarcity of water. University students who are not internet literate let alone computer literate. U live in Abuja, OK how many places are like Abuja or VGC in Naija ? We just forget about people who live in villages that have no electricity, pipe borne water, health care, education, and good sanitary environment. This thread is a non starter. Poeple forget that parents or guardians pay school fees for their wards becuase students cannot afford them. I wonder how many students that are working and going to university in Naija? |
@Donzman I want us to be progressive minded in our discussion. This guy has not been called to serve Nigeria and you are prejudicing his intentions. Who is a real Nigerian? The Presidents who devotes 100 percent of his energy fighting his enemies, or someone who uses his private jet to ferry money across Naija. You did not answer my question on Olisadede. You remember Friday Igali, A Nigerian born Canadian citizen who captained his team at Common Wealth Games. Today he is building a multi-million-naira school project in his community. Can we say that he is not a Nigerian? The constitution is very clear on citizenship, Agwunobi lived and schooled in Nigeria, how can he not know anything about Nigeria. Indians and Chinese will be happy that one of their own made it to the White House and we are here debating who is a Nigerian or not. If Okonjo Iweala had not been invited to serve, we would not have believed her Nigerianess. Your argument seems to suggest that Nigerians are allergic to high achievement. Mind you Arnold Schwarzenegger is not an American by your argument. Patriotism is an agreement between a state and its people, the state has not kept to its on bargain and the people have discarded the agreement. This is why there will be no patriotism. OK |
Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said those who hold positions of responsibility in government are corrupt, because those who voted them in are also corrupt. http://odili.net/news/source/2006/nov/13/206.html Do you believe this |
rawlings, Thanks, but she talks soo much about how she does not trust men, offcourse I am a man, but she is too comfortable asking for money, By the way, she just told me that she would want Gucci shoes (about $500) as Xmas present, yet still distrusts men. I think some guy(s) caused some scars in her life and she sees every guy who says hi as a consolation price. U dont take someone as your boo when you are learning about that person. Assumption does not work here, its gotta be within your comfort zone to say that this person is my girl/boy friend, we have not reached that level yet. I think she's looking for Xmas partner |
@rawlings We just went on date once to get to know each other, she is not my girl cos we are still taking time to learn each other. She tells me that she does not trust any man, then few days later, she asks for money. I cannot in my judgement call her my girl likewise her. |
Does it mean that Olisadebe is not a Nigerian? This mentality of saying anyone who does wear Nigeria on their face is not a Nigeria. We discriminate between indigenes and no indigenes, we discriminate state universities and federal universities, not to talk of polythecnics, that's why Sani Yerima could afford to say to Southerners inspite of giving us your money, you are not really a Zamfaran, you must pay for school fees. Its time to wake, all these hardline postures have kept us stagnated in the past 46years. |
I cant wait to see good male leaders |
