Sinead O'Connor has died at the age of 56 after years of mental health battles, her 'devastated' family confirmed.

The Irish singer shot to stardom across the world in 1990 by her heartrending cover of Prince's Nothing Compares 2 U.

It comes a year after the mother-of-four's son Shane, 17, took his life in January 2022 after escaping hospital while on suicide watch.

At the time of her death, the musician, who changed her name to Shuhada' Sadaqat in 2018 when she converted to Islam, was thought to be spending her time between Co Roscommon, Ireland, and London.

In her last Tweet, O'Connor posted a photo of Shane and said: 'Been living as undead night creature since. He was the love of my life, the lamp of my soul.

Congratulations that you not only escaped but went on to achieve your dreams and goals.

Hopefully, the missing girls still alive would get to experience same.

Would have to point out that the girl herself had already demonstrated courage and strong will to succeed by escaping a moving truck.

Joy Bishara, one of the kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls, who escaped after Boko Haram invaded Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State on April 14, 2014, recently got engaged in the United States of America.

Recall that a total of 276 female students aged from 16 to 18 were kidnapped by the terrorist group.

About 57 of the schoolgirls escaped by jumping from the trucks on which they were being transported.

Some others were rescued by the Nigerian Armed Forces but over 100 were still missing.

However, Bishara and her cousin, Lydia Pogu, who were among those who escaped the attack that caught global attention, relocated to United States.

She graduated from Southeastern University, where she obtained a degree in social work in 2021.

A simple investigation by Nigerian media would have made them realize they have been spreading fake news since morning. Akwa was actually abducted by security agents. A force man was kidnapped in his hotel in Oba ( golden egg and killed after collecting ransom of 36million naira. The man was killed and his car sold. Untill they tracked his car and started making arrest.they suspect a relative of his was involved in the kidnapping. That is why he was arrested
