sonnie10: The purpose of using mm in measurement is for precision. When you begin to have only zeros at the end of every measurement, it does not show precision and lacks attention to minute details. I would trust a workman that gives a measurement in mm for say 458 x 1189 than another that gave 460 x 1200 for the same window space. We know plastering will take care of that small difference but again, perfection is always good. This inattention to little detail is why a window flew off an aircraft midair recently. It is at finishing stage which window installation is part of that imperfections from masons/bricklayers are corrected. Irrespective of the minute difference in measurements of windows of similar sizes, such windows should be fabricated @same size to achieve uniformity. My humble opinion |

We will all see it in the monthly economic report that should be published by the CBN monthly for transparency, this is not some hidden access only information
You too should advocate for transparency because absence of it creates suspicion, and many of us were right about the previous government So with all the forex used to settle foreign investors like the airlines and co, you expect the foreign reserve to remain the same, joy is coming, and I pray it will meet us all well, let's all stay positive |

While I am not particularly sure about the information of the OP, it is really ridiculous of you and your ilks to keep making spurious narratives of defending the naira with the reserves. Meanwhile, you guys are the most ignorant of basic economic policies. Don't mind them, they will never mention that CBN settled backlogs of investors funds. The honest truth is that if you gain from naira devaluation, you will definitely use the funds to buy expensive things. At the end it's still a loss loss. He helped me open company in 2017 and I wrote a commendation here about him. I didn't want to believe when people started writing that he scammed them on his page. This is no misunderstanding, he scammed me properly. First asked for 30k deposit, then 20k. When I reached out to another agent on the matter because it was getting to 4 months, the agent informed I should have gotten an email from efcc with login. I asked him about it, he said nothing like that. He actually was sending me recorded fake calls with efcc personal
See, I wish I could send a voice note. When he discovered I reached out to efcc and they confirmed I was not even on registration queue, he started cursing the person. I still have all communications with him. So don't come and brief for a fraud and a proper conman if you're not working with or for him. He duped me properly and wasted 4 months of my time. 4 months of business account suspended because of scuml certificate.
ONAKOMAYA GBENGA IS A SCAMMER!
In addendum, when I asked him about the email, he kept asked what email. That no email was sent. Later he said he used my email to register. So how did he complete registration without me communicating email with him if it was sent to me. I am angry and disappointed. Not the 50k but my time, business and trust. Gbenga Onakomaya. Gbenga ONAKOMAYA. Life and the universe will seek this out of you You are right about getting an email from SCUML Dept of EFCC immediately your application is initiated on their system.

Men are naturally givers, the other gender on the other hand believe her money is her money while his money is our money. Know this and know peace. You can only act differently if you ask or complain about a bill you want to settle and she turn deaf ears. Another POV is that women believe we men will always find ways of sorting ourselves no matter what. So do small lamentation about a bill you want to settle and see her reaction. |

Typical NICE GUY behaviour. Doing nice stuff for people just to seem like a "good" person then getting hurt/angry when it's not reciprocated.
Generosity that comes with strings attached is NOT generosity. It's MANIPULATION.
The poor guy offered to buy you a drink even though he is not drinking but you INSISTED he give you the money.
Your indignation is unjustified. I hope the OP will ignore some comments on this page. I don't know what this country is turning to lately especially the kind of mindset our youths have. Earlier today someone posted about a lady who dragged an online vendor for being shortchanged. I went to Twitter and saw that people were actually blaming the complainant for patronizing the vendor because his/her product was cheap. But everybody cannot be m@d. Does that justify scamming? @OP That shouldn't stop you from doing good, just orientate yourself about people and how to manage them. Infact that doesn't mean you should unfriend him but rather be more careful with financial dealings with him and other friends who may portray similar trait. |

Good morning to this beautiful family, I want to add that some clients also have the habit of holding on to artisans balance even after successful execution of job which is quite unfair. The cheating is a two way thing. Nigeria will be a better place when we all learn to be truthful in all we do. Please before you part with your hard earned money, make arrangement for someone to monitor or supervise to make sure every work done is in line with the standard agreed on. |

This thing simple self, it's better if few people are interested in using the CNG. The moment everybody start using it the price will skyrocket. We could see what happened to LPG now since everybody is now using it to cook, from mass production of substandard cylinders to high price. So if few people embrace it the merrier. |

MeineMutter: Thank God you are buttressing my point. People don’t know the reason why TOWER is expensive in Nigeria. It is because of cost of manufacturing, locally.
It is cheaper to import and sell those thick ones than locally made ones. Just get an experienced fabricator. That’s all.
I read somewhere here that this practice should not be tried on wiring. The more better way to tackle that is to let the electricians give you their quotations and mention the exact type you must buy. After this, go out there to authorized dealer or even directly from factory and buy. Must an installer buy materials for me?
More so, our c.ut-throat artisans are waiting to bamboos you with their gimmicks on how to scrape your head.
Truly, fishes eat fishes. Nigeria is a damn jungle. While some of your statements are true as per artisans cheating client and vice versa. I will still maintaining my point of view based on experience that homeowners should let professionals handle purchase, installation and inspection of majority of the finishing part of a building. If you don't trust your artisans then involve your QS, Engineers to do the vetting. Tower aluminum is not expensive because it is finer than imported but because of the thickness which you can't decipher by merely looking at the windows except you're a fabricator. Same thing is applicable to welders, they have thick and light pipes and varying specifications of materials. If you can afford premium materials, pls go for it and make sure you got what you paid for. The electrical aspect is not my field but I know substandard wire can easily cause fire outbreak when loaded. I'm typing all this so that those paying for quality/premium won't feel they are being cheated or just wasting money cos you claimed there is no difference. May God provide for us all struggling to complete one project or the other. |

MeineMutter: Let him use it whether ofege or not. It is your project. Not his project.
You should expect they will condemn it.
None of the three main aluminum brands cannot be broken by hand. So why are you spending on Tower since you know thick imported can so the job. It is self conviction that: I USED TOWER or for bragging purpose that you are paying for. I'm not sure it's your field, premium is always premium and the quality will always be there. The only thing I will say is that good and strong fabrication is as important( more important self) as the quality of the materials. |

Abolarin91: Good day my people in this wonderful thread, somebody send this to my uncle and he asked me to help make more enquiry. I think this is too high Before your quotation can be scrutinized, kindly ask these questions. 1. Type of aluminum profile to be used 2. Type and thickness of glass 3. Thickness of the rod that will be used in the burglary. Please get these info's then come back here to ask for quotes with the same specs then you can decide. |

Properties › Re: My Landlord And His Dad Just Beat Up My Co-tenant by adeememman(m): 6:51pm On Sep 09, 2023 |
Mustiboy: Hi, everyone,
I'm in dire need of advice.
We had prepaid issues in the house where I'm a tenant. There are accumulated bills on the prepaid, which the landlord has failed to sort out for months. This caused some sort of altercation between he and another tenant over the phone(Mr X).
The landlord told him to move out and refunded his remaining rent.
Now the Landlord and his father came for a meeting with the rest of us today and accused Mr X, who has already moved out last week, of taking things from the house, things such as breaker box and some minor things.
It happened to be the time when Mr X himself came to pick up one of his properties left in the house – a cupboard.
He overhead everything and tried to clarify that he didn't. Just then, the landlord's father started insulting Mr X, who didn't even retaliate or say anything.
The landlord jumped on board and said Mr X must pay for everything. He ordered a guy that came with him to lock the gate of the compound, saying Mr X is not leaving.
Mr X has myopia and is always wearing glasses. The landlord seized Mr X's clothes and threatened to beat him up, even dragging him around and tearing his clothes in the process. He literally rough-handled him like a kid.
His father also charged forward and punched Mr X in the eye, kicking and wanting to beat him even more. Mr X fell on the floor in tears. All this while, I was recording. The landlord even took up a piece of wood at some point, threatening to deal with Mr X with it.
They seized his glasses, denying him proper eyesight and even tried to seize his phone as well.
Mr X was not allowed to go out until external intervention, which came as a plea from neighbors, further massaging the landlord's ego. The Landlord and his dad literally beat Mr X up and shamed him out of the compound and the area at large, hurling insults at him and also cursing his dead father.
I really feel bad for Mr X. I've sent videos of everything that transpired to him. He doesn't know what to do and feels the landlord used his power and position to beat him when he has done no wrong.
The landlord has also boasted that he'll use his power to ensure Mr X is sacked from his place of work.
I'm also bereft of ideas on what to do. How do we press charges going forward?
This matter must not be swept under the carpet.
The landlord is in his 50s, while his father looks 80. I'm not sure of Mr X's age, but he should he in his mid – late 30s
I don't know if this is the right section for this. Mods please move to frontpage

xin5: Please is that how it's been done? I bought a land early 2018 and now I feel like selling out. The families who sold it to me said they are entitled for their own percentage from the money the buyer is offering. Please I need to know if that's how it's done. I only went to inform them I would be handling the piece of land to a new owner and thought kola nut and palm wine would be it, since they also sold to several people there and also have some available I thought I should let them know for future reference... instead they are asking how much I am selling and wants to know every details of it.
Meanwhile the deeds that's about to be prepared would be in my name and that of the buyer, what consigns the family?
I had to tell them that's not possible it's my own land I bought from them I am selling, he went further and said it's either they buy it back from with same amount I bought 2018 or I give them their percentage from the appreciating amount or I develop and let matter rest.
Please help I've learnt over time that in this life, when you give some people so much respect they tend to feel like God over your life and some other areas. You need to show them some craze wether legally or illegally. Whichever is easily accessible to you. Because this matter don pass overlooking it except the buyer is someone who is close to you and won't compromise no matter what because their next line of action will be to frustrate selling the land. But once they know the gentleman no mean weak man, they will back out. |

I experienced something similar, in this case the POS machine belong to Accelerex or something, transaction declined I was debited but never got a reversal, the money was not also remitted to the guy's terminal. On getting to the bank I was told the transaction went through so I asked for statement of my account as evidence. I approached the POS operator and asked that he mailed the company that gave him POS which he did and they letter credited his wallet after few weeks so since that day I learnt another lesson not to use just any POS. I think in his case any transaction will first drop in his POS company account and since the transaction had hiccups, they didn't process it manually so he didn't see the money on his wallet hence his stance. Only POS given by commercial banks and few others have a means to track transactions and get it solved quickly. I will suggest you take my approach, get your statement and approach him to contact the company that gave him the POS. |
