Politics / Re: Smart City: LASG To Light Up Lagos With LED Street Lights by AdekunleScience: 9:58pm On Jan 16, 2021 |
tunapawizzy:Not quite. The real problem of Lagos is that bulk of the revenue generated in the city is being appropriated by FG. I'm talking about customs duties, company income tax, stamp duties, education tax, vat, revenue from sea ports, revenue from airport etc. For Lagos to achieve the level of infrastructural development that is common with other cities of similar status, every full blooded Yoruba must be willing to do whatever is necessary; fight, kill etc to ensure that Nigeria returns to regional system or is broken up. |

AwesomeStormy00:1. @ first bolded: If a group of people told and continue to tell lies about you ancestors/political leaders; lies such as Yorubas cross-carpeted after Zik won election, Ojukwu released Awolowo from prison but Awolowo betrayed him. Yorubas always support Fulani, Yoruba betrayed southern unity as if there was anything of such to start with and so on. I guess they are showing love to Yorubas in in your own estimation. And no I woundn't teach my descendants to hate people because of their ethnicity but I'd teach them to be ardent students of history, so that they are immune to attacks from historical propagandist and revisionists. And to guide their Yoruba heritage, land and political economy jealously, even if it means total annihilation of any group of aliens who seek to destroy or take over same. 2. @ 2nd bolded: You know what? I support that we take out Tinubu but only on the condition that all strong political figure in all the regions are taken out as well. The likes of Jonathan, Peter Obi, Edwin Clark, Uzo Kalu, Ekweremadu, James Ibori, Atiku etc. 3. @ 3rd bolded: This is purely in your imagination. |
Politics / Re: I Have No Intention To Ridicule Anyone – Senator Adefuye by AdekunleScience: 10:54pm On Dec 27, 2020 |
RevDesm0ndJuju:1. All taxes excluding personal income tax are taken to Abuja, where they are later shared to states using criteria like; landmass, population, number of LG and other ridiculous stuff. 2. Oil was discovered in 1956. 3. Apapa port - 1913, Lagos Intl Airport now MMA - 1947, UI -1948. All from taxes paid by Yoruba people under British colonialism. 4. Indudtrial estates: Ikeja, Apapa, Oluyole, Ikorodu, etc all built by Awolowo from 1951, when Western region obtain self-rule from the British. 5. Large pool of taxable human resources, majorly cultivated by Awolowo during regional government, from taxes generated in Yoruba. 6. The aforementioned are the reasons why Yorubaland was the richest during colonislism, during regional government, and is still the richest at the present. The north used to be the second richest. Your region only displaced north as second richest due to oil but Yorubaland is in a different league. 7. Lastly, reprentatives of your region has repeatedly joined those of other regions to deny Yoruba of our desire to keep a portion of our taxes before it get sent to FG. So, it is only pragmatic that our representatives also join others to prevent you from realizing your desire. Please provide evidence for the highlighted section. That is, evidence for such sharing formula before the fraudulent 1999 constitution, authored by the Igbo man Ben Nwabueze, as a willing tool of the Fulani. In conclusion, Yorubaland is the greatest net contributor to Nigeria. |

RevDesm0ndJuju:Why should Yoruba support whatever you are to get 25%, when you fail to support Yoruba to keep bulk of the taxes from our space. Mind you, there is a difference between foreign exchange and government revenue. Your region generates bulk of the fomer while Yoruba region generates bulk of the latter. Yorubaland does not depend on oil, we depend on taxes. |

AwesomeStormy00:Your earlier description of Yorubas which I highlighted indicates that you are either a Yoruba hater or a self-hating Yoruba, which is worse. Regardless of the actions of any politician, a PURE proud Yoruba would not have described his/her own people in such manner. More so, based on ignorance and a mindset that is involuntarily acquired due to very potent enemy propaganda. Look around the world and point out a more Liberal people than the Yorubas. If you found such, please do yourself a favour and transfer your ethnic allegiance to that group. |

JoeEeL:Those men are politicians. That is their game. If you have discovered a better way to; in your own words "unshackle ourselves from this develish arrangement", outside of politics please keep it up. Please note that it will be self-defeating to completely ignore politcs while we fight to free ourselves from this arrangement because the very cause of our current predicament is due to the fact that a PURE Yoruba with Yoruba interest, has never held political power in this country. 9 Likes |

AwesomeStormy00:1. You are a non-Yoruba (from a Yoruba- hating ethnic group) masquerading as Yoruba, or 2. You are a half-Yoruba (with a parent from one of the Yoruba-hating ethnic groups), or 3. You are one of the honest but gullible Yorubas who is deeply affected by the psychological warfare of Igbos, started by Azikiwe which is still raging in the present, aimed at inciting self-hate in Yorubas. They incite you to hate your heritage, any of your leaders whom they could not buy. Why, they are afflicted with an obssessive desire to take over that which belongs to you; Your land, the resources therein. 1 Like |

Jetrue3oo:This is plain ignorance and or propaganda. There is a difference between government revenue and foreign exchange. The former is derived majorly from Yorubaland as taxes of various kinds; customs duties, import duties, company tax, education tax, entertainment tax, ICT tax etc. The Niger Delta provides the bulk of the latter via crude oil export. Again, Yorubaland comes second in generating foreign exchange via export of cash crops; cocoa, kola nut, etc. The rational conclusion thus is that revenue/wealth from values created in Yorubaland funds the FG. And exploration of a natural resource from the ND provides foreign exchange for the FG. 2 Likes |

AregbeFufu:From taxes paid by Yorubas to colonial and regional regional governments. Examples: 1. Apapa port was established in 1913 2. Lagos International Airport, which was later reanamed to MMA was established in 1947 3. The industrial estates of APAPA, Ikeja, Ilupeju, Ogba etc. All built during regional government. |
Politics / Re: Why Can't Onitsha Be Like Hong Kong? by AdekunleScience: 4:11pm On Dec 11, 2020 |
Very simple answer: Lack of human capital. Most of the inhabitants are petty traders. Skilled men and women; scientists, welders, carpenters, engineers, technologists (like Paystack duo of Shola Akinlade and Ezra Olubi) are the most important ingredients necessary for development. But in that part of the world, they believe that petty traders are the real developers. 3 Likes |

Raydos:Simple answer: Bulk of the revenues generated in Tokyo, NY, London etc stays in those cities. In the case of Lagos revenues generated from her critical infrastructure are taken to Abuja, where it is later shared to all states in the country, according to landmass, population and other ridiculous criteria. 4 Likes |

AlexBells:Scots don't MASS MIGRATE to England so as to engage in "healthy competition" instead they negotiated a regional system which puts the control of their space in their very hand. If you want healthy competition as you've claimed then support regionalism like the Scots, develop your human resources and make your space great. Instead you keep Supporting unitary system, a system that accommodates your parasitism while majority of your folks pretend to loathe the system. That is the fundamental basis of your deception. 6 Likes 1 Share |

I'm only disgusted by the fact that Igbos are being deceptive about their very strong desire for "One Nigeria". Igbos can annex territories up to Benin if they wish. 6 Likes |

Support Regionalism or demand for a sovereign HOMOGENEOUS Igbo nation. The focus which we've lost is that while envious and covetous outsiders altered the political system, usually with force, so that their poor regions and people could share in the revenue from our homeland, majority of us never cared. 5 Likes |
Politics / Re: Why Did Igbos Not Resist Ironsi's Decree 34 ? by AdekunleScience: 11:41am On Nov 25, 2020 |
AlexBells:These are the reasons: 1) The Fulani who inherited the skewed system which the Ibos created share the same desire as the Ibos (the subjugation of other ethnicities). 2) The Yoruba elites who are the major factor that can reverse the system back to what was agreed upon, are at the moment not up to the task because the Fulani has the backing of the English. 3) The Yoruba masses who should be a source of support to their elites so as to put an end to this cursed system, are currently under psychological attack from massive Ibo propaganda. The Ibos PRETEND to want out of Nigeria by their incessant cry of marginalization and fraud Biafra agitation. This psychological war strategy has made it difficult for the Yoruba masses to realise that Nigeria currently favours only the Igbos (economically) and Fulani (Politically). 12 Likes 1 Share |

People who specialize in 2x2 bussiness where they employ only their clan members. People who employ propaganda to discredit the efforts of the indegenous people who create innovative bussinesses, which attract the INVESTMENT that is needed to drive REAL development, and create employment opportunity for anyone who is qualified, irrespective of ethnicity or race. 2 Likes |

I am only telling you that If Igbo ever repeat what the likes of Prof. Nwabuaze did during the Abiola saga, we 'Conservative Yorubas' will ensure that you guys pay dearly for it. If you are in doubt and are convinced that Yorubas are cowards pray hard to your god that Yoruba vs Hausa-Fulani relation deteriorates into a chaotic situation, then if you guys are man enough give even subtle support to the North. 1 Like |
