KANONIZATION of University of Ibadan
By Gen Ojepe Hizqeel
Last Saturday, Gov Ganduje was honoured at the University of Ibadan by its Alumni Association.
Fundraising of N250,000,000 for the building of a Lecture theatre to be named after His excellency was launched. And all the Donors were from Kano. They came with the Governor.
This is how it went:
The first Donor: The man said he couldn't speak much English because he only attended primary six,but he's been business man all his life; shuttling Kano to Mile12 and all that. This was shown in his speech truly. At the end, he spoke less and donated big. He donated N60m.
The second donor was only a bit different from the man. He donated N40m.
The Subsequent donors donated N10m, N2m and so on.
When His excellency took up microphone to speak, he said: when he was told about the fundraising, he contacted Alh. Dangote, the African rishest man. Dangote asked how much was the money, the Gov. told him; Dangote felt embarrassed: "your Excellency, you're calling me because of this chicken change? Abeg, call my boys.
Ganduje said, He also placed call to Rabiu, the second richest African. Rabiu also felt insulted. "Your excellency, why can't you call my boys for this small money?.
"I said let me reserve these men for bigger event.", Ganduje concluded.
Meanwhile, those who donated N60m,N40, N10m and the rest are Dangote/Rabiu boys, many of them rarely speak English, talk more of Speaking Big Grammar phonetically.
No one cares about your English fluency. Èdè Lásán ni.
Everyone at the event was agog and ectastic. The target was met and even exceeded.
However, Two things I learned from the event: One, "Action speaks louder than words (English)"
Two, the entire donors are Northerners. The last time Asiwaju donated N50m in Katsina, all hell was let loose. The Southern Wailers weren't allowing us to rest... But I haven't seen any Northerner condemning their leaders' southern donations.

Politics › Osinbajo Denies Owning Ikoyi Collapsed Building, To Sue Sahara Reporters by adem30(op): 12:14pm On Nov 05, 2021 |
Vice President, Osinbajo, denies owning Ikoyi land, institutes legal action against Sahara reporters Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has expressed his sadness over the events that occurred in Lagos on Monday, 1st of November 2021, where a high-rise building under construction on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, collapsed.
He condoles with the families and relatives of all those who have died, were injured or affected in the collapse.
Prof. Osinbajo says he considers this painful loss of lives a horrible tragedy.
He adds that his attention has been drawn to an obviously sponsored falsehood regarding the recently collapsed building published by Sahara Reporters on November 4th, 2021, to the effect that:
1. The VP owns the land upon which the collapsed building in Ikoyi stood.
2. That the said land was sold to him by Chief Michael Ade-Ojo, Chairman of Elizade Motors; and
3. That the Vice President, at some point, intervened with the regulatory authorities in Lagos State to unseal the said property.
The Vice President made it absolutely clear that he does not own and has never owned the said land.
He has also never been involved, in any shape or form, in the development of this or any other land since he became Vice President.
At no time whatsoever did the VP buy this or any other piece of land from Chief Michael Ade-Ojo, or entered into any transaction for the sale of that land or any other piece of land from Chief Ade-Ojo or anyone for that matter.
All property and assets owned by the Vice President have been publicly declared.
Also, the Vice President has never spoken to the Governor of Lagos State or any other official of the State Government regarding the unsealing of the said building on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, which subsequently collapsed.
He has, indeed, never acted to influence any other regulatory action on the collapsed building, or any other building for that matter, in Lagos State.
The Vice President restates categorically that he has no interest whatsoever, and has never had any interest, either legally or beneficially, in the land, the building or development.
The wickedness and viciousness of a lie that seeks to utilise a tragedy where so many people have lost their lives, even as rescue efforts are ongoing, and in wanton disregard to the feelings and untold grief of their loved ones for political gain, reveals a dangerous desperation, as well as the heartlessness of the perpetrators of such despicable lies.
Sahara Reporters were undoubtedly well rewarded for their criminal and inhumane conduct.
Typical of a hatchet job and deliberately irresponsible journalism, the publication was not signed by anyone.
The Vice President has referred this disgraceful publication to his lawyers for prompt legal action. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=248313960663083&id=100064534426548

desag: Cant i use other software apart from easy worship ? Cos i dont seem to know how to use it.
I am more comfortable with freeworship but i am having difficulty in connecting it to more than one TVs using HDMI splitter. The whole screen was showing on the TV Screen when i use HDMI splitter but when i connect directly to on TV , only live screen shows on the TV as expected.
Kindly help me out. Thanks in anticipation You can use videopsalm instead of easyworship. Though I prefer easyworship but videopsalm has some advantage over easy worship most especially using video camera. And for your connections, I will advice you use VGA cables because of durability. VGA cables are more rugged than HDMI. When you connect your laptop to the splitter, make sure your displace is "extended" In case your TVs do not have VGA port, get a HDMI to VGA converter |

Foreign Affairs › U.K Government To Regulate Facebook, Google Next Year by adem30(op): 9:21pm On Nov 28, 2020 |
The U.K. government said it plans to create a Digital Markets Unit (DMU) to enforce "a new code to govern the behavior of platforms that currently dominate the market, such as Google and Facebook." The unit will be part of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), which has been asking for more powers to rein in big digital advertising platforms. The regulator is concerned how tech giants like Google and Facebook use digital advertising to fuel their business models. GP: Mark Zuckerberg Facebook Hearing Libra Mark Zuckerberg, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Facebook, arrives to testify during the House Financial Services hearing on An Examination of Facebook and Its Impact on the Financial Services and Housing Sectors on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019. Bill Clark | CQ-Roll Call, Inc. | Getty Images LONDON — The U.K. on Friday said a new government unit will work to tackle ongoing concerns about a concentration of power among a small number of tech giants.
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport said it plans to create a Digital Markets Unit (DMU) to enforce "a new code to govern the behavior of platforms that currently dominate the market, such as Google and Facebook."
The code is designed to ensure that consumers, small businesses, and news publishers aren't disadvantaged by actions taken by tech giants, the government said.
Under the new code, some of the world's biggest tech companies may have to be more transparent about the services they provide and how they use consumers' data. They may also be forced to give consumers a choice over whether to receive personalized advertising, and they won't be able to place restrictions on customers that make it difficult for them to use rival platforms.
The DMU, which will be part of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), will start work in April 2021.
The government said the DMU may be given the unit the power to suspend, block and reverse decisions made by large tech companies. The DMU could also order them to take certain actions to achieve compliance with the code, and impose financial penalties for non-compliance, the government said.
Digital Secretary Oliver Dowden said in a statement: "I'm unashamedly pro-tech and the services of digital platforms are positively transforming the economy — bringing huge benefits to businesses, consumers and society."
"But there is growing consensus in the UK and abroad that the concentration of power among a small number of tech companies is curtailing growth of the sector, reducing innovation and having negative impacts on the people and businesses that rely on them. It's time to address that and unleash a new age of tech growth," Dowden said.
Digital strategy In July, the CMA called on the government to give it more powers and set up the DMU, saying it was necessary to rein in big digital advertising platforms. The regulator said it was concerned about how tech giants like Google and Facebook use digital advertising to fuel their business models.
Though the CMA's recommendations had a domestic focus, the watchdog said the problems it had identified were "international in nature" and that it would look to "take a leading role globally" as part of its digital strategy.
"Through our examination of this market, we have discovered how major online platforms like Google and Facebook operate and how they use digital advertising to fuel their business models," Andrea Coscelli, chief executive of the CMA, said on July 1. "What we have found is concerning – if the market power of these firms goes unchecked, people and businesses will lose out."
Ronan Harris, Google's vice president for the U.K. and Ireland, said in a statement at the time: "Advertisers today choose from a wide range of platforms that compete with each to deliver the most effective and innovative ad formats and products."
He added: "We support regulation that benefits people, businesses and society and we'll continue to work constructively with regulatory authorities and Government on these important areas so that everyone can make the most of the web."
Facebook has previously said it would engage with U.K. government bodies "on rules that protect consumers and help small businesses rebuild as the British economy recovers" from the coronavirus pandemic.
"We face significant competition from the likes of Google, Apple, Snap, Twitter and Amazon, as well as new entrants like TikTok, which keeps us on our toes," a spokesperson for the company said in a statement on July 1. "Giving people meaningful controls over how their data is collected and used is important, which is why we have introduced industry leading tools for people to control how their data is used to inform the ads they see."
