Ofemannnu:
Is it the Igbos that started learning how to wear clothes in 1921 that you are calling brilliant?

Igbos did not build empire.

Igbos were taken as slaves by a small tribe called Ijaw.

Igbos were colonised by a small tribe called Igala who still hold sway in Anambra till date.Gov Obiano is Igala.

Is it because of a few intelligent ones, who might even be Igala or the Yorubas that have been assimilated in Imo state, making it academically?
They are not even half of the intelligent Yorubas who are the only people in Nigeria with 3 Nobel
Laureates(1 is equivalent of Nobel Laureate).

The only people worthy of being called most intelligent are:

1.Yorubas...Their achievements, empire building prowess, educationally on top etc
2 Ashanti
3.Benin
etc
Igbos might be in the 20th position.
How did Igbo's learn to wear clothes in 1921 when Azikiwe had a degree by 1930?

After all so many people still believe that Nigeria Will someday become great despite the numerous challenges tearing us apart
He has other abilities and he obviously has moved on. Why should he believe he would walk again? It doesn't make him useless.

Nigeria is like a poultry farm where the owner comes to pick eggs from his layers every morning, for his family to eat thesame day.

He is not feeding the layers well to produce more eggs, meanwhile he is not buying new layers to leverage increased productivity.

He is just eating away all their eggs till the layers get tired of laying and die of hunger.

This is what Nigeria is doing to its resources.

Tell me, if Nigeria had no crude oil, won't Nigerians still be alive ? And to construct anything new, they must borrow either $2bn or $5bn.

SINGAPORE has no crude oil o.
Very brilliant analogy.

They debited him three times

He paid up his loan, yet it didn't reflect on his dashboard... called the customer care multiple times, they were not of help.... They kept on saying that they will resolve the issue.
Then a day later when the loan was due, he started receiving SMS from opay to pay up to avoid this and that...
Early in the morning of the following day, he woke up to 2 debit alerts from his account, fear gripped him as he thought it was the hand work of thieves....he called his bank and they verified that it was from opay and they advised him to block his card
That's too bad. But it appears they have improved. I once owed them but they never touched my bank account. The only problems are their short payment period and crazy interests.
One should stay away from all loan apps though. They are there to exploit Nigerians.

Am so happy to see them though I was worried because they didn't eat anything from 9:00am to 10:03 pm yesterday when the driver called to inform me of their arrival but it was too late for me so I had to wait till this morning (6:11am) to go pick them and to my greatest surprise, all were safe and sound.

Oh yes, kindly remind us how northerners have put Nigeria on the map in terms their numbers are populating international prisons, including death rows for crimes such as drug and human trafficking, prostitution, gangsterism, robbery, internet crime and other frauds - to the extent that even low economic countries such as Togo, Cote D'ivoire, Ghana where every Nigerian is seen as a potential criminal; not to mention South Africa, Europe & America where they are being chased and hunted like animals for one reason or another - causing the Nigerian passport to be one of the least respected in the diaspora.

On the home front, they are not left behind in bringing more shame not only for the reasons but for even worse, such as Cannibalism, ritualism, baby factories, witch hunting, Osu cast system etc.

Talking about learning lessons, who should be saying that now considering how Boko Haram, bandits and fulani herdsmen are killing, maiming and destroying everything in sight all over the North? Is Gowon's Plateau State not experiencing what Biafrans passed through in 1967-70? What about Danjuma's Taraba state? Borno, Yobe, Sokoto, Zamfara etc how far??

Una never see anything, karma is real.
So why didn't the Biafran soldiers protect the children and women? Did Ojukwu use the innocent children as pawns? The politics behind that war is putrid.

In the midst of this particular crisis, I asked her what next and said NOTHING. She said he can NEVER divorce her(Same thing she affirmed in her thread). If the marriage had to end it would be on her terms. At that point I realized whatever it is she had on him must be really horrible and strong. I tried to probe and she refused to tell. She only said she'd sacrificed more for him than he had done for her.

At this point I had to question her about the paternity of the child. She had previously told me sex was almost non-existent in their marriage. My thinking at the time was that he had pressured her to get pregnant by someone else in order to protect his name. Surprisingly, she told me she could guarantee 100% that the child belonged to him. Unfortunately, it had to take her ill-advised thread for me to unravel that particular issue. The child came via IVF.

Something important to note. She had told me he would return her phone he seized. Just like she said, he waybilled that phone 3 days after. So it was obvious she held all the aces in that marriage and still does till today.
You should know what she has over him nah. grin

The guy already showed her his weakness and fear. If he divorces her, there would be questions and that's the man's fear. If he accuses her of infidelity to nosy family members, she would expose him. It's his nightmare. I don't see that man staying alive for long. The child might even be a bastard. Don't believe her too much. And try to forget her. She is not worth it. She is insecure and is using men to feel alive, inside she feels dead. Take it.

Romance / Re: Between Men & Women Who Really Has More Options? by Aderr: 8:39pm On Jan 19, 2021
pansophist:
In the long run, men have more options. In the short run, women have more options. Also, men have a wider range of age selection, while women have a slimmer range of age selection. Men can date women far younger, or far older, but women can not date men far younger, especially as she grows older. Women's options are mostly limited to men within their age range.

For example, men at the age of 30 can marry women from the age of 20 to 50 years old, but a 30 years old woman will hardly find a man younger than her to marry, and the men in her age want a woman younger. Conversely, women have a shorter window to effortlessly attract men, but not so for men. A man can basically attract women from 18 years old to his 60's if he keeps fit and has money.

Furthermore, it seems like women have more options, but there is a difference between quality and quantity. A woman may have thousands of men chasing her, but less than ten have sense, money, or whatever she wants. So those options are not necessarily the desired, but available.
The bolded is very correct! Even those options the young ladies seem to have are mostly rubbish empty riffraffs. grin Shebi we dey see them for area.

You have not described how the north is actually holding you in the south back; except to say that it had been holding political power since 1960; which is big lie because you completely ignored the historical and very import year of 1966 in which your region spoilt this country for which you are hypocritically blaming the north.

When it comes making Nigeria a mockery, those stats of poverty index, child mortality, disease etc pale to nothing when compared to the wanton disgrace your ppl cause to this country when you travel abroad - stories abound the media on how you are chased, hunted and sometimes killed like rats all over the diaspora due to your criminality and toxic nature.
That is nothing compared to how your people have put Nigeria on the map in terms of terrorism alone. grin Internally displaced people, out of school children, etc. At least there are many southerners making Nigeria proud all over the world while your own people are busy spilling blood and spreading poverty and illiteracy.

Kindly explain how the north is stopping you and your governors from progressing and developing your region and its ppl.

Pls be logical and factual in your explanation, without resorting to insults, sentiments or baseless innuendos - I am waiting!
The South is progressing more than the north. But we would be doing better if we didn't share the same country with you people.

The north has held political power since 1960 and has succeeded in holding back the rest. It has influence on politics in other regions. Apart from that, your marauding terrorists affect agriculture and life adversely in other places.

You also have a way in manipulating the wrong people into power because you allow children to vote. It swells your votes.

Your poor stats, poverty index, child mortality, disease , etc drag down the data of Nigeria and makes Nigeria a mockery. It's endless. The north needs to change!
