The problem is we don't KNOW we are the origin of Technology itself.

COLONIALISTS DESTROYED OUR KNOWLEDGE OF WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE ACHIEVED.

If you know you are the ORIGINATOR of technological processes, you will never feel a stranger to technology, calling on outsiders.

Mining of minerals is a Nubian innovation dating back over 5,000 years. In Sudan. Which is also home to 250+ pyramids, built with advanced mathematics and algebra, and aligned with star movements.

The technology of iron smelting - extracting metal from ore using specific heating principles and materials - is the foundation of Modern Technology. Guess where it was invented?

Lejja, Nsukka, South East Nigeria.

The world's oldest smelting site was discovered there and carbon-dated to 2650 BCE.

THAT was the world's Industrial Revolution, not this white propaganda of today that claims industry began with steam engines in UK. All that did was accelerate industry, not start it.

At a site called Igbo-Olokun in Ife, an ancient Glass Factory was discovered dating back over 1,000 years. Western archaeologists were shocked at the evidence of different types and colours and grades of glass being produced AT SCALE, in a thriving economic environment.

DO OUR PEOPLE KNOW THIS?

NOPE.

If you ask them about glass, they will tell you it's Oyinbo people that invented it.

Until we revive our history in its full glory to our people, they will always think like that.

Great submission there.
Beyond taking our natural resources, they stopped sequential process of development; they forced us to farm and mine our resources and took them outside to process. So, we were not able to develop machines, roads, industries as demanded by farming and mining. They keep discovering and developing as resources demanded but they stopped us from thinking because they took everything away. When they released us, the world already developed, we began to operate from development we did not have(take raw materials, export and take finish products later). They stopped from thinking and a nation that can not think can not grow. We need new approach by returning to what we have and start building; we need to build human capital that can build our roads, industries and all. Government must ensure every project is a platform to train our people and not just give them to foreigners. Human capital development is the key ( deconstruct Africa from believing if it not foreign it’s not good, we have got to believe in ourselves and our own)

Is there a single great thing that can be done by black people without involving a white man?
We lost everything during colonization, and we lost again post colonization when we focus on foreign instead of building locally.
It will take a lot for Africa to be restored

Dave Umahi is a square peg on a square hole.

Fashola just wasted 8 years as Minister of Works. He couldn't fix the Suleja-Minna Rd. Abuja-Kaduna road was a disgrace to Fashola. Auchi-Ekpoma-Benin Road was an eyesore for 8 years under Fashola. Same with Okene-Lokoja Rd and Asaba - Benin Rd
The issue is not the minister, but the ability of the president to open financial source. Buhari can hardly fund critical projects due to subsidies. The government does not have credit score to borrow money for major projects
PoliticsRe: Aso Rock Solar Project: Is The Nigerian Government Betraying Nigerians? by adexpa(m): 2:34pm On Feb 12
We have got to stop being emotional every time. FG moving off the grid is to free space for people and businesses that will consume the power FG consumed before. FG is not removing the power it use to consume, it only left to create spaces for others. I am sure every other government facilities will go the same route to ease pressures from grid in order to redistribute power to others. Many presidential villas have alternative power source. It’s not betrayal, it’s part of promise.

It’s sad that Nigeria elites does not have any good intentions to help the country. They maintain status quo whenever they are in power, but criticize the system when they are out of power. It’s completely emotional game on the citizens which purely evil. They understand the emotional weakness of the citizens and they keep exploiting it. It’s sad. True leader must be consistent in power and out of power

Foreign AffairsRe: New Rebel Group, TPLF Threatens Ethiopia’s Fragile Peace by adexpa(m): 9:28am On Dec 23, 2025
For years, Africans have not spoken enough to address the injustice system run by their leaders and that entertained injustice has grown to unacceptable degree that the current people can not entertain any longer. It’s unwise to entertain lopsidedness of any kind in leadership or governance; everybody must be carried along. The wave of coups, criminality, Banditry and every other atrocities plaguing Africa is a result of the negligence tolerated for years, and until there is sincerity to address them, the atrocities will persist. Anyone in leadership must be sincere and clear on how everyone must be carried along; the youths must be carried along, the marginalized groups must be carried along. The day the oppressed is aware of oppressors plans is the beginning of war……it will be hard to fool people forever.
African leaders needs to wake up to reality, it’s no longer fun as usual…..Social media fuels many awareness; information that leaders normally used against people are all on the social media now….no more secret

Our problems rose from those tiny tiny neglected irresponsible actions. How can you allow Sharia law when there is Nigeria constitution. You have to be holistic when dealing with issues

Obasanjo called it "political sharia."
It got rooted.
Obasanjo frowned at adoption of unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal justice system then, but shied away from stopping Sani Yerima and co who introduced sharia criminal laws in the 12 far north Nigeria states.
Where do you stand? Obasanjo allowed it anyways; the president of Nigeria is superior than any group. The problem of second term gave northerners many advantage of suggesting anything they want in the name of numbers
PoliticsRe: Seven Takeaways From US Joint Hearing On Christian Persecution In Nigeria by adexpa(m): 4:36pm On Dec 03, 2025
Every problems started with small unharmed step; I don’t know why Obasanjo government allowed the creation of Sharia Law in a country that is claimed to be democratic. Two laws in one country. I don’t know how this can be erased because it’s part of our problems. We gave northern too much chances to introduce anything they want. There must be only one Law. Obasanjo is going about talking like he is not part of the problems. Nigeria Insecurity problem is deep now because we neglected small irresponsible behaviors over the years which become uncontrollable. The economy problems and many other problems were created by past governments who neglected so many serious issues of National concerns

A man who truly understands human spirit beyond human nature or psychology will always win oppositions and enemies. Tinubu embraced one of the biggest lessons in the school of wisdom which is “there are no enemies in the school of wisdom” everybody is a teacher teaching us from different resolutions and degrees. Tinubu was the one who took up case against FG when Ladoja from another party was impeached. Tinubu knows when to play games(politics ) and when to return to humanity .

We all need to learn the game of life; be brutal when needed and be humane when necessary

35 years is not a small age. Many people in that age who have career part mapped out early are already leading organizations. I understand Africa factors that does not allow young people follow growth path, but anybody in a saner clime with vision must have acquire the needed knowledge at 35 and just keep building up and expanding.

PoliticsRe: Over 80m Nigerian Youths Unemployed – Report by adexpa(m): 10:39am On Sep 05, 2025
Every problems have history. The unemployment reality is predictable and it has nothing to do with the current government or the last one. Every issue that’s not nippled as they arise will surely become perennial. When Nigeria was with less population, the government of then were only wasting money without projecting the direction of growth and strategically plan for it. Any household that does not plan for their unborn children will suffer when the children later arrive. No government can solve the unemployment issue in 8 years, it has to be done by projection; by intentional plans and investment over years. Any presidential candidate that promise to eradicate unemployment in Nigeria is a liar
PoliticsRe: CBN Report Lists Fuel Prices, Insecurity, Others As Inflation Drivers In Nigeria by adexpa(m): 3:13pm On Sep 02, 2025
What’s commendable is that no section of the government is holding the other from saying the truth. Everything CBN is saying are all true and must all be seriously handled. It’s important to know that majority of all these points have been in the picture for decades; every successful government have been dealing with insecurity year on year. The subsidies that contribute to the points are also another conduit pipe for corruption. For me, No serious government who does not know all of these, and the focus for them is always tackling these points. Government took subsidies, but will later reintroduce them in another areas that will affect individuals better because no nations survive without subsidies; either subsidize health, or transportation. But government have to stabilize economy first to clearly see where to channel resources

PoliticsRe: Peter Obi To Tinubu: You are President of a troubled nation, not a tourist by adexpa(m): 11:58am On Aug 14, 2025
Talk is cheap, and the easiest job in the world is criticism and complaints.

What’s going on in the world right now is obvious to everyone; in the period where America is slamming tariffs on almost every notable countries, and you expect a serious leader to sit down and not look for new friends or reconnect old friends.
Tariffs are enemies of any economy. The president needs more friends, and he needs to leave his comfort zone to meet and cement friendships before they can take him serious.

Remember, Nigeria doesn’t not have ambassadors, which is a means of saving money, but much more the presence of the president speaks louder than.

I agree, but most Nigerians don't think this way, and it's hard. You see, that emotionally driven thing you mention is a huge problem. God help us! It's now that I understand why most state Governors don't do much; they know their people don't want what they need.
Exactly. Most Nigerian leaders are just massaging the want of their people, they focus on earning their love and praise. Some Nigeria leaders wants to remain in office forever by installing someone they want after their tenure; that’s why they must please the people by supplying their wants and not need.

Quote……a true leader plant trees they may not sit under

One of the best comment I have seen on nairaland
But for me I prefare the American capitalist system, no subsidies, no socialist approach
Reduction of taxes for companies that produce their goods in the country

And government should only focus on infrastructures that help businesses to prosper
Yes, that’s what we need, but we’re still more in foundation because the previous government decided to give our money to few elites in the name of subsidies and then abandon infrastructures that’s suppose to drive a prosperous society. It’s not that America have the best leaders now, but because their father did the early work to position the country for upward projections . When the foundation is right, all you need is just a manager with patriotic spirit .

What we need now is a bold, sound, courageous and patriotic leaders who will focus on building the foundation in spite of what the citizens may keep saying( citizens do not know what they need, they only know what they want)
PoliticsRe: President Tinubu Approves ₦1.5 Trillion Light Rail Project For Kano by adexpa(m): 10:01am On Aug 09, 2025
Goke7:
Best comment here but unfortunately most Nigerians don’t understand how infrastructure actually connect to their personal livelihoods. They always think they must be given handouts directly to their mouths or pockets.

And I think it’s like that all over the world humans are naturally selfish always thinking things must be given to them directly rather that collective good for all. Maybe it’s time govt in Nigeria try the European approach of socialism give the citizens all they want in terms of welfare but tax them heavily to collect back whatever you gave them perhaps Nigerians may prefer that 😂
Yes, humans are self plus Nigerias are emotionally driven. They closed their eyes to any good deed that’s not coming from their loved ones.

The best way to drive Nigerians is not to care about their cries and keep doing what they need and not want. The hallmark of a great leader is to focus on the need and not want of people.
Singaporeans were not jubilating or happy when Lee kua yuan took the deep transformation that brought Singapore to where they are today, but he took the step anyways in spite of hardship and tough moments( he would have chose to beg Malaya or start begging other countries for alliance, but he focus on reviving their inner potential which doesn’t come easy but they are better for it now). If a ladder does not have what he really wants to do before office, he will keep listening to people and he will never do what is right. Buhari said he wanted to remove subsidies but every time he seek for advice around it the response is always ….don’t do it.

Nigeria needs tough and patriotic leaders
PoliticsRe: President Tinubu Approves ₦1.5 Trillion Light Rail Project For Kano by adexpa(m): 8:21am On Aug 09, 2025
Infrastructure is the heart of a nation, Nigeria is years backward in the are of infrastructural development. past administrations were not able to do much because they keep the subsidies regime that’s solely benefitted by few elites. The purpose of ending subsidies is to channel all the waste to infrastructural development that will later bring a turnaround to national development. The gains from subsidies are not to directly feed you, but to build a system that will later feed you
HealthRe: World Bank Plans $250 Million Health Loan For Nigeria Next Month by adexpa(m): 8:00am On Aug 05, 2025
Majority of people are reacting to loans from cultural and religious view( borrower is a slave to lender). No developed countries came about without loans; even US openly beg citizens to help offset their loans. No capital infrastructure is built without loans. We can not keep asking for a great nation without foresight and intentions. If it’s about government behavior in the past that’s always about corruption, we need to know that some leaders are smart to curb corruption, and it’s not by arrest or noise, but by reforms and tightening cash flows. We need to do away with the mentality of loan is bad, and give government the chance to do their work. Every leaders will be accountable for their deeds after office.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu’s Harsh Economic Policies Have Wiped Out The Middle Class — Falana by adexpa(m): 7:51am On Aug 05, 2025
Truly, the policies have changed so many things. The policies are suppose to be in layers which every precious government should implement, but many of the leaders neglected them because of their reputation. Nigeria over the years kept on asking for good roads, good hospitals and other great infrastructure many developed countries enjoys with the same system that can not allow development. You can not keep running Nigeria the way it’s been run and expect development because development requires fun and right position to access loans. It will be tough and more is coming if they continue the reforms, but it’s the right path; it’s the only path to redirect and realign the country. Majority of people in many developed countries are living through credit schemes, the do not have cash flowing. When Nigeria is repositioned to have more capitals which can help loans and mortgages; when people can have access to one digit loan and the rest, then we can enjoy massive infrastructures. We can not compare ourselves with developed countries if we are not ready to go through the tough route of realignment and redirecting the vehicle.

I pity Tinubu in the tone of president Buhari

PoliticsRe: We’re bringing Peter Obi back to PDP – Jerry Gana by adexpa(m): 9:27am On Jul 26, 2025
I love the permutation; Atiku has left Pdp and that will open door for Obi’s candidacy. Atiku will get ADC ticket and Obi will get PDP ticket. The beauty of this permutation is to strengthen democracy and make the election fun and competitive, though Atiku and Obi can not win the race in separation but they will give democracy live. Pdp will retain their presence by bringing Obi and they may come second, and Atiku will come third.

Politics can be interesting. Let us keep fingers cross

Same way they have scammed them of the over 15 trillion naira Lagos-calabar coastal highway project but many haven't even realised yet.

Money that would have been invested in agriculture—given the vast expanse of land in the North—and in military barracks built close to large farm settlements. By now, Nigerians wouldn't be crying for food, as high food prices would have crashed automatically.

Misplaced priority engineered by brutal looters in power. Coastal highway to fraud.
Know that the 15trillion is not a down payment, they are still sourcing for majority of the money from financial institutions.

Many of us have vague ideas that are not implementable, but it’s our civil rights to share opinions and ideas.
