1. Seychelles
Seychelles prioritises education; it is mandatory to go to school. In other words, the country has achieved “education for all,” as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) stipulated.

2. Tunisia
The government of Tunisia emphasises and prioritises education, which is why its educational system ranks 71st in the world with 61.4 points. The country has invested over 20 percent of its national budget in education. Since the 1990s, Tunisia has been able to enact policies that foster economic growth, which has helped the education sector attain excellence.

3. Mauritius
Mauritius is rated as one of the most educated countries in Africa, coming third with 61 points and 74th globally. Schooling is very compulsory up till the age of sixteen. Vocational training is a prominent hallmark of the country’s educational programmes. The population of literate people increases every year.

4. South Africa
South Africa is one of the African countries with the highest literacy rates. It is the 84th in the global education system with 58.4 points and fourth in Africa. The South African Schools Act of 1996 made education compulsory from 6 to 15 years old.

5. Algeria
French and Arabic are the languages of education. Other languages taught in schools are English, Italian, Spanish and German. The Berber language was made the national language; it is studied from primary to secondary school level. The literacy point of Algeria is 57.4, 5th in Africa. Education is free and compulsory from the age of 6 to 15 years.


6. Botswana
Botswana is 6th in Africa with 56.7 points and rated 92nd in the global education system. Private schools are allowed to create their own curriculum and staffing policies. Education is compulsory from five to eighteen years.

7. Kenya
Kenya is rated 95th in the world as one of the best in literacy, with 55.4 points. The Kenyan government invests almost twenty percent of its budget in education. The World Economic Forum rated Kenya’s educational system as the strongest. The government created different programmes to support the education sector and also established the National Assessment Centre (NAC) to monitor learning feat.

8. Cape Verde
Cape Verde ranks 98th globally and 8th in Africa with 53.3 points. The country has been able to achieve universal access to basic education. The system is designed or organised into a six-to-six formal education structure. That is, children enroll in primary school at the age of six and are expected to attend for the next six years. Secondary school is five years, grade seven to twelve. Higher education is available for interested people.

9. Egypt
The educational system in Egypt is highly prioritised by the government. This has enabled it to rank among the best in the world, placing the country in the 99th position and 9th in Africa with 52.8 points. Education is free at all levels and also compulsory for nine academic years.

10. Namibia
Namibia has one of the highest literacy rates in Africa. Education is compulsory until eighteen years. Parents are expected to pay for uniforms and books, but constitutionally, the government is to provide free primary education. Globally, Namibia ranks 100th and 10th in Africa with 52.7 points.

Majority of Nigerians are like this Rep member. The ones who are not acting like this yet are waiting for power to start their drama. It's pathetic in Nigeria that almost everybody is an oppressor. All of them will remove subsidy, and devalue currency. Open reiterated currency devaluation again recently. None of them can capture the magnitude of the effects of the two policies ,but they feel it's necessary. Do not mind what other candidates are saying after they saw the effects, spectator can play better than Ronaldo and Messi. Nigeria had gone through maintenance for too long instead of overhaul. Nigeria needs to free resources from different subsidies that benefits the business class alone. We need infrastructures, education, health care facilities that will benefit everybody. Until income is retained, it is impossible to clearly see needs and then channel resources to them.
I don't trust all of them, but we need to relax and give anyone there benefit of doubt. Enough of fake identity of them the social media portrayed, we need to give them chance to experience them and judge ourselves, but 17 months is not enough to judge.

Emilokan is a mere use of word, anyone can play with word. Media is crazy, we don't have to accept their definitions all the time.

Civil servants are the real problems, but no one point fingers at them. Some of them became lord mayor in their respective agencies, and never want a change in system because they benefit in a corrupt system.

What you do not understand is that we do not have to consume the oil we produce, there are some many countries that needed the oil for different purposes. We can produce and sell in foreign currency. Besides, there are so many other machines that uses fuel aside the ones for transportation. No matter how we want to shy away from the reality of electric/gas vehicles, it is here to saty, Nigeria has a nation just have to prepare herself for it by utilising the revenue from oil to diversify into more other sectors.

The major reason why people criticise the idea is that governors will use the police for their self gain,but my question is that should we because of such reason which is not even substantial allow miscreants to continue killing people. We are really not ready to shift and deal with the real problems by confronting any governors who is ready to misuse the police for self gain while watching their people killed by bandits. All nigerian got the civil right to constructively express their views and opinions about the policies of the people at the helm of the affairs. Governance must be inclusive and everyone is allowed to let their voice constructively.

I pray we do see the impact, when public holders place their immediate family members in key government positions and award contracts to friends and family. The America you mentioned are not a Saint but the leaders are accountable. Look at what we have in Africa especially West Africa. We are divided by religion, ethnicity and politics. Capital expenditure is one of the way government create jobs.
The construction will create jobs and help businesses.
You shouldn't expect government to focus food or one aspect alone and abandon other sectors.
Or you expect government to keep giving palliatives/handouts

For me, I do not think the form of democracy we adopted is the problem, but the people. Africans need new minds, new ways of seeing life. Africans do not understand wealth creation process, and they think money can only be made through stealing.
The bottom line of all the problems is money, and until the subject is properly addressed, we will remain a fantastically corrupt place.
We need to build young minds who understands that through hard work, integrity, dedication and commitment to a course, success can be achieved. We need to build minds that can create wealth from any field without stealing.
When people can build wealth without stealing mindset, they can go into politics loaded with several businesses bringing money for them and not rely on common wealth.
The continent that embrace democracy are human like us, but they chose to work unanimously for a single objective (national development) and not personal development.
