Flipmac:Stop the ethnic card, there's nothing like western here, it's about allowing whoever become the leader to do his work and stop looking for messiah who will change things overnight. You guys want someone who will retain status quo just to please you as all previous government does. To you, the policies doesn't change the life of people because you're looking for immediate reward. Has there been any government you people never complained about. If you expect different result, you can not keep same strategy. I will support either Obi or Atiku if they happen to be on the sit, it's not about West or east or north you're crying about, it's about allowing the driver to drive. Some people can not manage their home but they have all opinions about how the country should be govern. No policies will be reverse if that is all you expect |
lexy2014:Thank you for been polite with your questions because I know how some people can be, but I wouldn't be able to answer them. I wish you the best in your endeavors.....no government can help us except we find means to help ourselves. No matter how good the government, some people will lament and some will experience breakthrough. |
Flipmac:The problem is that majority of you are emotional who doesn't like different opinion aside yours. I am defending him using my phone and not yours. I think you should respect my opinion. None of the candidates will turn out different because they all will remove subsidy and devalue currency (Obi reiterated same recently). None of them know the outcome until it's done. Spectator can easily said I would have done it the other way because he can now see the outcome. Good luck to you |
lexy2014:All of them will remove subsidy, and devalue currency. Open reiterated currency devaluation again recently. None of them can capture the magnitude of the effects of the two policies ,but they feel it's necessary. Do not mind what other candidates are saying after they saw the effects, spectator can play better than Ronaldo and Messi. Nigeria had gone through maintenance for too long instead of overhaul. Nigeria needs to free resources from different subsidies that benefits the business class alone. We need infrastructures, education, health care facilities that will benefit everybody. Until income is retained, it is impossible to clearly see needs and then channel resources to them. I don't trust all of them, but we need to relax and give anyone there benefit of doubt. Enough of fake identity of them the social media portrayed, we need to give them chance to experience them and judge ourselves, but 17 months is not enough to judge. Emilokan is a mere use of word, anyone can play with word. Media is crazy, we don't have to accept their definitions all the time. |
Dharmiejoe:He said it severally in his manifesto that he will remove subsidy, and introduce student loan( we can both confirm by playing his campaign videos). You guys tend to deny the truth just to give dog bad name. None of the candidates is better, they will all try their best. Stop portraying someone as messiah; its socks. |
Civil servants are the real problems, but no one point fingers at them. Some of them became lord mayor in their respective agencies, and never want a change in system because they benefit in a corrupt system. Nigerians are seriously hypothetical in nature. We shield our brothers, sisters, fathers ,mothers, and relatives who are holding Nigeria down ,and keep pointing fingers at top political officers. Without the support of civil servants, it's hard for political officials to easily syphon our common wealth. |
Samogloby:It doesn't work that way brother. I am sure you know that every country is embracing electric/ gas already because of cleaner environment, but that will not face out fuel used car immediately/completely. Besides, fuel is used for some other machines/equipment |
tnerro1:What you do not understand is that we do not have to consume the oil we produce, there are some many countries that needed the oil for different purposes. We can produce and sell in foreign currency. Besides, there are so many other machines that uses fuel aside the ones for transportation. No matter how we want to shy away from the reality of electric/gas vehicles, it is here to saty, Nigeria has a nation just have to prepare herself for it by utilising the revenue from oil to diversify into more other sectors. |
The major reason why people criticise the idea is that governors will use the police for their self gain, but my question is that should we because of such reason which is not even substantial allow miscreants to continue killing people. We are really not ready to shift and deal with the real problems by confronting any governors who is ready to misuse the police for self gain while watching their people killed by bandits. Insecurity is alarming and we need to deal with it. We can not keep blaming federal government, we need solutions |
May God help new generation. No one become anything of a great repute without the collaboration of someone else. Greatness is never built in isolation. Secondly, people with vision, dream and goal knows that they need people to actualize the dream, and they do all to render help to others according to their capacity. The only time to praise people is anytime you have the opportunity. He doesn't have to wait until he is dead. |
Chinkoalhaji34:Until lion learn to write, every story will glorify the hunter |
All nigerian got the civil right to constructively express their views and opinions about the policies of the people at the helm of the affairs. Governance must be inclusive and everyone is allowed to let their voice constructively. I love the way Atiku constructively give his views and opinions about the state of the nation, and I will not expect Tinubu team to reply him through attack but use the opportunity to address all the points he raised; they should tell the nation how they are doing all Atiku mentioned. Communication is the bottom line of hope. |
This thread shows that majority of people here are here to react without having understanding of topics. It's a pity how youths have degenerated by not using their head |
Newboy1102:Brother, I understand we are all clamoring for a better Nigeria, but the cry and complain will not change anything, and no one will change our situation including Obi Except we involve and play our part, nothing will move. Let us stop looking for good drivers, let us join and drive our portion. Nigeria belong to all of us. |
Whenever I see this kind of post from the people who got opportunity to have huge followers, I fear the future of the country because influencers got huge Influence on upcoming youths. The mind of most influencers are shallow. Most of the countries you guys look up to did many horrible things in their early years ( watch the men who build America documentary). Developing means transforming, and in this stage many things will happen. You will see the impacts of the decision years later. |
Umueme:Capital expenditure is one of the way government create jobs. The construction will create jobs and help businesses. You shouldn't expect government to focus food or one aspect alone and abandon other sectors. Or you expect government to keep giving palliatives/handouts |
For me, I do not think the form of democracy we adopted is the problem, but the people. Africans need new minds, new ways of seeing life. Africans do not understand wealth creation process, and they think money can only be made through stealing. The bottom line of all the problems is money, and until the subject is properly addressed, we will remain a fantastically corrupt place. We need to build young minds who understands that through hard work, integrity, dedication and commitment to a course, success can be achieved. We need to build minds that can create wealth from any field without stealing. When people can build wealth without stealing mindset, they can go into politics loaded with several businesses bringing money for them and not rely on common wealth. The continent that embrace democracy are human like us, but they chose to work unanimously for a single objective (national development) and not personal development. Until mind is free, the whole body remain in prison |
The most easiest job in this world is the job of a spectator. He only sit, and watch thing as they unfold and then give the perfect advice on how the person who did it should have done it. Consumption to Production (Demand and supply) is the basic economic mathematics that even the woman in the market understand talkless of the educated people in power. Nigeria Consumption/Production habit has been a major problem for years and you can not expect that to be turned around overnight. Government can not focus only on one thing; while they find ways on Consumption/Production, they need to work on saboteurs who take advantage of the system. We all need to understand that all develop countries got there through different reforms and policies; several trials before they could find the suitable one. Policies are peculiar to culture and environment too; the policies that work in a sincere environment will be tough to find place in a country like Nigeria where almost everybody is a thieve. |
Political, ethnical and religious sentiments are the biggest threat to will power. Many leaders got many things to execute but they bow to society outcry due to sentiments. It take a leader who have got the ball to ignore public outcry on every decisions. We need to be more national incline than regional, ethnic, and religion. |
greatness22:Utill you reorientate yourself and accept reality that your idol lost the election and embrace the winner as your president, you will keep neglecting facts because you are blinded with what you never wanted to hear. The corruption became obvious these days because EFCC has been unravelling and unveiling them. Most of these cases had happened years back but no one talk about it. Embrace the reality and begin to pave ways for your breakthrough rather than looking for messiah in human beings like you. |
To every good idea, there's always a bad side. Social media was originally designed to be a blessing, but human magnanimity has explored it to discover the other side of it that the original designer never intend. It is both blessing and curse depending on the user. |
Teenaira:Yes, that's my thoughts. They will be probe and allow to pay some portion of the stolen money if find guilty. There's no need jailing. There should be a diplomatic way to fight corruption in a system entrenched with corruption like Nigeria. Our system and ways of life ( culture) embrace corruption. |
Amotolongbo:A degree is part of education but it is not enough to become who you need to become in life, there's more to life and degree can be part of the foundation. Education does not have end, you keep learning and keep growing in area of interest on a daily basis, and that may include classesand off classes |
Hypocrisy of the highest order. You highlighted the solution yourself (standing up to help with the chores), but you are lazy enough not to start doing what you know is the solution to the problem you mentioned. The truth is that you're enjoying him doing it while you sleep around and keep lying that you are feeding the child. You obviously want him do more, you want him finish house chores and add cuddling and romance. You do not need advice because you know the solution already. |
The president has done what he dimmed right for his image, there is no need for too much uproach because nobody can do anything if he chose to ignore the boy and allow him into the meeting. I guess the boy was trying to deep himself into real politics and leadership through firsthand experience, but his father said he is not allowing such approach. Lets stop the act of holier, majority of us will do more if we have the same opportunity. I can imagine what people will say if he decided to bring his son into government by giving him appointment because this is not new, Trump and many leaders had done such it the past(no law that forbid such). We need to understand that there is no real right and wrong in life. Your right is your reality and mine is my reality. |
Kobojunkie:Please, can you put more light to your submission |
Brother, I understand you want to be in charge which is normal for responsible guy, but your case is different, your wife family has it all and they can not close eyes and not take care of their sister. Since she is not using it against you and her family are not complaining, I think you should use your energy to build yourself up and stop complaining. Learn to overlook and ignore most of these things you mentioned. You didn't mention that she's rude. Focus on building yourself and allow her to enjoy her family in peace. The day you start to ignore, peace becomes your identity because she will never stop. You want her to manage when there is abundance, it is not possible. You can not choose suffer when there's excess somewhere. Face important things |
saphiere:Type this question to YouTube, you will find solution. We need to learn how to use Internet to solve majority of our questions |
True leadership is not by papers, but by exemplary actions actions. Leaders are people who by no privileges and authorities exhibit excellent results. Leaders are people who do what it takes to make life of the followers better even with national resources. Enough of all these political rascalities, all the papers acquisitions just to prove you're educated beyond your counterparts. Certificate is not the show of knowledge, but the dispensation of wisdom. Show yourself approved, let people know your capacity through your actions. How has he presented himself all this while in the political arena, all he show us is his material possession and not knowledge. I can't see brilliant projects when he was a senator. |
I do not agree with fayemi on this, the entire country rose against the idea because we never understood the need for it. ACN only took advantage of people's ignorance of the idea. People like Falana, Wole Soyinka and some other prominent Nigerians who were not politicians were part of the movement then. |
If we can visit majority of the past deals, some of the guys who are walking around today will be stone to death. Too many unguraded deals just to create avenue to steal. Nobody brought us here other than the greedy people who got opportunities to be in power. Majority of them are going about saying rubbish about the government of today because there is no opportunity for them to steal, they are acting like Saint and someone who cares. The past really needs to be visited and dealt with harshly. We need to send signals to the future by properly dealing with the past. |
Such merger can not work because Atiku still want to become president by all means. The problem will be the flag bearer. |
