Everybody is required to open a block account whether Bsc or Msc.
You must open the account before the interview buh you can decide to fund it before or after the interview (1-2 weeks after interview is advisable)

Modify:

Anyone using blocked funds as means of sustenance. You don't have to open an account for scholarship or Sponsorship.

Please Fam! I received my evaluation report (VPD) from uniassist which has been sent to the school I applied to but their AL comes around July which is a bit late for Visa application.

There's something called AM(approval mail) that comes into your email ±4-6weeks after your successful interview and visa application. In the AM you're requested to submit your;

1. Passport
2. Travel insurance & sometimes 3. Means of sustenance (If it hasn't been tendered before the email comes in). This is almost always the case, so I can factually say you're to get your passport back after interview(on your interview day). When you get your AM and submit the requirements, then the passport comes back to you stamped with a visa and all your original documents submitted (on your interview day) in a courier envelope.

Neither should you fret nor mind your agent, he's only doing what they do best; peddle fear and anxiety.

I've a letter from UI ( Alma Mater) stating My UG courses are taught in English and Exams written in English as well. Do I still need to write IELTS? I will be applying for all these school aforementioned. Thanks

Check the pages of the schools you applied to, they all give an estimate or send enquiry mails to get a time frame when to expect their decisions (they don't give exact dates). Mind you, your calculations should start from when uniassist submits your application to the respective schools.

Every school has their application for admission requirements on their page. When daad.de shows you schools, you dig deeper for their application requirements. This is May already, time is now mildly your friend.

Its been said that it even depends on the mood of the officer you meet at your foreign office. 5. Most Masters courses are 4 semesters (some 3) you get 18 months to look for a related job....
