Says who? Have you forgotten there is a word called GRACE. Please don't relent, apply to several programs that catch your interest. Prepare a very good motivation letter to suit each individual program, it actually goes a long way to enhance your application. If you have some work experience, include them in your cv. And above all, pray for God's favor.
Apply to courses you have healthy chances getting admitted into except the process is easy and free don't go burning your hard earned money on a goose chase, there are requirements for a reason and German courses are targeted world wide. Send as many enquiry mails as you can until its crystal clear to you.

Godspeed!

No offence to you Eldee but we don't have to be religious about everything. First picture TOEFL score, requirement was 108, candidate's score was 101; The second picture attachment "the course caught my interest"

TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Adhheir:

I will say this again like I have been saying Germany waka na per head yes but there are some basic things that is general to them all who ever your letter of reference or proficiency letter is address to is not really and issue except stated specifically by your school even some school have format for their reference letter and they will tell you straight but minus that the general rules apply .
Some schools won't ask you for motivation letter but will still go ahead and deny you base on that
and some won't ask because they don't care and its not a problem.
Sir, with all due respect, this isn't true. When they say ML isn't necessary, sometimes it really isn't. A school had to bold the part in their feedback mail after we went to inquire more from them when you said in one of your posts about bombarding every school with all documents.

I really don't mean to disrespect or offend you.

for STK all you need is the German proficiency she can apply with the b1 but b2 will give the person an edge over others that's just all . except after her STK the person now decides to study in English but don't see why he or she will want to study in English after mastering German language cos English will definitely limit her or him .
Hope this helps
Lol thanks, learning the language is one thing, studying a course with the new language is another. He feels he has better chances of performing well with an English course than its German counterpart, after all he's way more proficient in one than the other.

TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Adhheir: 7:46am On Jan 23, 2019
Phew! shocked Finally read it all to the current page... Overwhelming task to say the least but very rewarding. I can assure you of zero questions or anxiety if you could also undergo the task except you need time conscious interventions. Germany's tertiary application & admission is relatively straight forward. The major challenge is that many schools do not run online applications, the certification and the postal thing. Its normal for any prospective institution to request for proof of preceding experiences except you're attending elementary school.

All questions that could arise have been answered except for some peculiar cases which one doesn't pray to be in. The dynamic questions should be the ones about accommodation and funding where the exchange rate fluctuates and better offers could arise so I'd implore we please keep an open mind and not get tired of helping, when we see people repeat questions.

Bsc/Msc admission application cannot be as engaging as attending the school and studying the course itself. So if we've decided to go through the educational path we should be ready to give it all and start as early as possible. Whatever is worth doing at all; is worth doing well!

I thank every contributor, all your contributions even your arguments are invaluable.

With the warmest regards
Adheir.

I wrote my TOEFL in 2016, classés, Material and registration cost me 70k, it should expire after 2 years, but some school accept it even after the expiry date, the school I applied to this year accepted mine.
Hi, I'm having ETS send my TOEFL official scores to Uni-assist but there are other schools i'm applying to that do not use Uni-assist can I send then the "test taker score report (I mean the one we printed online when we checked our scores)?" I wouldn't want to receive mails about outstanding documents. It can be very exhaustive.

Thanks for your anticipated response

The turn up has been encouraging and its still ON!; the more the merrier, if you're interested in postalPooling send me a PM, I've got folks that their portal opening dates are earlier than my April 1, I'll introduce you to them and you can send yours together.

Godspeed!

Adhheir:
I'll be reposting this till April 1st when winter applications should be on for many schools... If you'd like to send your documents from lagos to Uni-assist through DHL and mitigate costs...send me a PM, from now till April 1st. 5 people were able to send their documents for just 29K...that's 6K and it got there in 3 days.

Let's mitigate costs bitte! After all one cannot attend more than one University.

Thanks for your benevolent inputs. I have done just that. In truth, my goal is immediately they open their portals, my application will be the first thing that pops...lol.

Hopefully I'll still make decent timing. The course is NC in some of the schools.

Hello all, I'm still on page 357; trying not to miss important information as I pour through the thread. I commend the contributors, its been quite fascinating and revealing.

I decided to opt for Deutschland after been shown sweet love twice at the US embassy last year for two different semesters with multiple admissions & tuition waivers (even with a promise of graduate assistantship which I understand isn't the same as already having the offer at hand)

Like I mentioned earlier I poured through the thread, I've been to Daad.de, uni-assist and to respective prospective schools' websites. I've been able to shortlist 8 schools and I've submitted an application to one already (online).

Here's my challenge; i'm using Uni-assist for five schools whose portals for winter applications are not yet available hence I don't have access to their applications to be able to print them as a supporting document for certification at the embassy. I've only been able to print one and I need to certify at least three sets of documents. Can I go to the embassy with one school's signed application form and expect them to certify more than one set of documents? I'm ready to go on Monday if I can get a reply to this. I've come to understand that time is very essential when it comes to German applications and I'd very much like to be on the timely side.

Thanks for your anticipated response.

If your family can afford it, why not? But you know if there's no aided fund to supplement your expenses you have to show a robust bank statement to show you can afford it. Think like a VO wink

QUESTION ON YOUR MIND?
Why the University?
As much as we all want to improve our knowledge on our chosen field...take into consideration this things below in answering that question

1. What defect we have in nigeria and how studying in d university can cure it
2. The No 1 above can be because the university or department in d university has success stories on it or has d medium to cure it
3. It could even be, the city were the university is located has existing structures in place or mechanism to cure d No 1 above thus studing in d university avails u d opportunity to research on it den you can use same on ur return to nigeria
4. It could even be a specific professor in the university whom u have communicated with, that has experience in curing the No1 above mayb by his previous research or present research.

Be it any, let ur studying in d US cure a defect in Nigeria or introduce a new idea in our country.
That way d interviewer can reason with you.

Have a nice day.
Hello,
Any new developments on your visa status? Have you received your passport? Some of us are actually hoping it was a system glitch and the visa comes with your passport since you submitted genuine statements.

Look at the picture on my wall very well. I am not a kid or 20-something. If we exchange ideas here, it does not lower my qualification or whatsoever. I have not modify any comment, and I will not do it. Just state where I say a student should use a fake statement. And by the way, who are you that toying with your intelligence would be something I waste my time for?
Baba, you don't have to become so defensive, this thread is filled with graduate students; some have already bagged their MSCs and/or PHds. I didn't say you modified your post, I said the initial poster who said "they intend to lie about their bank statements" did, which you advised "everyone should run their race and carry their cross". At this stage of my life no-one can bully me with age or experience that's the major problem our dear country is facing; some seventy something old politicians feel they're in the prime age with the best experience to lead and I don't have to tell you their results. My question is still what was the implication of you quoting the post of someone who said they want to lie about their statements and your advise of them running their race and carrying their cross? Does that sound like "don't do that, don't ruin your chances and that of others?" Please enlighten me as you've done in the past.

You sure know you misinterpret me.
Yes, you've rendered help and become a significant part of the community with your inputs, but don't play coy with our intelligence, you just advise someone that its okay to lie about their bank statements which can come back to bite the person which could further screw more genuine students. You're gonna have to explain your interpretation because this is the obvious interpretation?
Even the poster modified their post huh
