People thinking they are mocking God/those who believe in him are simply foolish.Despite high faith in technology/technological advancement, thousands perish via aircrafts mishap, car accident and other things which accident has caused.Humans are good in building Nuclear weapons, guns that release tens of bullets per second but have not yet come out with systems that prevent planes from crashing. And many are here spewing nonsense. People die cause humans die.It doesnt matter if you believe in God or not cause when its your time, its inevitable |

For the sake of clarity or will i say just saying something about the issue of vodoo being real or not,i will like to just drop a piece(still not going to change a thing about perceptions) ''Belief'' is a very complex word.its usually two sided. That we believe in Law of motion of today is because almost every postulation or theory that makes up science was derived from Newton seeing an apple fall from a tree(though this single act is being applied in science today),a lot of questions are asked but no solutions but we keep on applying them everyday. One can really argue on whether acceleration due to gravity value is really9.81 cos when i throw anything up i dont really see the value we keep on applying it everyday in engineering as we know it today. That the general believe that earth is round is just theories. We have not really gone to space to see and believe the earth is round. That people travel to the moon could be all lies as we know it.
Bottom line is if we are to disbelieve the existence of a lot things because we are yet to experience them, then we are going to believe in nothing |

chemystery: all those things are magic tricks. Even white people perform worse on stage yet they call them tricks ok,the white man called it tricks and you believe in 'magic tricks' but when the blACK Man calls it vodoo, you dont believe in it.As i said, theres nothing no one can tell you that will make you believe unless you experience it first hand |

chemystery: I have always being a skeptic even when I was into religion. I had a turbulent upbringing and my idea about life is that of doubt and suspicion. I never trust anything. When you grow up in rural African, it is almost impossible not to believe in voodoo. Even obtaining a PhD in science related discipline may not help you erase this skewed belief from your brain.
I was in Senior Secondary School 2 at that time. I knew much about the impotence and uselessness of voodoo, I never believed it for a second. Afterall I went through some tutelage in herbal concoction and voodoo in the hands of my maternal grandfather. I knew vodoo was nothing but charade and twist of reality.
The common discussion among we the senior boys then usually centered on girls and voodoo. If it not about how to toast that beautiful classmate of yours, it was about how to use voodoo to pass exams. Such is the life in rural Africa! But I was different. I was only interested in the girls' talk and not the voodoo aspect.
My friends and some family members nicknamed me "Mr science" because I would always find a logical explanation to whatever point they could raise. But a time came that my friends teamed up to "'prove" to me that voodoo was real. So they called me to advertise a man that was unbeatable in voodoo in our village at that time. They challenged me to go for any voodoo of my choice. We arranged to visit the old man. There were varieties of voodoo at his disposal. There was a charm for fighting( Aluwo in Yoruba language), I didn't need that because I hate fighting. There was Memory booster charm(ogun isoye). I didn't need that idea. I was leading the class in every subject. Then there was "touch and follow" (amudo) charm. That was it! That was my choice.
There had been this beautiful girl that I was eyeing but my taciturnity and shyness wouldn't allow me talked to her. So my friends decided I use her for the guinea-pig to prove the potency of the "touch and follow" charm. We went to the voodoo man. After the usual show off and self-praised he handed me the ring which he instructed that I should LovePeddler on my middle finger and touch the woman of my choice. He boasted that anyone I touched, must follow me instantly. We went home. We waited for the right time to see the girl, for we dare not go into their compound. Her father was fire!
The right opportunity came calling when my friend pointed to Bose(I changed her name) coming from the stream with bucket of water on her head. Quickly we rearranged, strategised and manoeuvred. My friends went the other way while I conered her at slim path. "Hello Bose where are you coming from", I managed to utter these words as my heart was already in my mouth. Before she could look back to response, I touched her bottom with the ring as instructed. The humiliation I got next was beyond description. She emptied the water completely on my head immediately accompanied with two fast slaps. My eyes where cleared. I was drenched. I wanted to abscond from the scene but Bose did the worst. She held me and screamed. Almost instantly the people gathered. She narrated how I touched her bottom. That was a great offense!
Well the rest is story. Moma's 7 lashes were not as painful as the jest and laughter coming from my classmates. We went to the voodoo man the evening of the second day to complain how his "medicine" bleeped up. The baba threatened to turn us into chicken. He sent us away. I won anyway.
Although humiliated, but I was able to once again prove to people around me that voodoo does not work. But you need a skeptical and inquisitive mind to find out.
This is just one of the many encounters i have had about the falsehood and deceit in voodoo. And don't ever import the "No true Scotsman Fallacy" into this by telling me that i have never met a real juju man. Don't tell me real juju men don't do fake voodoo. All voodoo are fake.
Ayodele - Facebook User i can go on and on telling you about incidences, personal experience(Not told or hersay) but whatever i tell you/you are going to be told is going to be worthless cos your mind is made up.The only thing that can convince you is experience |

AlriGht, joke apart, you are wrong. Just accept it. I could give you an hour long lecture on star-delta transformation and it's attendant effect on voltage and current.
Some loads require 3phase supply, others single phase; which is achieved by using one of the 3phases nd the neutral as return path to complete the circuit which is the primary use of the neutral wire. You made me refer back to my textbook since you seem to need 'proof'.if after reading this, you still maintain your argument, then there's nothing I can do for you. Cyberrex: nope I disagree on the density of ice, ice is just an example of "all body and no weight" it can't have the same density as water, ice is an expansion of water, it tends to float on water and can't possess the same density with water, it is lighter and its weight can't displace the liquid while i see reasons with you on ice floating on water(for something to float,it must be less dense than water/liquid) but ice is not an expansion of water but rather contraction(heating/boiling is an an eg of expansion while freezing is contraction) and ice density is withing proximity of density of water(checked the densities via google),it is safe to say that the density of ice is too small to cause any displacement and not really because its all body,n weight theory.lol |

Cyberrex: nope, I think it's due to Archimedes principle which revolves round uptrust, it won't overflow because ice is lighter than we think and it doesn't have the weight to displace it no.its not because ice is lighter.Density is directly proportional to mass. The density of water and iice is the same.so it means that mass is not a factor here. For archimedes principle to apply, the mass of object must displace an amount of water which is equal to the mass of the object. So since ice and water has the same density which is equal to the mass,no displacement occurs meaning that theres neither increase or decrease in volume of water.so therefore volume remains constant |

obidaddy: Sansa epitomizes most women in their initial/teenage beginning. She was first obsessed with fairytale kind of life/Princess and prince thing. She got heart broken, abused, exploited and humiliated. But she subsequently learnt her lessons, and learnt the game, after suffering in the hands of the masters. Only she seem to understand the enormity and abilities of cersi. Please cut her some slack, I too initially disliked her, she was like black sheep amongst the well groomed stark kids. Presently even snow is naive in the games of power/throne compared to sasi, she saved snow and helped reclaim the north. She is presently trying to make snow not to underestimate cerci. Great plot, great story line. yea.thats what am saying.Sansa is a more dangerous version of cersei due the fact that cersie learnt almost everything from the art of warfare, politics, surrounding yourself with the right allies, bringing down your enemies from the iniside and so many others from her father and sansa learnt all this from her.But one thing she is lacking which sansa has mastered is how to embrace fear and how to bring your friends close and enemies closer and this has made a better leader than her immediate family and most leaders in the movie |

for people calling game of thrones overhype or people who watched very few episodes thinking its overhyped are probably being caught up by jenifas diary that have no substance.just something you watch to relax. Not a movie that makes wait a year+ just to see an episode.you need to watch movies that are unpredictable, intriguing.movies you cant predict who dies next.Movies that move you(like the death of rob stark, his wife and mother).Need movies where at season 7,people watching have no clue on how the ending is going to be.etc and game of thrones is one of those movies |
