You are wrong about Benue and Taraba.
Benue is too bad for PDP, very bad governor. The reports i have is that the guy may be No.2 to Orji in bad governance performance. Taraba' s case for Buhari is the military traditions of that state and the rep of Buhari in the military. Buhari was also military governor of the mega state that became Taraba, Borno, Adamawa, Yobe, Bauchi and Gombe and oral tradition dies slowly. The only hope for Jonathan here is muslim-xtian divide and maybe age demographics. Young people may not really care about ''good ole days''.

If you're widely read enough, all you have to remember is that this is such a thing as SIPRI or the UN arms register which would show arms purchases for every year and by which country. Is it lack of nothing to say or offer that led to this? Or is that the President surrounds himself with advisers who don't know their onions?

GEJ advisers are so suffused with money that to do little research is a problem for them. The "no rifle bought for the army" remark is going to haunt him thoughout this week end up until early next week. Also building prisons instead of schools, PDP should tell us how many prisons Buhari had time to build in 18months that he was in power.
Now I would personally support the building of many prisons.

You are too quick. I was boasting that Jonathan will trip himself from his first day of campaign. Don't worry there are many of them. People have gotten busy since his speech (which I admit was good enough for half educated unemployed youths that he has been destroying) compiling all the boo boos and landmines he has set for himself. The papers will sell very well in the next few days and websites will score thousands of hits. Jonathan us campaigns against Jonathan.

I am an APC supporter but on this story of queues for commodities he did not a lie. The only problem is that he was criticizing something that was good and most Nigerians supported.
The Story:
NPN the rulling party before Buhari regime had looted treasury, oil prices were also down to $35 a barrel due to the international manipulations and foreign exchange was scarce. Buhari and Idiagbon were not going take foreign loans and devalue the currency. They were so sure that the problem of foreign exchange was a temporary one and could always be rode through that they rationed foreign exchange and all imported consumer goods had to be rationed. They also started partnering with local manufacturers Nestle, Cadburys, st.c to expand local manufacturing capacity.

So Jonathan is right, we queued but unlike him we liked it because we knew our naira was just N2 to the $1 and that all the ''essential commodities" were soon to be made in Nigeria. Anyway, IBB came later and destroyed everything and the entire country.

If this was a flawless and educated speech to you then I am worried for my country. GEJ spoke better than he has spoken in a long time but the quality is still poor. I think he was dumbing things down as he should in a campaign to the masses. However I am expecting a lot of flak and bullets on every point he raised. He was defensive to an extreme but he also gave back as well. This will not be a dull election.

I am surprised about the quality of Nigeria and its dropping standards as well. There are very few orators around and Jonathan used to be the worst amongst our politicians but is now learning after six years in office.
I think he realises that losing this election is a distinct possibility and has decided to come out fighting for something for the first time of his life. The best orators were in the time of Shagari.

Jonathan spoke differently in a more passionately aggressive way but he has given material for a lot newspaper many articles and lots of campaigns topics to APC.
1. He concentrated on youths but many young people have died in employment queues after paying N 1000 tor jibs
and the minister is still on seat. 200 young girls are still missing as we speak.
3. He questioned the defence and security credentials of Buhari and he has just run into ambush. Buhari defeated
foreign invasions twice as ordinary brigade commander without waiting for instructions. He stamped out the sect called maitatsine.
4. Jonathan asked how many weapons Buhari bought for the armed forces and he will be replied to show what weapons have been procured so far with about N2 trillion naira defence expenditure and why it is not making a difference.
5. You Win and other youth empowerment picky started just about a year ago. The game t is not lost on anybody that they are mere election year programs.

I knew that Jonathan will trip himself and we have not seen anything yet.

The one I like is the one about " instead of building prisons I am building schools".

I think Nigeria needs a lot of prisons. Nigeria is the most under-prisoned country in the world and it is affecting the other sectors. We need twelve more prisons for white collar crimes and at least three maximum security prisons.

This is not issue based campaigning. He spoke with passion for the first time since I have been watching him.
He is making a play for Nigerian youths which the APC has controverting facts to deal with, a number of them died looking for jobs after paying N1000 to pick forms for Customs and Immigrations. 200 or more female youths are missing as we speak.

Prisons are required. I think Nigeria is under prisoned. We need a lot more to tackle to the corruption and official crimes. All the universities built are poor quality and of unaccredited.
