The truth of the matter is that both ibori and alamieyeseigha are victims of the struggle for resource control! Not that they did anything that other governors did not do but their speaking up for the rights of their people destroyed them....

That is why they are popular and much loved till this day by the Niger Delta.

For those of you from the south south supporting apc I pray that God will open yours eyes to see that the conspiracy is real. All these people want is our oil. They don't care about our people once the oil drys up they will push us out of this so called one Nigeria.

Ask your selves this: why are all the idol billionaire in the north not being hunted like our people in the south south? Because any of us with a financial muscle is a threat to their agenda! Open your eyes
SOUTH SOUTH ARISE!!!
Liar and coward you are. Why did these governors not develop the Niger Delta . They want you oil?. Rubbish!!!
Poor man talking. They have sold you finish. Peter Odili took the equivalent of $5bn to bribe every big man in Nigeris, starting from Northern Emir so that he can be President. Ibori spent billions so that Yaradua will become President and was behind him like a rock of Gilbaltar. Sometimes I think there is something in the salt water that makes Riverine people very stupid. Completely unwise and too clannish to hold their politicians to account. We just read how Ibori extorted money through threats from Econet Wireless. I have been wondering why people of the state never enjoyed the dividend of their investment in GSM companies. Now we know why.
Another big Idiot is Igbinedion who is living in Sm Africa.. LOL!!!. Idiots governing fools. I laugh in Kenley language.

After reading all these testimonies, it keeps me wondering on how much bribes and kickbacks must have been paid by someone like Aliko Dangote to keep his business afloat. This is so unfortunate. By the way, Masiyiwa is so right about Botswana, this is perhaps the only country in Africa that is almost 100% corruption free!

This is a front page material...
Dangote was paying bribes to most Jonathan's ministers. It is possible that the practice started with Obj regime. This was on a regular basis. You are a Nigerian. It is your right to know. Obj if you asked him never claimed not to have participated in corruption but a leader should do all he can to eliminate all non-system corruption.

Some empty cowardly , born to suffer for others, unemancipated, slaves from the Niger Delta still say Ibori was not corrupt. Very soon the region will be worse than Darfur. Take it for me. Any region where the people are clannish to the point of not accepting the truth and saying it will not grow. This is what destroyed the north but they are even changing. The Niger Delta will never grow because of the lightweight, vision less and decadent elite they have, not because of lack of resource control.

It's good there is an impending downward review in the price of petroleum and I hope with this our wailing brothers would admit this is indeed Change.

I think credit should go to GEJ though IF true. grin
You don't understand the GEJ government. If oil price and international prevailing price had forced down the price of fuel they would still have kept it high to enrich the "traders of fuel" with private jets and Dieziani would have confused the dumbo about retaining profits anyway there would have been no decrease.

Obama was extremely reluctant to overthrow another country'so government no matter how unacceptable. The GCC countries, Europe and large tribes in Syria almost turned the US into a stupid mercenarto country if they has sent troops.
The winner in Syria is not Russia or Iran. It is Assad whom everybody thought was a pushover but alas No.
He started winning when ISIS broke sideways to seize a large part of Iraq.

I wish all this politicians can be smart enough to know that moving money from Nigeria abroad only makes Nigeria worse and develop the countries they move them too. money laundering is like investment for the countries they land.

Who is Goodluck Jonathan?. A lucky man who became president at the death of another. Shuffled to the top from behind by a not so nice Yoruba General and ex President. You guys have lost sense of reasoning. Amechi was in politics when Goodluck was a not so bright staff of NDDC.

Stupid article. If Buhari worked for the growth of Boko Haram, why are they still bombing and killing?.
Very silly, lying article. Boko Haram started before Jonathan knew he was going to be VP. The roots are in the behaviour of evil PDP politicians.
Jonathan's issue was gross incompetence in leadership and it was his slackness and not holding people to account that made it grow.
Face facts and accept mistakes so that they won't be repeated.

It is. Jonathan was still in power in 2013/2014 and they did nothing, why?. Jonathan himself did not know half of it or if he did must be a more clueless person than we even thought. If the UK government did nothing at the height of the Jonathan's time in office then there was something they were defending themselves against. Ministers don't have immunity.

Politics › Re: Dieziani's Arrest: Why Buhari Should Not Be Hailed by Adminisher: 10:08pm On Oct 02, 2015
TonyeBarcanista:
Let me start this piece by stating that the arrest and ongoing investigation of Mrs Alison Diezani Madueke by the United Kingdom Crime Agency is a welcome development. I shall continue to support public officers to answer to any allegation against them irrespective of political affiliation, religion or ethnic group. This article however is meant to clear the air on who is to take credit before supporters of president Buhari and APC accord the glory to Buhari.

UK Crime Agency Should Take Credit For Alison's Arrest:
The arrest of Allison was done by the UK Crime Agency acting on their own investigation, which only God know when they started. The EFCC never demanded for Alison's arrest, it was 100% UK initiative.

Why It Is Wrong To Credit Buhari:
The arrest of Madueke is not the first to be done by the UK government. Recall on September 16, 2005 the UK Police arrested then Governor Diepreye Alamesiegha for money laundry www.news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4253362.stm. The glory of that arrests that eventually led to his impeachment and imprisonment went to the UK and not Obasanjo's administration. The glory that went to Obasanjo was that it was his government that prosecuted him after he fled the UK- though he(Alams) was rather given a slap on the wrist. He still wanted in the UK

In May 2010, UAE authorities arrested James Ibori on the request of British Authorities after he had fled Nigeria due to being on the wanted list of the UK (2007) and Nigeria/EFCC (2010). Nevertheless, the credit went to the british authoritÍes and not President Goodluck Jonathan who had earlier ordered EFCC and Onovo-led police to arrest him. www.news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8680569.stm
www.saharareporters.com/2010/05/12/james-ibori-arrested-dubai

Buhari Is Not Sincere With Anti-corruption
Since coming to power Buhari has been making probe rhetoric and has never shown the will. In fact, he has been drinking and eating with alleged corrupt officials like Amaechi, Atiku, Tinubu etc. Obasanjo in his letter once dared Atiku Abubakar to travel to the USA and see if he won't be arrested. Buhari is also yet to take action over the alleged corruption of Fashola as highlighted by Governor Ambode. In fact, the only case that's on the prosecution line is that of Saraki, which we all know was precipitated by political disagreement and not really because Buhari want to fight corruption. Buhari withdrew the EFCC's N2,8billion case against Sylva and even gifted him ticket for Bayelsa governorship election. In fact, Sylva was with Buhari during the Oct 1st celebration. Another is the case of Abubakar Audu, a right-hand man of Buhari since his ANPP days who despite his corruption case was gifted the ticket for Kogi governorship poll.

I make bold to state that the british would have arrested Diezani irrespective of who is in power. It is a shame that our so-called government cannot do things themselves but rely on the UK lead. Unfortunately, the properties and monies that will be seized will be added to the treasury of the Brits and their allies.

Finally, if Buhari want to fight corruption, he should start from home and we all shall support him. There are lots of ex-Govs, Senators and other public officials that has lots of indictment and cases to answer. He can't take the glory of another country! For now, he is yet to prove his hype.

May God Bless Us All
So you are TonyeBarcanista.
You don't know jack. UK crime agency was activated by Buhari himself based on talks with the UK government. There is an international dragnet for all public treasury looters. You have to learn to be more matured in thinking. When Buhari was visiting the UK repeatedly, you guys said he was going for instructions or was being teleguided. It never occurred to you that the trap was being sprung. Also it was obvious to people who were better informed that intense work was being done within the Presidency to deal with the major looters but you people still said Baba Go Slow.
I would advise that you stop posting ignorantly and just look, listen and learn how the world catches corporate thieves and treasury looters . We have said it many times that you cannot steal to hide funds abroad without breaking money laundering laws of those countries.
Dieziani herself will most likely do plea bargain and rope I'm many people . Please stop posting , look, listen and learn

Gej decide to empower the south, allowing them to steal and loot to enrich and empower the regoin so tge future of our unborn children will be secured yet we join this people who want to own it all, rule forever to call GEJ names, taunt Gej.just like Fayose said GEJ gave it all like JESUS yet we chastize him, abuse him.today because of Gej we can boast of multi millionaires in the private sector from the south. Today the south can boast of over 300 professors, something that was unimmaginable in the military era. The people in the south are to ignorant and short sighted , over the months iv painstainkingly read on wikipedia about the cause of major Gen Orkar coup, the aburi accord. To all militants in the niger delta, now its the time to show you were fighting in the interest of your people.
