Akon419: Buhari is a frud . Since day one he hv bin sharing money without finance minister to acct for it. No wonder he refuse to decare his assets This is idiotic. Money is easily stolen when you have a finance minister. A finance minister does not act as a check on a president in any way. He appoints his Ministers. Nigeria's only mandate rests 0n him. I thought they taught all these in school |

Women are also hideously affected. One tenth of Syria are now packing themselves on boats heading for European countries under the most criminal people the world has ecer onown. War is about poverty, misery, pain and suffering as it is about shooting guns for sport. It also holds back a people for at least ten years. There is no more ambition and aspiration in war, no human rights, no good health and the baser more useless people on earth become the strong men. Of course they were fake. I listened to Okonjo not less than 20 times in the last three years. There were statements like; the economy grew 7% but inflation rate is 10% and Naira value depreciated by 20%...her idiotic admirers would clap. She completely confused the dim witted Jonathan. Anybody could have confused the guy but her own was extra ordinary. Jonathan got his own back when he stopped reading the budget of lies and would ask the woman to go and read it herself. First time in the history of Nigeria that a President refuses to read the budget in parliament. Okonjo only gave good service during Obj's regime because she was well guided by a strong president. I think she was a bad boss to Jonathan. |

He has a national profile with string links to every geographical zone in Nigeria. He is actually the next ND Nigerian President in waiting. I don't know why closed minded young people from the SE and SS do not understand this man. It is very simple. He never liked the full Jonathan and his uneducated over bearing wife. He was honest about it. There were many people dining with Jonathan who also hated him. Amechi has lost nothing unless you are a low IQ PDP supporter in from the SE SS. |

It’s May 29th 2015. The North is aflame with celebration. So too the S-west. There is a mourning spirit pervading the S-East and S-South and parts of North Central. Except for the efulefu circles celebrating…Gen. Buhari is being sworn in as president, Fed Rep of Nigeria.
* Buhari, upon assumption of power announces a major probe into MDAs since 1999. Massive jubilations rent the North, and SW. With efulefus too…
* Buhari sacks all services chiefs and security heads. Replaces all with mostly Hausa-Fulani folks. The North hail endlessly. The SW hails too, but in a lower tone. The SS/SE are silent, save for the efulefus among them celebrating cautiously…
* Buhari orders immediate relocation of all amouries in the South back to the North, calling Obj and GEJ “outlaws” for moving amouries away from the North. Jubilation in the North, SW jubilate half heartly…efulefus celebrate nervously…
* Buhari declares war on corruption. Reverses the privatization of PHCN, claiming it was fraudulently sold off. North roars in joy, SW murmur, efulefus smile about nervously…
* Buhari cancels second Niger bridge project, citing it as one of Jonathan’s corruption based projects. North explodes in joy, SW scratch their heads, SE/SW mourn deeply, efulefus now confused.
* Buhari suspends all upgrade work at Calabar/Onne seaports, citing corruption in the award of the contracts and also that the ports are a conduit for insurgents to bring in arms into the N-Delta. Now the efulefus begin to grumble silently…the North rejoices…
* Fulani herdsmen kill thousands in night raids in the N central. Christian militias retaliate at once. Buhari orders a nation-wide revocation of all firearms licenses, sends soldiers and police on door to door search for firearms, whether licensed or not…Observers note these raids are all in the N central and Southern Nigeria.
* Reports of silent killings, esp of opposition politicians keep coming in. The Buhari led FG denies complicity. There is terror and deep fear in the land. Anti govt activists and groups begin to mobilize against the tyrannical govt.
* AIT, STV and Channelstv shut down by the Buhari led govt for “instigating crisis” in the polity. The media houses proceed to court, the court orders their reopening at once, Buhari ignores the court orders.
* 2016 population census is done: Kano alone gets a population of 35m, all the S-east states put together get barely 36m. The SW states plus Lagos get barely 45m. The day begins to break for the efulefus..
* Buhari bans the use of FaceBook and twitter in Nigeria. Prescribes harsh jail terms of an IP is traced to any social media site. Quarrels and disagreements spark off between Osibanjo and Buhari. Hundreds of young people are hauled into jail for Facebooking.
* MEND attacks oil pipelines, crippling oil production. Buhari orders thousands of troops to crush them. Bitter fighting breaks out in the N-Delta, leaders of the N-Delta movement are arrested and executed without trial. Now the SWest is silent…efulefus nowhere to be found…
* Buhari announces a major slash in Fed allocation to states, citing the war in the N-Delta. Nigerians are furious with the excruciating hard times, the FG explains that the monumental damage done to the economy by decades of military rule plus 16 years of PDP misrule cannot be fixed in 4 years. Now the generality of Nigerians are swallowing hard….
* IBB, GEJ, OBJ etc all rally together to form a common front against Buhari’s govt. Tinubu falls out with Buhari and joins in the coalition. Buhari orders their arrest and slams them into detention. Their lawyers proceed to court to secure the freedom. All the court orders are damned by the Buhari led govt.
* 2019 elections approach. More reports of silent killings. The opposition parties are too afraid to campaign or field a candidate against Buhari. Tinubu charges NADECO to fight on hard against the dictatorship of Buhari as they “gallantly” did against Abacha. The S-East and S-South laugh at him, asking him to go and tame the monster he unleashed from chain unto Nigerians himself.
* 90% of the political parties adopt Buhari as their candidate. All opposition leaders have fled the country, some missing. Militants in the N-delta step up operations, routing the army and advancing Northwards. Thousands of volunteers join them, along with other militant groups to push Buhari’s forces off the region.
* Buhari suspends Nollywood, declaring them a “source of immorality”…Nigerians now are too afraid to resist. Many journalists are arrested and detained for writing against the govt.
* Brazil and Israel announce their support for the groups fighting the FG. They provide support and logistics. Now the FG gets real jittery. Inflation spirals out of control, over 25m people displaced by the bitter fighting. Looting, rape and robbery by both citizens and military personnel become very high.
* A major mutiny occurs within the armed forces. A nation-wide state of emergency is declared. Rumours of the death of some past presidents in detention filters out. A nation-wide state of emergency is declared. No more elections. Year after year, the state of emergency on the nation is maintained. The system grinds to a halt. Buhari. Is accused of refusing to lift the emergency state so as to foist himself as president for life.
* The SE and SS declare independence from Nigeria. 14 nations recognize them. The FG calls it illegality of the highest order…
* North Central declares independence.
* The FG calls for meeting of all “aggrieved regions” to reconcile. None is interested. Well, well peeps, welcome to my imagination! Do you think these events lack bizarre possibilities? Personally, I don’t believe Nigerians have so offended the Universe to deserve this.
So we can only avoid such scenarios by not bringing such unto ourselves by the choices we make. Vote wisely. Peace

calebo101: He admitted that the process took a period of six months, dating back to former President, Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, adding “the process was rigorous as they looked at many issues including, land, investment, technical competence, design and a host of many others.”
So the "clueless" one has been working silently in the background without noise or fanfare?
Honestly Buhari should have a walk in the park governing Nigeria. He doesn't have to do much. Let him just relax and continue GEJ policies because all the sacrifices of Jonathan are already yielding fruits.
We should have been patient with Uncle Jo. He clearly knew what he was doing. From Auto policies to Agricultural growth to improvement in Power generation and modular refineries to spur growth locally. Almajiri Schools, new universities nationwide, FOI bill.
Is it the new airports or the attempts to open the East to the world? Enugu international airport and the commencement of the 2nd Niger bridge? He even impacted on the rail sector . All these in 5 years under war.
If only the demons that control the media don't toy with the uneducated Nigerians. Strangely enough they shout corruption but Transparency international thinks otherwise!!! Our corruption rating has drastically reduced from 1st position during Obasanjo's reign to 43rd under Jonathan!!!
Painful enough Jonathan isn't around to reap the fruits of his labour. All these things he accomplished even when the demons from the North kept terrorising. Something one old fool with otapiapia mouth couldn't achieve in 8 peaceful years!!
God bless you Jonathan. We the simple people who are not sophisticated neither born to rule acknowledge your efforts in building Nigeria. We acknowledge no other president has attempted to tackle Nigeria's multi-faceted issues the way you did.
We only pray your successor can build on your foundation... unless he is a dullard as they say. The question is why after a whole six years there are no refineries on ground?. In stead we were importing fuel at $1bn a year. Your post is filled with unresearched half truths and brazen lies. We are talking six years. The world judges you harshly for practical things they see on the ground and not for projects in the cooler that were not executed because of some people who kept them in the cooler so that they can gain. |

Leopardd: Who doesn't know Boyloaf?
When I was in Abuja, Boyloaf would come to party with plenty of babes and pop the most expensive wines. The guy is a charlatan, who is only after his own pocket. I know under Jonathan he used to receive millions of naira monthly without doing anything, he would boast that his brother is on seat and that nothing is gonna happen. See fool. This post only goes to show how clueless Jonathan was?. This is very unlikely for an African. After paying militants for doing nothing for years, a normal, educated, well rounded Nigerian with his wits about him would normally start getting irritated by it all. I am wondering whether any ex Nigerian leader could have tolerated the free payments and indolence rubbish for so long. Obj would have started grumbling after the first year and cut them off suddenly. Yaradua would have called a meeting and made sure they were at least contributing something to their region for all the money. You have to have the level of cluelessNess of Jonathan to allow things to get to the level of indolence they were enjoying. Jonathan himself never really worked, exerted himself or led anything all his life. I am not sorry that the people who benefitted from him are knocking him. He does not have my sympathy he has my contempt. |

The truth is coming out gradually, albeit from a Jonathan critic. But I know the nairaland resident zombies won't like this news. Building institutions will not kill corruption. It does something worse. It institutionalises it. Like British type of corruption. To be honest , Jonathan had no policy towards corruption and all of you know it . All these after the fact suppositions are just to put credit him with ideas that never came to his mind. All Jonathan did on corruption was reactive.. after serious , very stinging, reputation damaging criticisms from Nigerians. Indeed his only failure was corruption. He would have been given five terms if he had fought it, probed Obj, IBB and Abdusalami and cleaned up Nigerian politics. That would have been the TRANSFORMATION AGENDA instead of mundane stuff like seasonal roads, half completed airport terminals and a minor part of a refurbished 100 year old railway |

Buhari should stop chasing shadows, he only has 4 years in aso rock So there are pressing issues? . Jonathan's ministers, cronies and generals have stolen trillions of naira that is the cause. Let the money comes back and you would see what happens to thr pressing issues - electricity, jobs , security, education. All these were caused by the PDP. In order to solve it we have to do things in a new way first. We need to grow in real terms without borrowing. That means recovering money stolen and putting it to good use. |
