Very foolish man. You want to use sympathy to make yourself president knowing this will evoke unrest in your country? Instead of you to go back to the books and fight for 2025 like George Weah of Liberia did, you want power now now. Because majority of the youth and your music fans support you doesn't mean you will depose a seasoned politician with all the government/armed forces support in just one contest. Now, you just made things worse for yourself, by declaring yourself president-elect. Something Atiku could not even do when he contested against Buhari. You have fought the first battle in your political career, you lost now move on and take a cue.

Social media is really deceiving alot of people that they can become powerful because of support and followership. Just like some group of Nigerians believe Aisha Yeshufu or Falz will become president in 2023.

I know some people will insult me. Those same people insulted Trump when he said he won the elections. But trust human beings, who are willing to shift their standards to suit their sentiments.

Seeing comments on this thread, there's nothing to find out about why Nigeria remains like this.

This two categories of people form majority of the Nigerian population:


1. Those who can't read and thus remain largely uninformed

2. Those who can read but never do so and thus, they have a very warped idea of reality.

Out of this two, the second category is worse Nairaland unfortunately has a lot of them.

I'm summary, reading won't kill you so read and if you can't, please don't comment so that we won't say you're foolish.

Lol... so much hate here. I don't hate any of my teachers. I'd like to believe they did all they did for me to turn out good. Even if that wasn't the case, that believe gives me peace of mind. It's not easy to be a teacher. A student will hate you for punishing them but will still love their parents who used to hit them with all sorts of objects. The truth is, if you aren't someone's parent, it's extremely hard proving you're hitting/punishing them out of love and not hate.

The Kevin guy might have turn out great cause he was trying to prove a point all thanks to the teacher who challenged him as a kid. But here he is cursing the same teacher. I read through his writeup and I didn't see any proof that he was mistreated. I only saw claimes that some parents gave him (the teacher) money (it's natural for one to believe others are treated better cause the authority receives favour from them but do African parents really give teachers money to pet their kids?) and that he was probably sleeping with the matron (this was an assumption and even if it was true, his business does not count here). I also read that he (the writer) was hit for greeting in a certain way; a very normal thing in many schools. While many teachers tend to have favourites (everyone has, it's just not OK to make it obvious), it's also common for the academically poor students to believe they are being maltreated even when that's not the case.

It's understandable if he had these grudges as a kid but as an adult who has experienced life, I'm afraid such level of hatred is unhealthy even for him. His friends and family should be careful around him cause his kind can take grudges to the grave. And that makes me wonder if he really turned out great as he claimed cause a truly fulfilled and happy man wouldn't be preoccupied by such things at this point.

Just my take.

For those who are not from the State, this is Umahi's hand work. The PDP Chairman in the State, Barr Nwaebonyi is Umahi's boy. He didn't decamp with Umahi to APC. Umahi's brother Austin Umahi is the South East Zonal PDP chairman. Another Umahi's brother Maxwell Umahi is also Zonal PDP Exco. Umahi left these men in PDP as moles to either destabilize or hijack the Party.
But PDP NWC was smart to have dissolved the exco immediately. Now the dissolved Umahi's camp in their dreams decided to suspend all the National Assembly members and members of the new exco set up by National PDP who refused to decamp with Umahi.
Umahi's plan was to hijack both PDP and APC in the State. Just today, immediately after his defection, APC dissolved it's State exco and appointed Umahi's commissioner as APC chairman in the State. He runs the State as family business so he wants to hijack the two parties.
APC bigwigs like the Hon Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu who is from Umahi's LGA and Senator Sunny Ogbuoji APC 2019 Governorship candidate in Ebonyi did not attend Umahi's welcome party today. These men know Umahi better. The real fight has begun in Ebonyi APC because Umahi is to domineering Tova fault. Time shall tell.
