Please I have a question, considering culture in various parts of Nigeria and experience anyone on this forum might have or must have heard, I want to get to know somethings.

If a lady is about to be bethroathed to guy or a man, probably from childhood, is there in any way, any spiritual steps involved, like something being done spiritually or traditionally?

And if take for instance, the lady isn't aware of any of this arrangement till when she's now old enough, and in a relationship that'll definitely lead to marriage and family now presents the bethroated to her just like that and she doesn't want to go ahead with the arranged marriage with the bethroathed because she doesn't love or know much about the person, is there going to be any spiritual consequences for such action and does it mean nothing can be done to reverse the arrangement?

And if you have an idea of process involved for someone to be bethroathed to another person let me know please (I'm talking about arranged marriage from years back without the knowledge of the party involved)

Please, if you have any experience to share about this, I'll be glad to hear and learn from it, this is very important to me please, thank you in advance.

You can also add a cover note to explain why you had to leave for the UK without urr kid and you now more than ready to be reunited..
. be original as u can.....u can even add that you are open to DNA test so they know she's urs......a mother shouldn't be hindered from her child because of some bunch of rules

One more advice...don't apply for administrative review...they will make u wait for forever to get a response....make a fresh application when u are ready ..

You don’t know the level of the father involvement in her life, the child in question is 9 years old, she is able to know her right and left. I can boldly tell you she doesn’t recognize her father, that's because he doesn’t care and he has never bn involve in her life

The ECO may likely be suspecting child trafficking ... Especially if u ddnt submit any proof enough proof the child is urs beyond a birth certificate and if the sole custody letter has a recent date.

...The success of this type of visa rest largely on making the eco feel 1)the child is urs, (2)the child is better with you in the UK, (3) the place she has been living or the conditions while u were away is no longer convenient.....

Someone with a case similar to yours two years back was able to get the visa approved on medical grounds.... but that was because the child is sickle cell and was able to argue the child is better off in the UK, and that the semi illiterate grand mother who has been caring for the child was not best suited for care in the long run...he added so many supporting documents including the evidence of repeated hospitalization of the kid...

I don't know how u want to argue yours...it's hard .....but not impossible.... Good luck

That's what I was trying to tell jústwise..the ECo has deceptively created a catch 22 out of that visa application......claimed sole custody is not enough, and asked for consent letter, which is also grounds for refusal when sole custody is in place..

As harsh as the refusal might sound but ECO was really digging in for the child’s welfare , the refusal is well detailed and the more you read it the more you understand more.

I read it.....and I still.maintain the eco was desperate for a refusal because a sole custody document was already enough for the mother to fly without the father consent....this is the standard.....

So bringing up sole responsibility grammar to nullify sole custody judgement of a court that already assessed the welfare of the child is dubious
