segebee:You won't see it because you don't know much about databases. Do you imagine that the images are just pasted there? Half knowledge is dangerous, try to learn before talking nonsense. God gave you 2 ears and 1 mouth so naturally you should listen more than you talk especially when you know nothing about what you are saying. |
The gang, una welldone oooo Spoiling for a fight? For where? |
astronp7:I am glad you understood my position, good luck. segebee:And what is this slowpoke talking about? I have responded to you narrowminded and silly remarks at https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-53247.0.html As to why I do not have my website on my signature, very simple, I removed it when I started receiving web project requests that I could not handle due to the volume and I also increased the prices of my services to scare away people. I am sure you will never get to a point in your lifetime where you can do the same. |
McKren:My friend, not only is Onovo from my state our families are even close. Infact when I called my younger brother who was in Abuja yesterday he told me he was in his office. So, do I need any further explanation as regards whether I should be concerned or not about the politics of Nigeria? When people like us complained that the Senators lost a golden opportunity to rememdy a lot of problems in our constitution by throwing away over 100 recommendations we were accused of supporting OBJ to get a 3rd term. Today we know better. Meanwhile, today we have 2 christians as the leader of both houses of assembly no one is shouting Yar'adua is favoring muslims. My dear, I really care less about people that look at everything through religous or ethnic prisms. So, as regards your statement in bold, what you infer is flat wrong so the conclusion based on the wrong premise will not attract any response. |
xtycod:Must you repeat what you hear your father call your mother all the time? Learn not to bring family issues to a discussion forum. |
McKren:I believe the president appointed someone he believes he can trust to work with. OBJ appointed Victor Malu as the Chief of Army Staff even when he had a lot of seniors in the army so this is not unusual. The key word here is appointment. |
Maybe he should have queried OBJ why he did not fire Ehindero and appoint Onovo while OBJ was in power. OBJ spent 8 years and no Igbo man was appointed IG yet Yar'adua has spent less than 2 weeks and we are being told that the Igbos have been excluded, wonderful. NB; I do not believe that everything should be turned into an ethnic affair even though it is a fact that the Igbos have been excluded for such a post because of premature retirements which ultimately guarantee that none will be qualified to get into the position in the first place. Funny enough, Onovo would have been retired some couple of years ago but for the dust raised by Ohaneze that it will take the Igbos some 10+years to get someone that may get to where he even got to today he would have been out of the police force today. Same thing happens in the army right from the selection process as regards the NDA. |
Ok. That was also the reason for getting into the discussion in the first place because setting up a complete website from scratch under 3 days is not a big deal for someone that knows what he/she is doing. I only put down the site to prove that indeed it can be done considering the fact that the site even took about 36hrs to build including image resizing and compression, database planning and setup, programming and the basic design that was implemented. |
And finally Mark emerged the Senate President. Good luck to him. |
Helep me ask the boy oooo. That is how they use lies to lay the foundation of their web design business and when it crumbles they begin to look for witches and uncles that are behind their failures. |
laudate:No wahala, the guy must have picked up that line while listening to his father addressing his mother that way. Na wetin unstable home dey cause. laudate:I am with you on this. What are the expectations of a SFG? |
Ace:It seems that you have effectively left out the reason for the question to begin to chase shadows. The issue here is time and if the only thing you have pointed out on the site is that the photo gallery does not have previous and next links on the full display and it has been clearly stated that the feature wouldn't take 3-5 minutes to implement and you are still hung on the question I asked then you are entirely on your own. Can one develop from scratch a website in 3 days? The answer to the simple question is yes and I am sure I have done so on more than 20 or 25 occassions. The issue is not a competition for web designers so you can take all the time in the world to look for flaws (according to you) even though I consider what you have pointed out to be features or functionalities that you may like and another person may not give a damn about. The point has been clearly made as regards the possibility or otherwise of developing a website under 3 days and that was the crux of the matter here. |
I-man:GBAM! The same position that many of us that are labelled anti-Jew have taken is being taken by one of the most ardent supporters of Israel. Maybe we have succeeded in knocking some senses into this man. For peace to reign in the middle east Israel must withdraw to the pre 1967 borders and a state of Palestine created, chikena. Na hia our position start come finish sef. You cannot have peace without justice, equity and fair play. |
Paying to stage manage a story is one thing, stating the obvious is yet another. I have lived and worked in places like Bonny, PH, Eket and Warri so I am aware of the happenings in the Niger Delta. Any foundation that is based on lies will ultimately crumble just as this one did. Is the hostage taking as a result of the neglect in the ND or is it a new business venture by some people that are armed? How many of the millions paid for releasing hostages have been used to build roads, schools or even buy food for the poor? Have you not heard that someone from Imo/Abia was arrested and he confessed to being part of a gang? Now, is that young man fighting for the development of the ND or is he running a "business"? Man, I don't need the media or corrupt politicians to think for me. And I agree with you completely that we are our own worst enemy because we like making patromizing statements that will bring us accolades as against stating things the way they really are for fear of being called names. |
Tornadoz:Na wah for you ooo, how you go ask person wey no understand the issue on ground to prove anything? You are on your own ooo. Take care and stay blessed. It seems you have some members of the Bush fan club around, handle them if you have time as they never post anything unless they see Israel, US, Iran, Muslims, Arab. Wetin happen to the religion section sef? Abi dem don dabaru the section? |
McKren:Haba, so Ufot's appointment was a mistake? Not aware of that. What were you expecting him to achieve in office? Maybe the answer to this question will help guide us as to the usefulness of otherwise of the man Ufot as the SFG. |
MAMAJAMA should be included in any list that has to do with ethnic hatred as I was shocked to read some of his very disgusting statements concerning the Igbos as a tribe. Hate the Igbos or love them, one thing you cannot do is for you to ignore them, never. |
ajadrage:Ask them ooo. Maybe Ufot was under 35years when he was appointed. We like applying the same standards differently depending on the target. |
@Tornadoz, It seems that you have become the latest teacher for this man that keeps turning logic on its head. I have decided to let him continue to showcase his skills to the world instead of pointing him to the right direction as he receives free education without even saying thank you. |
You have asked so many questions which in reality would have simplified your wahala if you knew the answers and as such you wouldn't need to be sick and surprised at some of the comments of the likes of Afam. On the contrary the likes of Afam should be the one sick and surprised at the level of ignorance some of you display here but we have chosen not to be sick, instead we have decided to knock you guys out of the brain washed state that the Western media has panel beaten your likes into. You need not agree with me that Zimbabwe is a beautiful country because I believe it was beautiful then, I don't know about now when the West has effectively conspired to turn Zimbabwe into what it is today because Mugabe stopped taking instructions from 10 Downing Street and the White House. |
Unfortunately, we even have Nigerians that have sold their souls to the US to the extent that anything the US does must be defended at all cost whether right or wrong. |
I-man:Hypocrisy at its highest point. What gives you the right to complain when you have done the same thing based on religion to insult the muslims and on race to insult the arabs? You can use 10 different user IDs on this forum you can never hide. Yesterday it was 4Play, now I-man, only God knows how many different IDs you have been using on a single forum. |
McKren:The statement in bold refers, I completely disagree with you that Nigeria is a failed nation so that may explain the reason why we see issues in Nigeria differently. Nigeria may have its unique problems and challenges but to label Nigeria a failed nation is not right in my opinion. |
firstborn:Use spell checker before posting your thoughts on a forum. Well, if the line of reasoning you are condemning ends up being the fact and the truth then I will rather continue in that line than reason like an idiot who will look stupid when all the conspiracy theories crumble. Facts and truth are always constant, cry if you want, commit suicide if it makes you cool but there is nothing anyone can do as regards facts and truth. Keep fooling yourself with your warped sense of reasoning. |
McKren:I will rather work with an old man that knows his stuff than trust a young man that is not up to speed with what he should know. Age is not an overiding criteria for deciding who will be more productive even in a typical work environment. Beyond the brand names and beautiful adverts we see on TV of big organisations are professors and technicians that are closer to 60 years in some cases bringing to the fore experience they gathered over the years. The statement in bold interests me a lot, I am glad you agree that Nigerians voted for Yar'adua in the last elections, never mind the likes of Buhari and Atiku that cannot manage electoral defeats. |
I believe it makes a lot of sense for you to own one yourself because people can trust you to design theirs. If you believe we need websites then as a web designer yourself you need it more than others. Just a sincere advice though as I never pay a service provider for something he/she does not use. |
dremoney:Please, tell the young man, he is used to making very very wrong statements based on non existent premises and defends same as facts. This is dangerous and should be condemned. Ask him to clarify his lies and he will disappear from the forum for the next 1 month and come back when people must have forgotten the lies. |
Here we go again. Yar'adua is picking people he believes he can work with and for the simple fact that he will either be blamed or praised for his failures or achievements respectively I believe that he should be given free hand to choose whoever he wants to choose for any post whatsoever. We talk about IBB and Abacha days as if only soldiers were in power. How many Nigerian politicians today would say they did not take part in any form whatsoever in government (regardless of the level) when IBB or Abacha was in power? Ultimately, God will guide Yar'adua the way He guided OBJ for eight years. Maybe those that keep praying that God should do this and that without anything happening will get to learn that God will only allow things He knows are best for Nigeria and not what we individually hope and pray for. Bottomline is that either God Has decided to ignore such prayers or that God decided to use people like OBJ to fulfill His plans for Nigeria and the same thing will happen to Yar'adua. |
Visit payboss.smeclub.net. Ask for Daniel Bassey if absolutely neccesary and tell him Afam sent you and you may even get the facility integrated for you at less than N50,000.00. Good luck. |
Funny enough when some of us sided with the Information Minister that the story was contrived many narrow minded beings on this forum called us names (as usual anyway) because the Western media can do no wrong. Today we know better. Even if Jeff was never fired quite a number of discerning minds know that you can only pay your way to get the type of hollywood movie Jeff produced for the world to see. I believe he will do well if he takes to movie production anyway. |
And why must Mugabe go? Because he has refused to do the bidding of the West or what? If Zimbabwe has the highest inflation rate in the world and everything isn't working in that country where is the opposition getting money from? They pick money from trees or get funds from the West that support them in the hope that when they win they will pay back the West by giving the lands and other resources back to the West? When did the West realize that Mugabe was a bad person? Until Bliar stepped in Zimbabwe was about the most beautiful place in Africa so what went wrong? Unfortunately, a lot of us have allowed the media to completely brainwash us to the point that we cannot even think without letting the media think for us. Someone stated that Mugabe is evil and yet will be willing to lay down his life for Bush that has killed more innocent people in the world today (maybe only Hilter is still leading Bush in this regard), such is the level that some have gone down to all in the name of using a discussion forum. |
