Nigerians are the most inconsistent human beings on planet earth. When the Senate does anything in favour of OBJ the Senate is rubbish but when it does something against his interests then the Senate is God sent. Atiku contesting the election is the most time wasting venture he will ever embark upon, after all he came a distant 3rd. I guess some hangers on are still deceiving him and making money for themselves while giving him hopeless hope. |
We do not need excuses, if your servers are the fastest you can get then you cannot expect websites on slow servers to come up much faster than websites hosted on your servers. Now, with this simple test have you seen why it does not make sense to brag about server speed? |
Bush was rigged into office and seems to the worst president ever rigged into office in the USA. He lies and lot and is responsible for countless killings of innocent people based on an illegitimate war in Iraq. He is a lame duck today and I wonder what or who adviced Yar'adua to even contemplate having a meeting with such a president. I believe this is a wrong start for Yar'adua, I am really disappointed he should focus on making Nigeria better and leave these presidents that are ready to sell Nigeria if they have the opportunity. |
It seems you are mixing up a lot of issues here. Combo is short for combination. I never knew there were combinations that forbid one from using the word combo. |
Was the site redesigned and if yes did the person forget to update the copyright info as it still reads 2005? |
The bragging is totally unnecessary because a server with fewer websites hosted on it will be much faster than a server with more websites hosted on it assuming the 2 servers have the same amount of bandwidth available for clients. Companies are busy making real money in the web hosting business and you guys are here bragging about hosting speeds. Ok, ask google or yahoo to switch to your servers and we will know your servers are really fast. |
Being able to pay with Interswitch ATM card is one thing, being able to accept the payment online is yet another. There is no smooth and cost friendly integration process for online merchants that may want to accept online payments using the ATM cards. If all you need is the ability to pay in Naira then it may be faster for you to pay in the money into a bank account and have the domain name registered immediately. |
Just noticed this thread has been taken to the Religion section so it is bye bye as I never visit the religion section due to the sensitivity of the issues raised. Make una carry go. |
kdships:Initially you stated that CD/DVD RW combo does not exist, now it has been shown that it does you are beating around the bush. You are the one complicating issues in your head because what has been put down here is clear to everyone. Again, you seem not to understand the meaning of the word combo, it is short for combination. CD/DVD RW combo is a reality and if you cannot swallow this fact take a cold beer to relax. Whether you agree with an issue or not, the correctness of that issue will remain intact and unshakeable. |
You may safely add Maradona to your name. Goodluck. |
Education they say does not equal knowledge and one does not need to look further to agree completely with the saying. You need not take out your frustrations on people, tackle your problems and fears. Your denials are well noted but very very unconvincing. If you have any reasonable thing to state on the issue feel free but if the only thing that comes from your warped sense of reasoning is attacking personalities why don't you ignore the post and learn what you have demonstrated you do not understand? |
Ikomi:Hi Ikomi, Thanks. I have learnt to ignore people that find it difficult to look at issues objectively and when faced with frustration in trying to make a point resort to attacking personalities instead of the issues on board. To your question, as hard and as unfortunate as it seems the answer is that the student will either abide by the sharia code or go to school elsewhere and that is because the constitution has not been able to sort out all conflicting issues not because it is right or it is ideal. davidylan:Until our law makers do what they need to do in the area of remedying conflicting issues in our constitution we will continue to see things like these. OBJ would have done more towards this regard even though I will still blame the law makers at both houses of assembly for throwing away a golden opportunity to correct some if not many of the mistakes in our constitution. @Mckren, Do not confuse issues, no one is calling you a hater for defending the rights of the christian minority in Kano state, that is like seeking cheap sympathy. If you fit the label of a hater then know that you have knowingly or unknowingly been spreading hate ideologies towards the muslims as a whole even when single individuals have taken some actions that can be narrowed down to them. You amuse me with your anomaly theory, if you sincerely believe in what you have put down then who do you blame when people in position of authority apply or defend such actions that you consider anomalies and the law makers at the federal level keep quiet? It seems you are speaking from both sides of the mouth here. I repeat, freedom of expression does not give any Nigerian the right to do what he/she wants in any part of the country regardless of the laws being put in place in those places. Even in our villages, there are laws and customs that are very inconsistent with the fundamental human rights you claim the constitution provides. Go to some Yoruba speaking states and come out to do what you want during the Eyo (I hope that's the correct name) festival and claim that the constitution provides a cover for you. In reality, we tend to confuse issues when we do not understand them instead of doing what is right and learning more on any issues we may want to discuss. |
kdships:As regards the lying I am refering to you and Seun. I have always supported Freelance because his claim has been substantiated even on Dell website for the same model. Read through my post before this and see the content in bold to comprehend my point. Freelance has been right all along. The laptop model has a CD/DVD Burner which you claimed never existed. Try to be sure of whatever thing you say because you may just turn out to be 100% wrong. |
davidylan:I think there are a lot of issues that our law makers need to clarify in that constitution especially controversial ones. If a state implements sharia and they maintain that sharia will only affect muslims how can we imagine a scenario where sharia prohibits indecent dressing for the muslim women and at the same time non muslim women are allowed to walk around with breasts almost popping out of their tops and mini skirts just because the sharia has nothing to do with them? How can such a scenario play out in reality. Again, looking at the issue without the simplistic and hate ideology will do more good than harm. |
If Pedro has indeed resigned then what Tinubu did is pure hypocrisy. He could not tolerate a disloyal deputy but accuses OBJ of not tolerating Atiku that became a flag bearer of an opposition party and went on an all out attack on OBJ and PDP. Nigerians like to comment on other peoples issues and offer advice but they never like people talking about their issues nor do they ever agree that they need advice. This is a clear case of pot calling kettle black. |
If you tell a single lie you will need a thousand more to cover it. From the Dell website it is clearly stated that the second option of the same model comes with CD/DVD Burner Stgop the lies and live a good life gentlemen. @all the hate filled beings here, You guys must be slowly dying from hatred you have for anything Islam or the North and it is showing but stinking to high heavens. It is even the more worrisome when you notice that there are people here that never ever make any reasonable comment on issues and the only time you read their hate filled posts is when the issue has anything to do with religion or islam. If what Afam thinks or states here really gives you people worries then it may be that the truth is bitter but funny enough whenever I come across comments that don't make sense I ignore them or trash them and I hope you guys learn to do the same. Trying to turn threads that are raising issues into a referendum on individuals is usually the way out for people that are incapable of making their points without resorting to attacking individuals. No one should or can be held responsible for frustrations some of you feel when you are faced with comments you cannot readily agree with. Everyday I am faced with 2 choices - to be happy or to be sad, I usually choose to be happy. Sadness or hatred will only consume you people gradually but surely. +++++++++++ Three things in life that, once gone, never come back 1. Time 2. Words 3. What law makers are you talking about? The law makers that support the law or the law makers of other states? Are you saying you are ready to wine and dine with someone you despise as long as you benefit from the person one way or the other? |
MAMAJAMA:Yes, we practice democracy so if the state house of assembly passes a law supporting this it becomes law (if it has not become one already). If their senators agree with the directive will you allow the matter to rest considering the fact that those elected to represent them are in agreement with the law? I do not agree that people are disgusted with muslim nations but I will agree that christain fanatics and fundamentalists are. People (including christains) go to Dubai everyday to buy stuff, the West is ready to kill to do business with Saudi Arabia as regards crude oil, the West is ready to go to war (remember Iraq) to benefit from Iraqi wealth. I believe that those who abuse the muslim nations on one hand and are ready to do business with them for their selfish reasons are the ones that are hypocrites. |
Yar'adua did well in the area of agriculture (real impact with the masses), education, was not corrupt, returned a budget surplus of N6.5B when other governors are squandering funds, I learnt he lived a normal life without the heavy security and flambouyancy being attributed to other governors, heard he lived in his own house against living in the state house. Have we seen such humility, simplicity and transparency before in Nigeria? And yet some people come here to cast aspersions on someone even his political opponents (including Buhari that comes from the same state) could not point out a single fault other than OBJ selected him, what rubbish. As for the thread starter, he had the illusion that Atiku was going to win the last election based on what AC was feeding him so it is not surprising that he had started a mudslinging excercise on an innocent man. |
It seems religous fanatism and fundamentalism is on the rise (especially with the christains) without them realising it. We may be worse than those we criticize everyday. If peace can be achieved when the issue of land occupation is trashed out and up till today Israel is pushing that major issue into oblivion then it makes sense to agree with the writer that Israel does not want peace. The good thing about truth is that no matter how long it takes it will come out in full force and stare everyone in the face. Those of us that were called names right from the first day Bush entered Iraq because we knew he was lying through his teeth have been vindicated while those that were completely fooled by the lies coming from the Bush administration hid their faces in shame when the issues became clearer. Pride they say goes before fall. We are waiting. |
@Mckren, Since you have tactfully avoided the simple questions that would have helped clrify the issues continue with your line of logic and let Afam be. @angel101, Don't lose sleep over my comments, treat them as irrelevant if you don't like them. I am not here to prove a point or make a point, I comment on topics that I like and if you are unable to understand anything don't take it personal, learn to face the issues on ground. |
The poster's intentions may be to show that countries that practice islam are retrogressive and the woman does not have a place, hence her questions especially the last one. Unfortunately for people that think in this same line we have more than one example to trash the erronous mindset. |
TayoD:Learn to speak for yourself not others. That you are influenced by anything doesn't mean anyone else is. Also force yourself to carefully choose your words when addressing people because from experience you are always the first to start complaining when people reply to your posts in kind. @The PH pig, Since we must come down to an elementary level for you to understand anything ask the person that stated that I had praised Osama bin Laden to reproduce anywhere I did so. A liar is someone that lies and I have called him one because he stated a lot of lies but I have only stated one. Until you are able to discuss issues and leave out personalities you will remain a confused human being. |
The largest muslim nation in the world Indonesia had a female as its president (Megawati Soekarnoputri). I also believe there are others I cannot recall now. |
Please, answer the questions. I have not equated not wearing the hijab to prostitution, I am talking of prostitution proper here. Again, answer these simple questions so we can be more realistic. We accuse the elite of confusing or deceiving the masses but it seems that even some of us are following the same path. Does the Nigerian constitution guarantee the right of a woman to practice prostitution in any part of the country she likes even if sharia is implemented in states she may be willing to ply her trade in? Answer this question. It is a simple and straight forward one. |
Seun:Which is easier to do? To accept your mistake, make amends and move on or to attempt to beat around the bush? You made an obvious mistake and your continual denial is making things more difficult for you to explain. If you have not seen the laptop how can you state that it does not have the combo as advertised? @Freelance, You are welcome. Take care. |
@Mckren, Let us come home to realities so we can understand the issues better, enough of the grammar. Are you saying that any Nigerian is guaranteed the right to practice prositution in a state that has agreed to implement sharia simply because as a non muslim sharia code of conduct cannot affect the woman? Are you saying that it is right for non muslims living in the Northern states where sharia has been introduced are free to setup brothels and night clubs simply because they are non muslims and as such sharia does not have any effects on whatever they choose to do in those states? Please, provide answers to these 2 questions so we can appreciate the validity or otherwise of the position of the constitution on this very important issue. |
Chidichris, It seems you lack home training as you tell lies without thinking twice, do you have any shame at all? Do you really think before you post anything? You are always incoherent, I doubt if you even understand your own posts. I am not a crowd follower, I am an independent thinker so the rubbish being posted by chidichris about Afam supporting those that other hate or praising those others condemn is a thinking that only comes from a mentally retarded human being. As for the PH person analysing my posts on islamic related issues I wish to let him/her know that I am not a brainwashed human being and I do not believe in the ideology of if you cannot beat them join them. I am a practicing christain without any plans to embrace islam, I stick with the facts, truth and look at issues objectively, I offer no apologies for the inability of some of us to comprehend even simple issues. Before we deviate way too much I must remind the 2 posters that their style of avoiding issues completely and choosing to focus on personalities is a style that is dead, ineffective and shows complete lack of intelligence. Trash the issues raised by the Israeli journalist and leave Afam out of it unless as they say the idle mind likes to discuss people rather than issues. I am sick and tired of reading from these religous bigots that preach one thing and do another, hypocrites. |
This man was born in Israel and has worked with a former prime minister. The article was not about the politics in the Arab world but the reality in the way Israel has been handling the issue especially the way it keeps talking about peace without talking about the fundamental issue in the conflict - occupation abi na real estate as the man put am for the article. |
Let me be point blank here, I also blame web hosting firms that slice up web hosting packages to the minutest space just to get clients. Why create plans that a client will almost always overshoot every 1 or 2 weeks? http://www.just+web+services.com/webhostingarticle.html (remove the + sign as Seun has changed the site address to example) is an article written some years ago and even used by foreign firms on their websites to demonstrate to their clients that it does not make sense to look for hosting packages that will disappoint them. |
Seun:I have better things to do than to disagree with you. The CD RW/DVD combo was stated by me to demonstrate to you that the use of the word combo has been in place even as at 5 years ago. The RW is clearly stated in the CD part and not the DVD part so I don't know where you got the idea that anyone is telling you that a CD RW/DVD combo can write DVDs. Just admit your mistake and move on, it will only make you a better person because no one is perfect. Afam:I am sure the quote above clearly shows you where the issue of CD RW/DVD combo came in. Don't confuse it with freelance's post which has been reproduced below for emphasis sake. freelance:Again a CD/DVD RW combo can write DVDs anyday. Combo is short for combination. |
