A website can be developed for free, for N4,000.00 or for even over a million naira depending on whether the owner is your friend, an NGO kind of thing or a big organisation respectively. Afterall, we have seen very good websites that didn't cost a fortune just as we have seen very bad ones costing so much money. Put differently, the cost does not directly impact on the quality as some of us may wrongly assume. Microsoft products are expensive whereas Open Source products are free yet in terms of reliability, flexibility and acceptability the world is increasing going the way of open source. If you can design a very good website for N4,000.00 please tell me I will give you projects to do as long as they are done well. |
The issue of impersonation is not new to the man MAMAJAMA/ODEKU because even on nairaland he is using different usernames to hide and write nonsense. Na so hin life be so whether for US ooo or for discussion forum oo na the same thing, impersonation. |
I-man:My case is simple. I do not insult people but WILL always respond to insults in kind. The liar can lie, he can use multiple usernames like I-man, 4Play etc for all I care. |
I-man:At least I do not hide under different usernames on a public forum. Meanwhile, are you denying that there were no rigging (2) in the US in 5 years? It seems that I am giving you a reason to post here after losing any form of credibility you had left when your cover (multiple usernames) was blown. Get real. |
@I-man/4Play, Get one thing straight, you don't think for me and you don't direct me to think or write in a particular way. I am not easily manipulated like you. Do you have a problem with what I have stated? If yes, post your comment and stop asking me to comment or condemn something as you have no right to do so. |
@nduaj, Personal language is usually different from team language and you should remember that people don't just read other people's minds so it is your duty to be as clear as possible especially when making your points on a public forum like this one. As regards the forum proper, anything that is not arranged online will be difficult for me to participate in due to time. Good luck. |
initiator:It takes a bigger bozo to know a bozo. Meanwhile it will do you good to understand posts before commenting on them. If you understood my post then you would not have come to the conclusion you reach because my post was to point out that while the Nigerian living in the US believes that it is only in Nigeria that electoral fraud will happen and a war will not break out I pointed out a fact that US saw 2 rigged elections under 5 years and nothing happened. If this is too much to understand then go to the Jokes section |
chidichris:Can someone tell this man to stop addressing Afam with his incoherent statements? This forum is not a substitute for real education and this man should know so. |
McKren:Comparing MAMAJAMA to BigB1 is insulting. BigB1 at least agreed that IBB was corrupt and that he stole money even though he keeps supporting him and he writes well. On the otherhand in MAMAJAMA we see someone that is ready to dine with the devil if the price is right and yet will have the audacity to talk about making Nigeria a better place. We need to watch out before he dumps the name MAMAJAMA as he dumped ODEKU and begin to use another name. That is the problem with Nigeria, people will praise criminals as long as the benefit from them or if they are related. |
@I-man/4Play, Stop beating around the bus, ok respond to the comments by oboatioko and Mckren for a change as they are even being mild in their posts which people like you that believe everything in Nigeria is bad don't deserve. |
What exactly is your point? Do you take time to understand posts before hitting the reply button ?? |
Yar'adua. Did someone put Utomi's name here? Maybe if the election was conducted on Youtube and Patito's Gang. |
@I-man/4Play, My mistake, I meant 2000 afterall Bush did not stand for any election in 2006 so I wonder why the typo was not seen as one. The year 2000. Now that the year has been corrected can you now comment on it or is it only to dwell on non issues that you enjoy doing? |
davidylan:Since you are based in the US, can you state why the US accepted the fraud that brought in George Bush in 2006 or is it only when the issue concerns Nigeria that your wisdom comes into play? |
@Tornadoz, You really get plenty energy. These people do not have a mind of their own, they are totally and irredeemably brainwashed and are just religous bigots. And you only get to see them converge on issues that have to do with Arab, Israel, US, muslims. Enjoy |
redsun:Tell them. The man is being condemned for attempting to right the wrong done by the whites that killed and seized the lands of Africans. If it takes a man of 100 years to achieve this great feat then so be it. The issue here is the injustices he is trying to address not the opposition being supported by extremist whites in Australia that killed and equally seized the lands of the original inhabitants of the Australia (aborigins). |
@nduaj, Your post is just less than 3 days and you are assuming that some may not want to join because they feel they are larger than life. What if some people that visit this section have not been to nairaland for 1 week? Your comment is uncalled for and it is such comments that kill the spirit of a team even before it takes off. You can neither insult the sensibilities of people nor cajole people into coming together to form a group. The humility you talk about should begin with you as you sound arrogant in your last post, boasting that you are a top grader in this web development thing and that some people are not half as good as some of you is certainly not the way to go. Goodluck. |
Na wah ooo. The poster of this thread is simply being wrong and arrogant at the same time. I am not in the business of advertising websites of my clients even when some have confidentiality issues that won't even allow you have your company name in the footer area. Well, as to the usability and usefullness of a website let me even provide a link to my pet project (no money was paid for the site apart from the hosting fees since I uploaded it last month). The website www.afamite.com may be sold if I won't find time to manage it but the major reason for setting the site up is to provide a single platform where Nigerians can complete certain tasks and basically all the services on that site will be free to use. And every single code on that site was developed from scratch for the different modules and more will be added as time permits. As to www.ITNeswAfrica.com the poster provided I dare say that the links on the left are too difficult to see because the colors are too close to the background color and this is harsh to the eyes and not a good idea of an ideal website. And the pictures in the recent photos section are simply linked to the current page, what's the meaning of that? If they don't link to pages then remove the blank links. So, while it can be argued that we have bad web projects out there (and this is not limited to Nigeria anyway) it is very wrong for the poster to make the categorical statement he made. And as my2cents noted, one man's meat is another man's poison that is why a site like google chose to maintain the simplest design on planet earth by having just a logo, footer and a search engine because it decided to focus on making it easy for visitors to accomplish tasks on the website. They could hire the best web designers in the world and even have an elephant say good morning to you once you visit but is this the main reason for setting up a website? Any website that is not task focused will not last the test of time, simple. |
meetgiwa:Do you want someone to develop one for you or do you want to learn how to do it yourself? A web project was setup to provide building blocks for different applications at www.afamite.com See www.afamite.com/news or www.afamite.com/myview to see how a simple news submission feature has been implemented. If, on the other hand you need to learn how to do it yourself you may go through some tutorials online and practice yourself. Better still, get an open source script and look at the code so as to get a real understanding of what is going on there. NB: Never pay someone for a web project until you see projects carried out by the person as everyone claims to be n expert these days and you may never get to know until money must have changed hands and in most cases it will be too late. |
MAMAJAMA:Morals and integrity? In your dreams. You will never change your name? I thought you used to use ODEKU before, now it is MAMAJAMA. Meanwhile everyday you expose your stupidty, the same person that has been condemning the likes of IBB, Atiku and co is here defending a common criminal that has been fingered for owning stolen millions of naira. You have no shame and only God knows if you are a fraudster in the US or you take care of dead bodies in one morgue in the US. |
@MAMAJAMA, That someone who regularly contributes on this forum should have such a disgusting opinion about a tribe is really shameful and unfortunate. What right do you have to judge a whole tribe based on the actions of a few (assuming you have had real experiences with the Igbos before)? If you are married then I really pity your children because I am sure you will still sow this seed of hatred in them and they will continue from where you left off. I will not be surprised too if your parents were responsible for sowing the seed of hatred that has fully germinated in you. Concerning your reference to the Igbos as a tribe presenting a decent candidate for the presidency only a big fool will say he/she does not understand the compromise that sent the presidency to the South West in 1999 and the need for power rotation that took the presidency back to the North in 2007. Funny enough, we see people who don't even know their right from their left discussing national issues with half baked knowledge. Shame on you with your hatred towards a people, you are simply a waste of orgasm. |
initiator:The statement in bold refers, you call Iraq a mistake? A mistake that has sent countless number of people to their early graves and people continue to die everyday based on the lies of Bush? If you are ready to dismiss Iraq as a mistake by Bush then you do not have to complain about any hardline leader like the president of Iran, atleast he is saying his mind and may one day claim to have made a mistake if he attacks any country even with nuclear weapon. Or, are you saying that the type of mistake Bush did (personally it was not a mistake anyway) is ok as long as the lives being lost are arabs? About 3000 people died on 9/11, how many people have Bush killed since then? US has lost more than 3000 soldiers in Iraq based on the same 'mistake'. Abeg, make I go chop, mistake ko, mistake ni. |
Nobody needs to argue with anyone as regards the Igbo villages that were mischieviously given to Rivers state just to reduce the number of oil wells that may be located in the heart of Igbo land. Just like the Ikwerres started attaching R to their names to sound different from who they really are with places like Umuodara, Umuibekwe, Umukurushi becoming Rumuodara, Rumuibekwe, Rumukurushi. When you ask someone his name and he says Emeka Okeke and he speaks only Igbo what do you do when the same person is saying he is not Igbo? Identity crisis. |
Tony Blair being used as an example is even bad because the way he bought the lies of Bush as regards the illegal Invasion of Iraq was very shameful. He is leaving office worse than he came in but OBJ opposed the war from day 1 so being younger is not usually an advantage especially as regards governance. |
MAMAJAMA:@MAMAJAMA, You have been unable to hide your disdain for the Igbos on this forum and it is a shame that someone like you can be so silly. But the reality is this; you cannot compete with the average Igbo man (atleast considering the level of intelligence you show here). And to the rest of the Igbo haters, read this; LOVE THE IGBOS OR HATE THEM, YOU CAN NEVER IGNORE THEM, NEVER |
@My2cents, Concentrate on your pet project and leave people that believe that the fastest way to become relevant is to run other people's projects down. Focus on your works and let them be if you can (for me I always put them where they belong) |
Nigerians to begin with are ready to accept all sorts of nonsense just because they want to keep their jobs including being used against their fellow Nigerians by the foreigners. Unfortunately, they realize very late when they will be at the receiving end of the dirty game. Companies (irrespective of the owners) should be allowed to hire workers with preference for non Nigerians as long as such companies are in Nigeria. The arguement that an Indian company reserves the right to hire only Indians if it so wishes is pure rubbish. In anycase, it is no news that Nigeria as a country is not in the habit of protecting the rights of its citizens so these foreigners really do not have serious policies that they need to be afraid of. Instead of the NLC to wage a serious campaign in this regard they keep waiting for the government to increase fuel price before they remember they are still in existence. |
naijaking1:So, Onovo was complaining to all who cared to listen? Interesting. Where did you get that from? naijaking1:And he appointed a lot of Igbos into his administration, what a way to continue the Biafra war. With this line of reasoning tomorrow we will hear that Yar'adua as a muslim hates christians even when christains occupy no 2, 3 and 4 positions today and the new IG a christain too. When will we learn to be sincere in our criticisms? naijaking1:Civil war? You be member of AC? ![]() |
@I-man/4play, It is better to respond to insults than to initiate them and it is even more dignifying for one to respond to insults using his known user ID than for one to be hiding under different screen names. @Davidylan, I won't cry if I get banned but any dog that insults me will be insulted without any waste of time. If those that start to insult others cannot be banned then it makes no sense to ban those who respond in kind and that is what I will continue to do. |
chidichris:Now, I can tolerate your narrowmindedness and your lies but I don't think I will tolerate your criminal attempt to twist what I put down here. I will certainly not warn you again, insult me for all you care but when you deliberately choose to twist clear statements I make on this forum to serve your selfish and criminal interest believe me all options will be on the table as far as you are concerned and I will not look back. If you did not understand my post, ask someone to explain to you but I will certainly not excuse your stupidity because you can not hold anyone responsible for being stupid. |
This dog called chidichris never ceases to amaze me. Can't someone take it upon himself to brush this man up? He is the most narrow minded pig on this forum. Funny enough the same animal that freely insult others will be the first to complain when his insults are responded to in kind. Unlike the unrepentant liar, I make bold to state that I have never insulted anyone while making my point on this forum but I have always (and will continue to do so) responded to insults in kind, no apologies. So, chidichris the dog, stop lying or take otapiapia to cool off, you are just a complete slowpoke. |
I guess many people prefer to play the blame game and when things get out of hand they start complaining. 6 years after 9/11 Bin Laden is still alive yet Iraq is in utter chaos with a lot of innocent lives lost due to the lies of Bush and his handbag Blair. 15 out of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia yet Iraq that had nothing to do with the 9/11 issue must burn because we have a lying president in the White House and unfortunately many brainwashed and clueless Nigerians are defending this man even when his own people do not approve of him. It seems that the only language the US understands is the type from North Korea and Iran, I guess Iraq would have been stable today if it had successfully developed a nuclear program just like Israel, india and Pakistan (the 3 of them interestingly refused to sign the NPT so they are free to develop nuclear weapons every day without any wahala). |
