Where do you think would have been a better location in the Sou East when you put accessibility of other Nigerian population in consideration.
How does Nsukka have accessibility to other Nigerian population compared to other places?
Politics / Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Afam4eva(m): 7:03am On Sep 18
Localemperor:
Yes Maybe, anything could be the reason. But as it's stands I'm yet to see suitable location for the project in the South East.
Nsukka is a good location but there's nothing special about the location for a university. It could have been cited anywhere.
Politics / Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Afam4eva(m): 6:55am On Sep 18
Localemperor:

When Zik was citing UNN, he put into consideration that UNN was the first indigenous University in Nigeria and needed to be accessible by all Nigerians. that was why Nsukka was used. Nsukka is more accessible to Nigerians when compared to Onitsha. If the University must be situated in the South East, then Nsukka is the only suitable location. Onitsha is down south, Aba is down south, Nsukka is the only location that allows the project to remain in the South East and also accessible to Nigerians.

There is a reason it is called University of Nigeria and not University of Eastern Nigeria.
Or maybe it's as simple as because his mother was from nsukka,

Please help.
I am a member of Winners Chapel in case you have a winner member you can refer me to.

Thanks and God bless.

I slept in a hotel yesterday for 15k cefas and thats like 40 or 45k naira a night and I dont want to repeat same thing tonight. Im managing fund.

Look for an AirBnB in somewhere like Keur Massa or anywhere outside Dakar city proper. You can get apartment for cheaper.

Btw, do you intend to fly to Cape Verde?

I can recall the last protests/riots in UK. When the dust cleared, the UK government said they will be going after protesters who rioted and those who nudged them on online on social media.

Governments around the world are beginning to look beyond those who join a riot or those who vandalize, theu are looking at those who provided tactical support, those who donated and those who encouraged them.

This man is being considered such and as much as he might be innocent, he will have to show that he did not do anything to encourage the protests which turned into rioting, looting and vandalization
What have we become as a people that we support any nonsense by the government by trying to rationalize it. What is wrong in calling for protests and protesting. Government should specifically go for people who call and participated in destruction and looting. And when did these acts become terrorism. What exactly is going on?

Osimhen doesn't seem to have good advisers. He could have taken the Chelsea offer and build from there. With the way this is going, he might be forgotten in 4 years
Galatasaray is a better prospect than Chelsea.

Culture / Re: Enugu Government Disowns Adebayo As Oba Of Yoruba Community by Afam4eva(m): 8:27am On Aug 25
Let me just help the ignorant ones to explain what the article is saying,

Enugu state government is distancing itself from the claim that they endorsed the man as the Oba of the Yoruba community.

They're not in anyway against an Oba of the Yoruba community in Enugu but have not endorsed anyone for the position.

I hope that explains it.

Culture / Re: Precolonial View Of Tribes And Languages: The "Delta Igbo" Debate by Afam4eva(m): 9:08pm On Aug 16
RedboneSmith:

If you consider that Efik, Ibibio and Annang are close enough that many will consider them to be a dialect continuum, or that Urhobo and Isoko of the Southern Edoid branch also share similar closeness and are also on a continuum, or that the Itsekiri is quite simply the Southeastern extention of Yoruba, and is still mutually intelligible with many Yoruba dialects of Ondo State.... If you consider all these, then you'll appreciate that the Igbo/Igboid tribes are not the only ones who don't necessarily follow that template.
My bad actually. I think it might be a problem with tribes in the old eastern/delta region.

clefstone:
Again, I agree with you and I alluded to that in my original post where I wrote that all major Nigerian ethnic groups are inhomogeneous.

Another question for you: is it possible to be an Igbo speaking tribe and not be Igbo?(Igbo defined as an ethnic group today)
it will be a hard sell because how ethnic groups are defined in Today's Nigeria is straight forward and it's consistent in a lot of groups. The only group that doesn't seem to necessary follow this template are the Igboid/Igboid tribes.

I remember years ago where you said you have no problem being in an ethnic group with the Igbos. You even suggest a new name for "Bia" speaking people. Your problem then was that you didn't want to be called IGBO.

Is that still your thought process or has it changed?

Enugu Transportation Project is going to be the best in this country.

Phase 1
A central Terminal at Holy Ghost.
Sub Terminals at Gariki, Abakpa and Nsukka.
50 CNG BRT Bus in Enugu.
Enugu International Airport Terminal.
Enugu Cargo Terminal

Does he plan un building a new one or upgrading the existing one. If he's building a new one and it's going to look like the warehouses in the name of airport that i've been seeing, then he shouldn't bother.

I've always said that you will know how well an Enugu Governor is doing by how busy this thread becomes. This thread was comatose during Ugwuanyi's tenure but it seems that things are looking up.

it seems to be that Mbah won't be a failure like Ugwuanyi and i'm watching keenly to see if he will achieve most of the things he said he will do.

I've not been in Enugu since he became governor but would like to know if what people say about the quality of roads that he's building are true?

My husband and I both live in the uk and we join all our money and investments together, all the properties my husband acquired in Nigeria doesn’t have my name on it, at first I wasn’t bothered but now i am bothered because his family is chaotic. I started asking for my name to be included and i am not ok with the response am getting. I feel i am just working and I have nothing in my name. I love him but I don’t trust his family. Should i keep insisting or start my investment separately. I am just confused angry
The mistake you made is that you people didn't make the decision to include both your names in the document, so I don't think your husband was wrong in not including your name. Asking him to include your name now can cause issues in your marriage not because you're wrong in asking but because it may be seen as you not trusting your husband. I'll say you should leave things as they are except, god forbid, your husband has a terminal illness but if he's hale and hearty I think you should leave things as they are.

There's no magic wand to make her come out of depression. All you havw to do is to know the things that she loves or has been her heart desires and make them a reality. Her heart desires could be her children turning out right and succeeding. So, you as her children should try to make that her reality and most importantly, always tell her about your achievements no matter how small.

They have market days like the igbos.
isn't Ikwerre local government where you have Isiokpo? Those are the ones that speak like Imo people. Their Igbo is so clear compared to those in Obio Akpo.

Ikwerre is different from Etche.
Etche is related to Omuma whereas no relation to Ikwerre.
I never implied that Ikwerre and Etche were the same. They are two Igboid group and while Ikwerre disclaims the Igbo umbrella, it tries to sort of put it on etche when they're almost infact in the same ship.

While I agree, I think it's totally politically distinct and I think Ikwerre is too far gone to be classed as those other groups you mentioned.
