Why does it look like a hotel?

I was kinda anticipating this scoreline. If we cannot keep clean sheets against the likes of Granada and Bilbao, is it now PSG that won't score? This Barca team will concede against Akwa United. Saying the defense line is pathetic is an understatement. After watching this match, you would think PSG are that good. No, Barca were just very bad, especially defensively.

If the Barca board must salvage anything from this team, let them by 4 brand new established and young defenders to fill the center back, right wing, left wing as well as the defensive midfield position because the players currently occupying those positions are finished. I don't want to ever see Umiti don a Barca jersey again. If he was in this match, it would have been 8-1. Pique, Lenglet and Busquets are also past their prime.

The midfield is also a cause for worry. How is it that a player like Messi can hardly get an assist from the so called midfielders. That's why we need midfielders or wingers that can take on defenders. Messi can't do it alone.

I ask again, how close is that Anambra Cargo Airport to Onitsha. I hope it's very close. We Igbos need to do away with our clannish attitude and begin to think big. We need to built great cities and to do that, if possible, that Airport should be renamed Onitsha International Airport and all the areas between current Onitsha area to the airport should be grouped under Onitsha metropolitan area. We need to expand Onitsha beyond it's original limits in order to compete favourably.

Agbani Road is an okay place to live, nothing spectacular though and it cannot be compared to Independence Layout. The good thing is that rent is cheaper there.

Uzodimma sacks Imo Concorde management

Not satisfied by their performance, Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has dissolved the Interim Management Committee (IMC), of the Imo Concorde Hotel, Owerri.

In a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), J. O. Njoku made available to The Guardian yesterday, the governor, also appointed Ngozi Nwaizu, as the General Manager of the five – star state’s hospitality outfit.

Imo Concorde Hotel was established during the administration of the late Sam Mbakwe, about 40 years ago.

During the military administration, it suffered low patronage, leading to its dwindling revenue. It was later privatised.

Between 1998 and 1998, just on the onset of the Achike Udenwa administration, over N300 million was injected into it to resuscitate it.

Since then, the lifeline by the state government to the hotel has reduced.

What is so difficult in managing a hotel that this concorde hotel cannot be properly managed. They should just hand it over to the Protea group so that it can be properly managed and leave outall these career politicians.

This is Igbide history. They are Edoid (Isoko) speakers today. They originated from Igbo land and settled amongst Isoko people who assimilated them as Isoko speakers. They no longer speak Igbo language or bear Igbo names. And you don't see Igbos claiming them, because we understand what acculturation and assimilation means.
