Religion started off as a tool of manipulation,after christ died his real disciples and followers were hunted,killed and oppressed as his followers are seen as rebels.

After centuries and the Romans realised they can't stop the christian movement(true christ-like character), they used manipulation-they started the Roman Catholic church, as the only official recognised church for Christians. Now the bad thing about this arrangement is they did it as a means of control-and of course its better and cheaper than hunting down Christ followers and by doing this they feel everyone will be carried along,and it very well has worked to their plan. They installed a pope that takes orders from the Roman authorities,hence the church started off as a political tool,not necessarily to help man gain salvation.

African Nations especially Nigerians carry religion a foriegn man's plan for head-this is the cause of our problems,we ought to take the good things of everything and throw away the bad.

Our laws are weak,and our institutions need to be strenghtened...we are just a bunch of religious hypocrites just looking for money,wine and p-ssy,we are not using our brains,still living in the past.

Let us put on our wisdom cap on this intellectual voyage. It is a known fact that change is the only permanent thing in life. Therefore any religion that does not evolve with time, any religion that is not dynamic with changing times, people, generations, development, technology and better information will have a serious clash of beliefs and or disbeliefs. There must be development and dynamism even in the belief systems of whatever religion one practises. That is why to reflect and accommodate these emerging changes and enlightenment there are old and new testaments in the Bible. With these emerging knowledge and facts, some religions need to re-write their holy books to reflect the facts available in this present generation. I have a Koran with me here, it has to be re-written to reflect dynamism and plurality in our present world. A lot of Muslims are misunderstanding their holy writings and so there should be another writings to accommodate the present knowledge and emerged realities. Take a look at the countries engulfed in terrorism vis-a-vis their religion, then your guess is as good as mine. They kill innocents even in the name of God. Yet they think they are doing God a favour. In some cases, a Muslim is afraid of a fellow Muslim because of misinterpretation and wrong applications of dictates of their holy injunctions. If Islam is a religion of peace; then Muslims must rise to make it look as one. Merely saying it is a religion of peace is one thing, but non-adherents actually seeing it as such is yet a different thing. Trees are known by their fruits. Do not misunderstand me, I have dealt with and seen a lot of good Muslims world over. I know and have and still meeting with a good number of Muslims. However, you must rise up to do more damage control measures to reflect the light that is therein in your religion. These bombers and terrorist world over are portraying your religion in a very bad light and so don’t just sit idly by and do nothing. Thanks.
