If they can be subdued then we don't need to be talking of cease-fire.

We must not give them the option of determining our peace and fredom, this is something we must take with full force.

This politics being played in Nigeria is quite sickening...the people are always willing tools, trapped by poverty and nepotism they become weak.
PoliticsRe: Mutiny: Army Bars Journalists From Soldiers Trial by Afroconnect: 7:08am On Oct 17, 2014
Pls the Nigerian military must never bow to the myopic sense of reasoning of our media and oposition.

What is wrong with these media men, don't they understand that the role of the military is different.

The military is a set of men and women trained to killour enemies-their mindset and type of work is different. In every nation of the world the military will only release information that willl not be inimical to National security and stability.

It is imperative that we don't share information out carelessly at these critical hour, especially when we know that the enemy has sympathizers among members of the public.

You never hear in any Nation such harrassment by the media, why are Nigerian media men so hungry?
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Human Rights Community Storm Lagos In Protest (IMAGES) by Afroconnect: 9:38pm On Oct 16, 2014
Very commendable.

We need to stir up the spirit of activism and form a people's coalition in order for us as a people to determine our faith.

This is the only way to grab Nigeria back from the these crop of political hijackers...this is important if we are to live fulfiliing lives

The people need to protest against impunity, corruption nd unfilfilled promises made by the political elite.

Its a shame we have allowed scroundrels and common touts...men easily given to barbaric tendencies not fit for leadership in this present age, space to permeate our political space.

We have watched foolishly and naively supported such entities lead our Nation to the precipice.

The Nigerian people need to realise themselves and know that their life and well being is important too.

So because of a bit of careless reporting from our media...you want to bring in repressive measures?

Have you forgotten what we went through under Army rule...where journalists can be snatched from the street and detained indefinetly?

You admire North Korea? Do you know the level of suffering ordinary people undergo in that country?

China? where people are jailed for anything from religion to complaing about government policy?

Russia is even better now...but Putin too is a bit repressive.

Look, the freedom of the press is your freedom too. If we start supporting repression....it will eventually come to affect you. And you won't like it.

First they came for the Communists, but I did not speak up because I was not a communist.

Then they came for the trade Unionists, but I did not speak up because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak up because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for the Catholics but I did not speak up because I was not a Catholic.

And then they came for me....and by then there was no one left to speak up for me

Martin Niemoller.(German pastor, jailed for opposing the Nazi Government of Germany in 1939).

Do not justify wrong things. They will always come back to haunt you.
All these countries u mentioned are safer than Nigeria for their people as a result.

We must enact laws that prohibit utterances that supports the enemy.

We must prohibit any form of encouragement or propaganda for the enemy cos its a direct form of war-fare in itself-all these laws are used by America and the rest...in world war2 American soldiers were executed and jailed for life improsonment for desertion from the war-front.

Recently American police shut down the whole state, searching for two percieved terrorists that attacked the Boston games-never will you find any American news report doubting the Government on the identity of the terrorists-one of the suspected terrorist ws killed by American police while the other was critically injured...if na naija our overzealous press go caste the Government-forgeting its for their good.

This our sham democracy that benefits only a few politicians is too over-rated-we must understnd that survival coms first.

This is sabotage plus cowardice which amounts to treason.

NBA and the dumb lawyers should seek to give legal aid to the opressed civillian populace.
These soldiers swore an oath not to abandon posts, they swore not to flee when confronted by the enemy.

The NBA chairman should know that the consequences of the army not meting out stiff punishment as laid down in their laws will lead to mediocrity in the army, soldiers will become mediocres and indisciplined like the politicians and that is dangerous to our peace and stability.

Its rather myopic this stance NBA is taking,I wonder what their aim is.

The military is different from civil institutions-the military is like a cult which has its own laws and the soldiers know going against such is death...this is the only way to keep these soldiers under control.

PoliticsRobbers Terrorise Ishaga Mushin- Police Wake Up To Your Jobs. by Afroconnect(op): 1:56pm On Oct 10, 2014
Occupants of some houses on Ishaga Close in the Mushin area of Lagos were on Sunday woken up around 3am by axe-wielding men who invaded the area.

The suspected robbers were said to have dispossessed many residents of the area of money and other valuables.

Our correspondent learnt that one Biodun, popularly called Omo Iya, led the robbery team. It was gathered that the kingpin was recently released from police custody.

The ringleader was said to have been arrested sometime in August when he robbed some houses on Adekunle Street. He was later nabbed taken to the Area D Police Command, Mushin.

PUNCH Metro learnt that residents did not report the Sunday robbery to the police, fearing that Omo Iya might go after them if he was later released.

One of the victims, who identified herself simply as Nimota, said the gang robbed her and her husband of money and phones.

“They were about six that attacked us around 3am on Sunday, brandishing axes and cutlasses. They collected my phone and N6,500. They also stole my husband’s phone and money. That was the money I was using to run my business. I sell noodles and eggs,” she said.

An elderly woman, who gave her name simply as Aduke, said the robbers dispossesed her of N12,500, which she used to run her business.

“I sell pap. I obtain maize on credit from a customer and pay after sales. That is how I feed myself and my daughter. My customer will soon come to collect her money. I don’t know who to run to for help,” she said.

While Sanusi Gbolarin said he lost laptops and a digital camera to the gang, Kike Ademola said she was robbed to the tune of N40,000.

A woman in the close, who craved anonymity, said she was also robbed of jewellery worth N200,000 by Omo Iya-led gang few months ago. She explained further that her pregnant daughter was molested in the attack, urging the government to save them from future attacks.

The Chairman, Ishaga Community Development Association, Mr. Rasheed Bankole, lamented the rampant robberies in the area, adding that residents had been subjected to sleepless nights.

He said, “Robbers have been terrorizing the whole community over the years. We have been sleeping with our eyes open since the kingpin was released by the police.

“On Monday, a young man was also caught on Folarin Street while he wanted to steal a battery from one of the parked cars. I called the police, but they did not respond. We shall be grateful if the perpetrators could be arrested and made to face the wrath of the law.”

All this will lead to anarchy,I only hope the people are wise enough to target the instigators of the violence that will eventully engulf the nation all due to the thuggery system we re nuturing...so many militias and gangs will rise out of all these as the youths got to eat and this seems to be one if the best way now.

This Kangaroo style of Nation-hood will eventually snow-ball into the people's unrest...so its a blessing in disguise for the cleansing of the system.

We need to have a people's coalition so the masses have a united front against the instigators of the violence and anarchy, to know the right people to target when the chaos erupts.

Politicians have been using dumb youths to kill and maim innocent citizens for too long.

Real G's get theirs, stop being a slave to greedy mofos, better to grab from them by any means necessary than killing and maiming innocents to get them into power only for them to give you crumbs.

I am not sure where I stated that sagging is good, or if I support it! Try buy understanding, abeg, ok
I don't see your point in stating sagging started from prison,it makes no sense.

Prison is not only for criminals...and the Prison of those years u reffered were used to oppress blacks.

You are trying to say sagging is for lowlife prisoners,am telling you that people you can never reach their heights were ex-prisoners.

Before you relate things think clearly...hip hop music started from the black slaves in slave camps too-so does it make hip hop bad or useless?

Some people sag right and some do not,and sagging don't fit everyone.

So many small men with lil coins in the bank think they are living the life-hence they see the world in their small mind and myopic view, living their small zombie rat race.

If the media gives boko upper hand by promoting them, then Naija will be like Iraq where you, your wives and mother will carry the guns to face the terrorists yourselves.

This is a war, play your role to defeat the enemy,it is not a game where you play an umpire.

Stop being educated fools, and keep your f-cking opinion to urself just do the needful so we win this war.
