coogar go back to school. 1)theories have exceptions,i see u didnt address that 2)rashidi wasnt 41 yrs old when he was banging in goals for nigeria 3)d few names of aged players u hav brought is d exception,d norm is for player's performances to drop afta 30.how many 30 something year olds hav won fifa player of d year awards and how many 20something year olds hav won d same award? |
olodo ni coogar even Dalton's atomic theory which still remains relevant in modern chemistry n physics after 2 centuries had some exceptions!u know very well dt age matters n several of ur earlier posts prove it,but u just dont to accept dt ur man is a flop. |
but coogar u r missing d point: which is dt even after comparing them d 34yr old player has a better record than d 27yr old player! at 27 torres shud b at his peak n at 34 drogba shud b past it but he is posting better performances n scoring more goals than torres. and its quite disingenuous of u to compare anybody;s scoring stats to cristiano ronaldo's or messi's stats.those 2 guys r freaks n wt dey r doing in terms of scoring has not bin done in modern times,d records of even legends like van basten,da lima ronaldo, sheva pale in comparison |
dt is why he is the biggest flop |
lolcoogar u r beyond redemption u r done who said drogba shud retire but he is performing beta than torres,so once again who should retire? i thot u were our resident statistician,y not cook up some stats to defend ur assertion dt torres IS d best striker in england. p.s if i tell u wt pple wit ur kind of cranium use it for in my village u will join boko haram in protest ![]() |
d 34yr old who can cut it (according to coogar) has 6 goals in 18 matches dis season = a goal every 3 matches d 27yr old dt can cut it (according to coogar) has 4 goals in 29 matches dis season = a goal every 7 matches Pls who should retire or at least consider d MLS? |
i said i dont see how he continues, never said i was sure he gts sacked.anyways do u go around betting 100 grand on "sure things",u hv a problem my friend. of course villas boas has to shoulder d majority of d blame for chelsea's woes but dt doesnt exonerate torres,d guy is living on past glory |
men! i dont see how villas boas can continue coaching chelsea,he is going to get d sack soon wether some chelsea fans on NL like it or not. |
there u go again harping on abt torres debut season and sodomisong lahm in 2008.dis is 2012 get over it already! but then i know u wont.r u sure u arent an idol worshipper, cos u dont give up easily on ur football idols.then u r comparing a28yr old spaniard wit a 34 yr old african, haba mallam! |
and as per taking penaltiesberbatov n chicharito didnt need to take penalties. in berba's first season he scored 14 goals in all competitions n united won d league, reached d champs league final chicharito's first season he scored 20 goals in all competition n united won d league again n reached d champs league final AGAIN torres ur guy in d same time frame has scored FIVE GOALS n chelsea won NOTHING! so he should b d one demanding for d ball as d teams NO 1 striker,at penalties. but ur man's confidence is shot,he doesnt want to get to good spots in d box cos for him d fear of missing a good chance is greater than d joy of scoring! abt me loving d sound of my voice, how u take know, i am a tenor in d church choir ![]() |
if he isnt low on confidence y is he suddenly on d receiving end of on field deliverance n exorcism sessions from Woli David Luiz? ![]() |
LOL ![]() Coogar i warned u dt dis ur Torresphilia will depreciate ur stock on NL.imagine u sayin new players dont take penalty kicks, where is it written? anways as was ritely pointed out to u Mata is NEWER! didnt Kezman take a penalty kick when he was struggling for goals as a Chelsea new boy? pls nxt tym u want to jump to ur darling fernando's defence, take a deep breath(actually take TWO),and then THINK abt wat u r abt saying |
he is actually turning 28 dis year, buyin him would b a big big mistake in my opinion.d transfer fee plus his high wages would far outstrip his contribution on d pitch |
fergie shud nt scoop sneijder weda its summer, winter or even spring! he is not d guy for united's midfield.he is too injury prone and IMO just anoda hargreaves in d making.also i continue to say sneijder has rarely put in good performances when played in a 4-4-2 so i dont xpect him to suddenly lose his leopard spots.d guy is 27 dis year n his performances hav bin dropping ever since he was 25,i believe he has peaked n his best days r behind him. d truth is dt there r very few quality creative midfielders around dt can excel in a 2 man midfield,d only ones dt readily come to mind r modric n schweinsteiger. eriksen, gotze, alcantara, sneijder et.c r all beta in a 3 man midfield wit 2 guys behind them |
dats true, anyway i never rily believed d dutch had a serious chance of winning, tink spain n germany r favourites. |
meanwhile di vaio is r.a.p.i.n.g inter and sneijder is playing rubbish, yet again i hope united has dodged dt bullet |
dat save was rily rily good |
@dayokanu What strenght? Is he Hulk Hogan? ![]() every man has a blind spot and for coogar his is torres.he is like dt brilliant lawyer who is successful, kind, handsome, popular but chooses a lady flawed in all eyes but his own as a wife.there is nothing anybody or anyone can do to make coogar concede dt torres is a dud,or does any1 here xpect him to suddenly say 'oops u guys were ryt all along, torres is indeed shyte'? d only way dt can happen is if torres seduces coogar's wife, n i'm not even sure dt would do it! ok some one raised a question, pls u stats guys lets see chelsea's record dis season with lamps starting and their record without lamps, chelsea's record wit torres n their record without torres e.t.c |
wat a save by de gea |
would like to hav a gud look at vertonghen d belgian CB, i believe is most gifted player in d dutch side (after eriksen) |
i like d line up,seems nani would b on dt ryt where i feel he is more effective and dis is kind of match for chicharito with ajax's high line n not so solid defence |
looool yes o they went to milan 4 nothing! and its a 4 gone conclusion that they r out of d competition, and they most likely will remain trophyless 4 d 4 seeable future, dis defeat has rily made dudu a figure of 4un on NL, |
Coogar so u too are from d noble house of Batiatus! ![]() |
welbeck can still improve but to dt he has to hv d backin of his manager, team mates n d fans.i see him as some one who plays well when he is rily confident n can b rily crappy when he is low on confidence.concerning his wasteful ways remember cristiano ronaldo was quite wasteful earlier on in his career,so was thierry henry and many others.i am not sayin he is goin to b as gud as these guys i mentioned o but i see enuf in him ryt now for united to keep d faith him n help him grow as a footballer |
gad dem! dats too harsh.and i definitely disagree wit sackin terry or drogba.anyways i am talking abt THIS SEASON, no re-investment or sackin or buyin, just reshuffling and getting d best 11 out there n putting players in the correct positions.i noticed dt though there's bin alot of criticism of AVB n d Chelsea squad on dis thread few pple hv actually gone into detail to describe how they would like d team to b structured or how it would best function |
ok i am clutching at straws here but please with all d noise abt chelsea summit meetings does anybody have suggestions abt how chelsea can turn their season around esp wt their 1st 11 should be and d formation n who should play where |
ok this whole sequence of posts is getting more n more TORTUROUS and coogar's line of argument is getting more n more TORTUOUS! ![]() pls now lets not derail dis thread, dis sports thread not a vocab thread! pls lets TRY to to debate without insults or any oda below d belt blows |
kai coogar dis is too bad now.1st thing i think we all agree dt u r a smart guy nd quite knowledgeable abt soccer.2nd thing which u might not know is dt even though u r smart its possible there r a few smarter guys on NL.so its nothing to be embarrased abt when u make a mistake, especially when we r nothing but faceless monikers with d benefit of our anonymity to protect us.if u insist on defending this indefensible position u run d risk of becoming a figure of fun and ur often cerebral sometimes perverse contribution to sports discourse on NL wont b viewed with d same interest n respect |
walahi Mallam Coogar u don pall my hand fata fata! ![]() u wey dey correct ferson na u come wrong fass pa.anyhow na u kukuma use ur own hand inbite trouble |
i concur! d guy is a dolt like i said earlier.he has a history of antisocial if not sociopathic behaviour and he is not likely to have changed his long held warped beliefs overnight.and for those who were comparing rio's refusal to his:rio had a few seconds to decide weda he was going to shake d guy's hand or not,dis guy had days if not weeks to decide wt he was going to do and he still chose d asinine option |
i agree evra is happier attacking than defending but i am not talking abt just physical recovery rate.i hv also noticed mental lapses and poor defending when he is even in position.check out d easy way sturridge skinned him for chelsea's opener.i am an evra fan,i complain abt him cos i know his performances can b better. as for him bin played regularly as a winger its not goin to happen, its easier making overlapping runs than to b d winger already bin tightly marked.evra when at peakperformance is a great left back or even wing back but would never b more than a run of d mill winger |
haba! i am not talking abt today, like i said earlier i didnt watch d whole match. i am just speaking generally dt over d last 1 or 2 season's evra's form has declined. and i hav seen wat endless minutes can do to a career later on.i feel his form has dipped a little generally n i know he plays way to many minutes! fergie rotates every position include GK but leaves evra to labour week in week out |
