CapitalCee: Thank you very much. Nice analysis.
For me I think the size of Biancheiri will not hinder him, i might be wrong but I think he will do better than Wheatly. And Bianchieri hasn’t finished growing he is still very young. And I noticed that Shea Lacey hasn’t kicked off since his return from injury, i had big hope for that boy.
Thats why I like Amorin recruitment, he will do like he did in sporting, bringing in talented youngsters from the academy, look at what Barca is doing. Yamal, pedri, Gavi, Cubarsi, Pau Victor, Fermin, Bernal, Casado. I like these kinds of transition.
I think Amorin will be better than ETH in terms of blooding youngsters. I think Amass and that young defender that joined the first team training, i have forgotten his name will break through with Amorin Unless you are Aguero level talent, small size will hinder a CF hoping to play for a top club in the era of single striker. In a 4-4-2 system , not so much. His Wikipedia page is saying Biancheri is 5'9 but he looks more like 5'7. It does not mean he can't make it at a top club, but it is a huge obstacle for him. Remember, he is not competing against Wheatley alone but Obi, Rasmus, Zirkzee, and whichever 6 foot plus equally talented striker the club buys in the next 2 years. I think Lacey is injured again. He has barely played any football over the past 12 months. Barca's academy is better than ours and they regularly produce talents of the highest caliber, so it is not always that easy. I agree though that Amorin will integrate them more readily. A few young defenders have joined first team training, so which one is it? This week Jack Kingdon and Daniel Armer joined the training. |

CapitalCee: afrodoc2 please this Obi-Martins how do you see him? The last u18 match I saw him, he was like a giant among kids, is that the reason he is scoring many goals or he is just good?
For me the Under 18 guys that I have my eyes on are
-Biancheiri the guy looks to like a smart finisher in the box, but a lot of people dont seem to rate him.
Muntato, - strong, Physical and relentless Kukonki - he will fit into Amorins 3-4-3 system. Ibragimov too, looks hugely talented and a new guy I notice that is smart Thwaites he looks good to me. Yeah, Obi will remain a puzzle until he faces more physically challenging opposition. If you watched him last season it was like SS3 playing against JS1. Over a spell of about 1 month, he outscored most teams by himself. One thing i will say though is that he is a better finisher than Wheatley. Both Biancheri and Obi are better finishers than Wheatley. Biancheri is a very good finisher with exceptional box movement but because of his small size it won't be easy for him to break through as a CF. Funny thing is that his hold up play is quite good for his size. Mantato is going to be a really good athlete. Similar to Saka stylistically but we will see how far he can go. He can fit in as a RWF in a 4-3-3 but in this Amorin system he is best suited to be either RWB or LWB. Ibragimov and Thwaites are excellent technicians in midfield. Like you, i have been impressed by Thwaites technical ability. He made his debut last season and scored a fantastic last-minute winner, and he has kicked on this season. Infact, it seems he only deals in spectacular goals. Reminds a bit of Hansen-Aaroen but more tenacious. Kukonki is 16 and in the senior squad i think maybe only Maguire and de Ligt would be bigger than him. He is reported to be 6'5 but i think he is more like 6'3. Strong, fast, can pass the ball. There is real potential for him to be LCB in 2-3 years. Still very raw though, and i think Munro and Armer are better for now. |

Nothing concerns me with what Player A did in another club when we are comparing his impact or importance in OUR OWN history compared to Player B. We should be comparing Player A's achievements at Man Utd with Player B's achievements at Man Utd. If Player A went elsewhere to peak even higher than Player B, it just means that Player A is not only a greater Man Utd player than Player B he is also a greater player overall. Rooney, Vida, Rio. That is probably it for the list of Man Utd players in the 21st century that can even chat to CR7 in terms of United status. P.S Obviously Scholes, Giggs, Becks, Keano are not in consideration as they span both 20th and 21st centuries. |

Tommorow now Antony go soon enter studio then go give am mic, then small 30 secs clips of his clips and few of his long ranges curlers will emerge online, small children now wey don grow go come tell us how Antony take be legend.
All these Old players we know those who actually did well. This was in 2013 when i was arguing with someone claiming that Berba had done more for us than Rooney. afrodoc: in the season he was top scorer for United Berbatov scored in the following matches
1 goal against Newcastle match ended 3-0 1 goal against West Ham match ended 3-0 1 goal against Everton match ended 3-3 Hat trick against Liverpool match ended 3-2 5 goals against Blackburn match ended 7-1 1 goal against Sunderland and match ended 2-0 1 goal against Birmingham and match ended 1-1 Hat trick against Birmingham match ended 5-0 2 goals against Blackpool match ended 3-2 1 goal against Bolton and the match ended 1-0 1 goal against Fulham and match ended 2-0
His goals came in 11 matches and included a hat trick against Liverpool , hat trick against relegated Birmingham, 2 goals against relegated Blackpool 1 goal against relegated West Ham and 5 against Birmingham.
7 of his 20 goals came against relegated teams and 5 against 15th placed Birmingham
Notice the lack of any goals against a top 5 team. Berbatov is the epitome of the flat track bully afrodoc: everton? now thats a top team.after all we pinched their manager. And we know from the earlier posts that at least 3 of those liverpool goals came when liverpool came 6th in the 2010/2011 season.so are u saying he has scored grand total of 8 goals against a top 4 team in the last 7 years? an average of just over 1 goal a year? NOW if that isnt a flat track bully then what is? P.S in the same period Wayne Rooney has 18 league goals against top 4 sides in the EPL alone. afrodoc: in the 2006/2007 EPL season berbatov scored 0 goal against top 4 teams
in the 2007/2008 EPL season berbatov scored 3 goals against top 4 teams
in the 2008/2009 EPL season berbatov scored 1 goal against top 4 teams
in the 2009/2010 EPL season berbatov scored 0 goal against top 4 teams
in the 2010/2011 EPL season berbatov scored 0 goal against top 4 teams
in the 2011/2012 EPL season berbatov scored 0 goal against top 4 teams
in the 2012/2013 EPL season berbatov scored 2 goals against top 4 teams
A GRAND TOTAL OF SIX EPL GOALS AGAINST TOP 4 TEAMS IN 7 SEASONS
NOW if that is not a flat track bully please what is?
P.S the point would be further driven home when you research his goals against relegated teams in the same period e.g he scored as many goals ( SIX) against relegated teams in the 2010/2011 season ALONE as he had scored against top 4 teams in 7 seasons
A bit of fact checking would be appreciated instead of coming here and making blanket statements that are untrue |

Infact Park only won 1 more EPL in 2011 after Ronaldo left. Ronaldo together with Rooney masterminded the resurgence of Fergie in 2006/07. Ronaldo was imperious from late 2005 to 2009 when he left. The late trophy haul by Fergie was largely due to Ronaldo. That one just weak me. If Rooney had joined a rival andgone ahead to win 4 UCLs, 3 leagues titles and other trophies, many here won't rank him that high...Rooney is ranked that high because he spent the peak of his career here. I can give you 150M Nigeria which is a far cry from the 230M we dey claim I am telling you I worked in hospital in the rural north and I participated in immunisation programs. You can’t manufacture fake people to be jabbed with injections. I was seeing women with 10-12 or more children steady. One of my male health workers brought one of his wives for a check and I think she was late 30s and had over 10 children already, and the guy laughed and said he had not retired her yet. Then when we went to immunise you enter a small compound and spend the whole afternoon there cos there are over 100 people inside the small compound that we southern corpers thought would have 20 people max. Many of them don’t go to school. Many of the women don’t even come out of their compounds unless on a strictly regulated basis. |

raumdeuter: Which African country no dey dagbo am? Especially West African countries. You are assuming we are different from them, Look at their politics and see how it closely resembles ours. Or ours might even be better
On your Northern point about early marriages, Lets compare to other non Nigerian exclusively Islamic nations that do early marriages too and see how many of them have grown at the same rate
Let us even assume every Nigerian is Moslem to the extent of North Africa and get married by 14yrs, Our growth rate since 1960 still doesn't make sense and is an outlier. 1960 2024 Percentage increase Nigeria 45M 230M 411% Libya 1.5M 7.4M 393% Morocco 11M 38M 245% Egypt 27M 116M 329% Tunisia 4.2M 12M 185% Those are countries who are more Moslem than us where young marriages are okay yet dnt have the same population growth
Now Ghana that has a similar religious distribution to Nigeria
Ghana 1960 7M 2024 34M 392%
South Africa though they don't have the same religion as us What is the difference between 411% and 393%. You didn’t add other countries like Uganda and Kenya etc with about 600% increase in population. Also I didn’t directly link the population growth in the north to just Islam. I have Egyptian friends and I have mentored Iranian, Turkish, Tunisian colleagues closely. They do not give birth at the rate that is done in the Northern part of Nigeria. Religion is a factor but it is not the only factor. There are other cultural and social factors involved. |
