ChristineC: there's no accountability. people get away with a lot of acts. the bigger placed, the more hideous. a change can only start with the number one position having some level of integrity and wielding enormous influence, which is already available by the type of presidential system run in Nigeria. that mantra of "change starts with you" is scam. the top management has to be seen doing things in a certain way, then it trickles down. it's like entering a very neat street with a wrap of gala you just finished devouring. no matter your default behaviour, there's a feeling of consciousness on how to dispose the wrap. or entering a freshly mopped room with your shoes even if neat, you feel like tiptoeing across quickly. like people will always rant on how Nigerians fall in line when they arrive in other countries and behave anyhow in theirs. humans adjust to set standards and there are examples of countries that have managed to enforced discipline in recent history. The change should come from both ends of the power spectrum in my opinion. We will wait for up to 3 generations before top down only change can work. For the change to happen in a timely fashion the paradigm has to change at the individual level as well. The level of oppression that goes on in Universities alone is unbelievable. Even at the community level, Landlords oppressing their tenants with impunity, bank tellers oppressing customers, school principals oppressing junior teachers etc I think I have told the story of a Nigerian doctor/lecturer that was employed by a Uni in the Caribbean. The school council had to call him to order when he failed most of his students in the Naija style. The council told him that a majority failure rate was an indictment not on the students but on the lecturer. He was forced to review the scripts and issue a more reasonable result. If it was in Nigeria the class reps would have been going to beg him every day to be merciful while fellowship leaders would have led fasting and prayer sessions for God to touch his heart. |

BlueRayDick: Afrodoc was right , an average Nigerian would oppress his or her fellow Nigerian with any little amount of power at his or her disposal
Just look at the comment section and see people suggesting the bolt guy gets what he deserved cos he must have disrespected the “honorable “🤦♂️ Just another day in the jungle. 99.9% of Nigerians will do the same if given the same level of power and influence. Practically every Nigerian is a potential oppressor and tyrant. I have lived in 3 different continents and visited numerous countries, the phrase "Do you know who i am" only appears in Naija lexicon. Oppression DNA dey inside most of us. That is why when a common man become a leader, the oppression is manifested and magnified. |

she is 'former lead HR' which implies she is currently unemployed the man is effectively out of a job and may not be able to secure a job in corporate nigeria. Chances are no she didn't, however his animalistic tendencies need to be curtailed someway somehow. |

Roland17: E get people wen dey use their hot temper and anger brag. I tell dem, your consequence, that is, if e neva happen Dey wait for you for front.
To me, to me oh, a man must stay in control of his temperament and that requires an elevated level of emotional intelligence.
Everyman should know his consequence. That man did not understand his own consequence, so he would learn the hard way. In the words of VDM, "He gon' learn". One of the best traits to have is self-control. |

These players don’t play like they know what they are meant to be doing. No fluidity at all. So tentative before every touch and pass. |

maik99: You are the one who has a pro-Garnacho agenda tho cos saying Rashford would bury at least one of those chances or the several others that Garnacho has missed this season is not an overstatement He said Rashford would bury BOTH chances. Not at least one of them. Me saying there is no guarantee Rashford would score both chances is not a pro-Garnacho agenda. It is just an objective view of the form all our attackers are in. You are the one that comes here every game to criticise Garnacho whether he is playing well or not 🤷🏻♂️ |

Oasis007: .....just for a period Doc. I know Xavi won La Liga in his first season in charge with a weak squad but ain't that confident he can turn things around at United.
Amorim, I don't know much about him coz I barely follow portuguse league. Just don't want the board rushing to make another mistake.
Allow Ruud and Rene to be in charge till we get a solid Manager to take over. Oh ok. It is your phrase “let’s see what Ruud and Rene can do” that made me respond. We are not trying to “see” what they can do. They will only get the interim job until a proper manager is appointed. “Seeing” what they can do implies that we would be assessing them to see if they are good enough for the job on a permanent basis. |

Oasis007: If its ETH that played against Real Madrid, we would have gone ultra-defensive, praying for a point or counter to score a goal and lock the shop.
Flick didn't change his tactics or pattern of play cos its fuckin Real Madrid. He didn't fear to play against Vini and Mbappe who are damn pacy and can hurt your team through counter. He maintained the highline and still dealt with Madrid.
This is how you know a Manager with still balls. Sack ZeroHag NOW. Let's see what combo of Ruud and Rene can do. If/when we sack him let’s get a manager with a proven track record. No matter what the combo of Rene and Ruud do in the next 3-4 months I wouldn’t give them the job. We have seen that movie before. |
