Oh okay. I know you follow City academy so I believe you but surely there's someone more mature and better than the Alleye guy since this kid Mfuni is still too young.

The Alleye guy is league one level right now IMO. Very poor. Tackling, aerial/ground duels, positioning. The boy is simply not ready but tinker man will surely start him next game.
Alleyne is the most mature of the decent CBs in their academy. Outside that you have teenagers like Mfuni, Noble, Braithwaite.

They have Guehi, Khusanov, Ake. Maybe if they are under duress they can recall Akanji from his loan.

If he's the best CB from the famed City academy, then wahala dey. Pep may actually be truly finished or may be he's bored.
Mfuni is better but still too young. Mfuni actually has wicked potential.

Oscar Bobb's football IQ is higher than Palmer's IMO but Palmer is a better do-it-alone player. That broken leg has also recalibrated Bobb's career.

So Kobbie covered more distance out of possession against Man City than any other United player this season.

He has to make use of the opportunity this Carrick appointment has given him.

Butt, Scholes and I'll even throw in Neville and Keane. The way they attack the players is bordering on agenda. I doubt if you see that in any other big club.
Keane definitely has an agenda against the club because of Fergie and David Gill who still have influence there and have probably blocked the club from welcoming him back. He is probably my favourite United player but he can be too abrasive.

Butt and Scholes are just silly. Apart from maybe drawing views to their podcast I don’t think they have any overarching agenda.

Neville just talks too much.

Some of them have over-relied on the US without thinking someone with choko for head like Trump would ever become president of America to come scatter sweet relation with the super world power.
Post World War PTSD and economic constraints made them abdicate their role to the US.

They might have to recalibrate now that the mai guard has become an armed robber. Hehehe

As in....I also did wonder how Hitler became what he was while his people and the whole world watched on. But as I grow older and saw the excuse people make for actions and inactions of leaders that are actually unreasonable, I begin to understand it is the people that enabled him to become what he became.

The fact it is an American president that is openly moving like Hitler without any remorse/feel of moral guilt just makes the whole thing hard to believe
It is the EU countries that I pity. They are like chubby ajebutter children that have been suddenly left home alone without any guardian.

Doc do you think Trump is moving like Hitler with the way he's handled the Venezuelan matter and also vowed to seize Greenland from Denmark?
Of course. He has Hitlerite and fascist tendencies.

It is very interesting to watch it happen in real time and see all the reasons, explanations, and excuses being given for his actions.

When I first read about Hitler, the Nazis, World War 2 I usually found it hard to understand how the Nazis were allowed to to come to power in the first place, and how the world powers watched him as he step by step militarised the Rhineland, carried out the Anschluss, “liberated” the Sudetenland Germans, and finally invaded Poland.

It didn’t make sense. Now it does.

I don't believe GCON should be shared to everybody. It should be a National Honour reserved for the top position of the country.

For you to earn GCON, every part of Nigeria should have felt your effort, not because you built Eko Atlantic.
You are now on the right track. I agree 100% with everything you just said. Yet nothing there says indigenous or non-indigenousz LOL.

Go and read my previous posts on Chagoury. Of course I don’t believe he deserves it because he has not positively impacted the country enough. He also has dubious history with regards to the Abacha loot.

The non-indigenous/indigenous point sha is not solid. If people use that as the bone of contention it won’t hold water.

Several, outside politics?

How many?
Outside politics narrows it. Likely less than 10. I believe I know 4.

What number will you be happy with before they start giving non-indigenous Nigerians. Or should we focus on whether the person deserves it or not?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by afrodoc2: 8:36am On Jan 20

That's what I asked....

How many Indigenous Nigerians have gotten the award? The last I heard was Dangote.

And it's not about holding an office. People hold offices everywhere. But a National honour, because you invested in Banana Island and Eko Atlantic?
Your last statement is what you should be focusing on. What has he done as indigenous or non indigenous Nigerian or even as an extra terrestrial alien to deserve the award.

The indigenous and non-indigenous Nigerian part won’t really work.
Several indigenous Nigerians have gotten the award. Unless you have a number you are looking for that you will be happy with before they start giving non-indigenous Nigerians.

True...

He's still a Lebanese, abi?
Most likely. I believe dual-citizenship is allowed.

If we apply this to Nigerians born in the UK, USA, Canada, etc they would not be able to hold office or receive awards in those countries.

BlueRayDick’s approach might be more fruitful. What has he done to deserve the award and what has he done not to deserve the award.

LooL. Very possible. Those Fletcher twins look talented. Hope they can hit their full potential.

I personally think we should start making plans to integrate JJ Gabriel into the first team. I know he’s too young to make his debut this season but there should be a plan to ease him in when the time comes.

Ole did it with Greenwood. Amad developed significantly when he went on loan to the championship. We need to develop these kids to the utmost level. If they can’t play for United, we should get good bucks for them.

JJ Gabriel can be a Bruno regen, no?
The Fletcher twins have potential but I think they have benefited a bit from their surname. They are not outstanding for their age group in the country and Tyler even had to switch to Scotland to get game time.

JJ Gabriel is not physically ready for senior football but I don’t think it will matter. He will be integrated into the senior set up sometime next season or he will leave the club. Even if we integrate him quickly it might still not be enough to keep him.

He probably plays more like Cunha than Bruno but his best comp stylistically is Neymar. If he ends up even half as good as Neymar he would have done well for himself,

Garner has developed nicely away from the toxic atmosphere at Old Trafford. He was instrumental in Everton’s victory at Villa Park. Hopefully he continues improving.

Do we have any midfielders (on loan or in the u18 or 21) who can do a job in midfield? I’m thinking someone who can replace Casemiro next season.

Collyer is more an Ugarte type that is still developing. Kone is just not ready for the EPL IMHO.
Devaney is the nearest to Casemiro. He is the Under-21 captain and has been a decent performer for the past couple of years but I don’t think the club hierarchy rate him that highly.

Maybe they don’t think his ceiling is high enough. He sometimes struggles with quick n tricky players and gets silly cards. Plus he is a bit limited on the ball.

Dan Gore is doing well on loan but at 21yrs of age his time has passed. Injuries took 2 yrs from him.

Apart from Devaney the only other reasonable option that is remotely physically ready is the right footed Fletcher twin, Tyler. Uncle Carrick might give him some minutes LOL

This is to let you know the kind of journalism that politics of bitterness has engendered in the US. The same we complain about the dearth of good journalists in Nigeria is the same way the US public is complaining. There are people who will automatically believe the opposite of whatever is being reported on the news.

Onyedika and Onyeka practically disappeared in that game. We missed Ndidi whether we like it or not.

I felt them Lookman and Osihmen should've dropped down a little to support the midfield
Onyeka was still hustling and trying to be physical although the ref didn’t give him that chance.

Onyedika went to look for a cool and dry place in the centre circle, dug a hole there and hide inside for the entire duration of the match.

We should just bring Garner back home on a free transfer and buy another quality midfielder. That will free up money for the LW and other positions.
