adebayo201: You said it that Sesko and Mainoo will enjoy more under Carrick. The former didn't play today but the later had a full match for the first time after Amoru don useless am finish.
Mainoo man that midfield like a Marshall and put in the work. I hope Sesko too will embrace the challenge with both hands and bury chances.
Sesko's own might be a tactical decision for this game but only time will tell. I knew Mainoo will get a real chance under Carrick because he already expressed that he could build his team round Mainoo in an interview last year and because of the type of midfield Carrick was said to have used at Boro. |

Leyqute: That Foden no sabi jare. Hehehe. Make Pep no go cut Semenyo's samson locks o. He has to make a decision on either Semenyo or Doku on the left. It will be interesting to see what Carrick does with Sesko going forward. I think today's decision was a tactical one but i might be wrong. He will give Mainoo all the chance in the world to regain his place and Dorgu will be a mainstay of the team either at LB or LW. |

I don't have any confidence in Burnley to take points from Liverpool, but Brentford can help us by spanking Chelshit. |

I hope those 2 needless yellow cards do not come back to bite us. There is no natural replacement for Dalot on the bench. |

Ellexy: Yeah just speculating.. Yeah, i get. We will see as it plays out. I think it will be a mid to low block 4-2-3-1. Amad protecting Dalot, Dorgu protecting Shaw, and trying to hit them on the counter. |

Leyqute: The funny thing is it could be none of the playing staff. Those personnel handling the communication this sort of information can also be complicit.
If too many people have access to that information, there’s a high probability one of them will leak it. Very possible. Or it could be leaking from both playing and non-playing staff. The problem is that it keeps happening to us but not to other clubs. |

---------------Casemiro--------------Mainoo------------------------
------Amad------------------Bruno---------------------Dorgu
--------------------------------Mbeumo-------------------------- If Carrick does this that means he is very flexible cos he has never used back 3 in his career. Maguire as RCB in an area where he will face either Doku or Semenyo. Let's wait and see. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 12:41pm On Jan 17 |
Leyqute: Same structure under Fletcher. Personne changes in Amad for Cunha and Mbeumo for Sesko.
Dorgu is probably starting because of his agility. That midfield needs a ground eater and it’s clear it won’t be Case or Mainoo. Dorgu is another one that might benefit from Carrick's tenure. If Shaw can't carry out the LB role adequately in subsequent games, Carrick might turn to Dorgu. |

Leyqute: I still don’t understand how United’s lineups get leaked when other teams don’t have the same problem. Surely, it shouldn’t be that hard to nip the issue in the bud? It is a symptom of the dysfunction in the club. Years ago, they blamed Dean Henderson. After he left the 2 suspects were Rashford and Garnacho/Garnacho's brother. After Amorim bounced both Rashford and Garnacho, the leaks stopped or at least reduced so that confirmed the rumours in many people's eyes. The hunt for the new suspect starts now. |

Leyqute: He’s a Carrington boy. Carrick is expected to give him chances. I just don’t know if Mainoo will make the most of that chance.
What will be very worrying is if Kone gets minutes, shows loads of promise, and Carrick, because of his man-know-man tendencies, keeps playing Mainoo even when it’s clear that Kone would perform better for that CM/DM role. Kone that is already training with Lausanne-Sport. You are not likely to see Kone play for us until next season at the earliest. I don't know if Mainoo will take the chance as well, but he will get it. What he does with it is left to him. Carrick namechecked him as someone he could build his midfield around in an interview with Rio last year. P.S It will be very interesting to see how much Sesko benefits. Maybe Dorgu as a LB. I am hearing that our defense might suffer though. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 10:23pm On Jan 15 |
Leyqute: I don’t think Mainoo is ready to win anything. He’s slow and needs serious effort in terms of reading the game and more confidence for forward passes from deep.
Bruno and Sesko are more likely to flourish imo Bruno is expected. That one will flourish under any system. If the manager likes let him play 2-3-5 Hruno will do his thing. I think Mainoo will be a winner early on. But if his performances do not improve he will be bounced to the bench. That is why I said early winners, Carrick will give him a chance at the start or soon after starting. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 3:53pm On Jan 15 |
I suspect Sesko and Mainoo might be the early winners from Carrick's tenure. |

raumdeuter: I understand you, Fans are emotional and even if Messi miss a penalty they will attack him. Even me sef vex for Chukwueze and Bruno yesterday but the main question is why are junior members of the team taking penalties when our senior guys are hiding
Imagine say you have a high stakes meeting with a top client in a hostile territory, make or break situation, the Senior Managers dey duck, because of the potential for embarrassment and because they will be insulted but push forward junior team members to go do the presentation.
Most football teams I watch when its PK shootout na senir men dey first jump out because its part of the responsibility of being a leader
Imagine make Man Utd get shootout make Bruno Fernandes dey hide and come dey blame Kobbie Mainoo or Dorgu for missing Everything you are saying is on point but not everybody is built the same. Those leaders need to hang their heads in shame, but the Nigerian fans too need to be calming down so that their players won't be viewing penalty shootout like it is a death sentence. Nobody drags like a Nigerian and we have the population and social media presence to make life hell for any target. Years back there was a CAF competition match involving a foreign club and a Lagos club (i think it was Julius Berger). The Lagos club won a late penalty to salvage the match, and nobody stepped up to take the penalty. The referee kept on blowing his whistle until the captain stepped up like he was going to face a firing squad and duly missed it. |

raumdeuter: All 4 players who took penalties are heroes to me Senior players wey dey chicken out? when its time for glory they spread chest dey point everybody fault for field but when its time for glory you step forward
Kane Ronaldo Messi etc have all lost penalties at some point and they were attacked by fans but that didnt stop them from coming forward to take more. That is what leadership is about I do not disagree with you but the way Naija fans tackle people who miss penalty will always discourage some people from taking them. They might be heroes to you, but thousands of people are busy trolling their accounts and hurling insults at them right now so i am sure they are not heroes to those people. You are in the minority. |

The fans behaviour towards Chukwueze is what made those senior players chicken out. Next time Chukwueze too will chicken out. He has learnt the hard way. |
