A40: Are you people surprised with James Harden? How many times will someone tell you who they are before you believe em. Exceptional defense by Kyrie, completely had him in Guantanamo bay
This Sixers squad I wonder what will happen to Embiid and Harden when the playoffs roll around and the refs swallow their whistle.
Harden 0/10 from three. Hmmm. Where have we seen this before
Ghost St James usually shows up in a playoff atmosphere.
donjazet: To be fair, when Roman bought Chelsea. Putin was just a newbie. Russia was taking baby steps transitioning into a capitalist economy from the failed Soviet communism. It was a neocracy. Nobody could have predicted that Putin will become the modern day Stalin and outlast Stalin himself. Don't forget that Russia is technically a democratic country now , but it's system has been bastardized soo badly by Putin. Essentially running a kleptocracy and kakistocracy. With hindsight we can now say, they were wrong accepting roman in the first place, but how it looks now is soo different from the promise held then.
.
You keep saying Putin outlasted Stalin. In what way? Stalin was the boss for about 30 years.
MRTA7: Can I have some more info before I purchase these shares?
He is one of the most well rounded midfielders i have seen from our academy in a long time. He might not have ultra-high scores in specific aspects (for example the way Pogba had ultra high shooting and long range passing as an 18yr old) but he does everything well. He has strength, technique, passing, dribbling, aerial ability, work rate, defensive awareness. Only thing i have not really seen consistently is long range shooting.
As a 15yr old last year he was quite decent in U-18 but as a 16yr old he has been bullying opponents for fun this year. If not for the glut of midfielders in the U-23s (Svidersky, Savage, Shoretire, Iqbal, Mejbri) i am sure he would have been a regular for the Under-23s as well.
Don't sleep on Garnacho as well. Argentina recently called him up for their World Cup qualifiers in order to steal him away from Spain.
Nezzjnr: I enjoyed watching the clips this morning.
That final goal that came through him
Our 3 best players at Under-18 are Mainoo, Garnacho, Hansen-Aaroen. There is an obvious gulf between them and the others. All 3 have made huge progress since Jan this year.
GloryIsaac: Does this mean our gunman is gone? He’s still too young.
I am holding on to my Greenwood stock but I know that in this cancel culture era it takes less to ruin a person.
Also remember that this is not an actor that can come back in 10 yrs and win an Oscar. At Mason’s age every time spent away from football is time forever lost.
By the way our Under 18s don reach fa Cup final... There's this dark guy in that midfield.....The Guy will turn out to be a very good midfielder in future if he can be consistent
That is Kobbie Mainoo. Person wey I don dey sell him shares already. If you wan buy I go sell to you at discount.
Some dey sour like UCL exit. You never know which one will turn sour.
I just like as Messianic cultists became born again Christians overnight, praying and fasting for CR7 to falter at the same stage so that they can be singing “the same the same pata”.
patrickmuf: PSG will win the French Ligue 1 with or without Messi...What the owners want is the UCL and that's where the competition is wherein, he is doing very well...
If he was dominating the French Ligue 1 and struggling in the UCL, I'd be concerned but for now, he is doing well where it matters most...
He is not dominating the Ligue 1 with his Fred scoring numbers.
He is not struggling in the UCL either as they have bounced his ass out the door like a club girl the morning after.
nitrogen: These streets mad gan ooo. Everybody go collect. Goat, chicken, cow etc, all of them go chop am.
What goes around comes around. A few weeks ago, dem troll Ronaldo like mad for here, and the trolling was orchestrated by some Utd and Messi fans.
We go dey alright!
Messianic cultists are very wicked and shameless while their god is quite weak and shameful.
So they expect people to keep quiet after their god who landed in France with a bang exited the UCL in his usual fashion with a whimper.
The discrepancy between Messi’s group stage scoring and his knockout stage scoring is well known. Anybody who is depending on Messi to explode into life in UCL knockout phase at this stage in his life is sitting on a long time thing.
Seems to lack pace. Extremely talented and skillful.
Unlike Pogba, he doesn’t showboat. Releases the ball quickly.
Can pass. Good vision too.
Best position seems to be CM/AM.
Lots of potential. Can make it in the PL with right guidance and mentoring.
Yeah. He is 18yr old Pogba with more defensive awareness and work rate but with less passing and shooting ability.
He almost always plays as part of a double pivot. He is a no 8 not an AM. His pace is good for a CM.
I think the major problem with the youth players coming through is that so many of them are midfielders so they will in effect cannibalise one another like crabs. Out of about 10 of them not more than 2 or 3 will make it here.
nitrogen: Very true. Hardwork, dedication, smartness etc. got Ronaldo to the very top. Messi is way more talented.
Mos def. It takes more than just natural ability.
Meanwhile for those of you who dropped your Greenwood stock i am presenting another option. He is just 16 so it might take a few years for the investment to reap benefits.
nitrogen: I swear, Ronaldo tracks back more than Messi, even though he is older. Baba no do anything tonight.
Ronaldo’s mentality and fighting spirit is superior. That is the main reason there is even a Messi vs Ronaldo debate. On pure natural talent Messi is superior but Ronaldo has a pathological and desperate need to win.
As a teenager, Rashford connected well with his teammates and made the right decisions most of the time.
It was when he cemented his position in the team that he decided to change his game so as to score more goals.
I agree that he needs to be benched exclusively so as to regain his game tho.
I think there’s still hope for him.
The decision making was always suspect. That is the main reason I was in the Mbappe camp in that Mbappe vs Rashford debate even when Rashford was on hot form.
When a player’s physical ability drops he won’t be able to get away with the mental mistakes he used to get away with again. For example a quick defender like AWB or Bailly that uses speed and tackling to compensate for bad positioning will become exposed once the body starts failing.
It’s not like I have inside information on this but remember I called it last year before the club started confessing about all the injuries he had. What I am seeing is mainly physical regression not attitude problem.
He has to stop thinking he’s shouldering the team’s burden… and that by pursuing personal glory, he’s lifting the team.
But at the moment. Na idiotic player him be.
I am telling you guys that he is probably finished physically you guys are thinking it is attitude problem. We saw it with Fowler and Owen in their early 20s. His decision making has always been poor the difference now is that he can't accelerate past well positioned defenders anymore. In open space he is still quick but he is not catching people and leaving them like he used to.
The best thing that can happen to Rashford now is for him to be benched for a long time and hopefully his body can recover. Something like using him as a bench player exclusively for about 6-12 months and then see if he can return to form.
DeadPresidents: Not really true (at least not whilst Pochettino was manager). Tottenham had a net spend so low it's a wonder Daniel Levy is not languishing in a dungeon somewhere right now.
Ajax is the richest club in the Netherlands and can afford to snap up the best talent in the league (like the Berghuis signing) and even top-tier talent from other continents (like Antony)
I feel Pochettino gets too little credit for what he did with Spurs. I'd be happy with Ten Haag but I don't believe we currently have the type of setup that will allow him become an instant success with us.
There is no manager that will become an instant success with the current set up. Therefore since it is doomed to end in failure any which way, I prefer the guy whose sides play more entertaining football.
