raumdeuter: From what I heard, Guns are legal in Canada It is not about guns being legal. It is about effective gun control and not allowing the NRA and other right wing boneheads hijack poilicy. Canada is bigger than the U.S, Australia is almost as big as the U.S but we rarely see these things happening there. Those countries also have homes that are hours away from police stations, they also have hunters, they also have a history of using guns to conquer the original owners of the land. The main difference is that while they have effective gun control the Americans allow boneheaded non-thinking right wingers to ignore all the statistics and hide behind their 2nd amendment rights. |

raumdeuter: This is true, We cannot totally eliminate human who go haywire, And to someone that goes haywire there is really nothing you can do to him. A very sane guy can go haywire buy a gas cylinder attach some explosives to it and attack a concert. Someone can get a vehicle and run over people like they did in Spain recently I think the bible said somewhere, evil will never leave the earth. Its one of the things we have to live with Gun control will limit this. The incidence of this particular kind of violence is disproportionately high in the U.S. First you need to carry out proper and detailed checks before being able to get a gun permit or buy a gun. Second why are private citizens allowed to buy ASSAULT WEAPONS that fire with such accuracy and speed? Just by the name assault you know they are not meant for self defence. |

sinizia: In the hole o, outside the hole, behind the hole or even under the hole, Mata shits nada on KDB.
But Mata is at his best in the hole, too bad Van Goat converted him to a winger after his brace against Loserfool and ruined his chances of ever playing in the hole for Mourinho.
The only way of correcting that anomaly is getting a quality winger to stop Mourinho playing Mata on the wings. I won't lie to myself just because i am a United fan. Mata is not as good as KDB. Herrera is not as good as Kante, Rashford is not as good as Mbappe. Those who are happy to lie to themselves are free to continue though. |

joeace2020: And why is that? How can you even consider Tuanzebe for CB over Rojo. Rojo is a pure Mourinho defender. Aggressive and reads the game well. Can be a bit of a bellend like Luiz at chelsea but wil die to keep the opponent team out. Tuanzebe is too weak IMO, Lindelof still not tested in the league, Jones is a sick note, Smalling sees a lion head rolling towards him when he sees the ball.. Leaving us with only Rojo Tuanzebe is getting stronger every time cos he is young and growing. Rojo is aggressive but to me he does not read nada. That is why he has to make so many last ditch tackles inviting red card all day everyday. If Na by only aggression why not get shawcross or Wes Morgan too? Bailly is 1st choice, Jones when fit is 2nd. From next season I want Tuanzebe to be 4th choice at worst. The other guys should fight it out for 3rd choice and the losers should bounce. |

PietroRico: all Rojo's bad games came from LB, at least almost all. The moment he was given an extended run of games at CB, he started to excel. Momentary moment of rashness(when he decides to lose his head and starts to two foot players) aside, Rojo to me is a very welcome member of the squad. He got away with 2/3 last season in successive matches last season.. Lol.
Watching smelling tremble from before a ball is played to him to when he finally decides to pass it back to de gea after spreading shoulders is so disgusting. If Rojo had gotten the 3 to 4 red cards he deserved last season you people won't be saying all this. I wonder how much he sorted those referees lol. He and Smalling are almost on the same level in my opinion, same way Bailly and Jones are almost on the same level. Too early to judge Lindelof so we will wait and see. Final point is i don't want to see Tuanzebe's route blocked by a couple of mediocre defenders. He should be at worst 4th choice by next season. |

adisaaowala: I think it was majorly due to his rashness and agidi - tbh, I belong(ed) to the school of thought that saw Jones as a typical English defender that uses scoori & egun-ori
So far this season, he has shown the desired maturity & composure some of us have craved for..while keeping it solid and uncompromising.
His 1st major test comes up in 2 weeks time. He is partly to blame for that misconception to be fair. He is a player with quality on the ball and intelligence but who tries to prove he is a Shawcross clone. That is why he gets injured easily. His natural game is interceptions and blocks but he wants to be a tackling super hero |

PietroRico: I really hope we sell smalling while we can still get decent money from him. West ham are likely going to pay more. Stoke and westbrom would be good fits for him too and would be interested. When Rojo and lindelof become really available, it would make no sense keeping him around anymore I don't trust Rojo sef. Would see how things go with him when he gets back. All he had really was a 3 month purple patch. Smalling had 6 month patch under LVG. I say for next season promote Tuanzebe ahead of those guys and sell Smalling and MAYBE Rojo. |

adisaaowala: Hmmm...
Me thinks Jones should be managed the way Fergie Managed Rio when the CB was having chronic injury issues. I was pleased to see him rested vs CSKA. It wouldn't be a bad idea to see him subbed (with 10-15 mins left) against teams such as Crystal palace (when we are coasting to victory already ofcourse). Definitely agree with you. I was just talking about those that doubted his quality. If Jones and Bailly stay fit and DDG is at the back our defense is almost settled. Those 3 are that good. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 9:15am On Oct 02, 2017 |
I remember when we had those Jones debates. I have always believed in him rather than that Smalling that is barely a footballer and he is also better than that Rojo that was the flavor of the month last season. Jones and Bailly are our best CBs and it's not even close IMO. Will be assessed again when the new CB Lindelof settles down though. |

dopeJemi: actually Lukaku withdrew his foot when Fellaini came barging in, at first it seemed like Lukaku wouldn't touch the ball but replays from different angles showed that Lukaku would have kicked the ball with his right foot Lukaku was near but that ball had passed him. No way was he getting contact on it unless he grew 6 more inches of leg. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 9:19am On Oct 01, 2017 |
The statement that Fellaini scored goals meant for Lukaku makes no sense whatsoever, be it in the world of men or that of women.
For the first goal the ball had passed Lukaku before Fellaini tapped in at the far post. For the second goal Lukaku was back on the 6 yard line when Fellaini scored. And this one took place right in front of where i was seated.
I am not a great Fellaini fan but he was excellent yesterday and he deserved those goals. The only thing i can criticize him (and Matic) for was their reluctance to make forward passes through the lines. |

Criis: Guys, what's wrong with a front 3 of Rashford, Lukaku, Martial and Mata behind them? Why isn't it being tried?
Mkhi needs to start sitting again Nothing wrong at all. Against the right opposition it could be deadly. I think that should be the next step against small and mid-level teams |

SailorXY: what do make of a Zlatan-Lukaku upfront in a 3-5-2? my gut tells me that will be our default formation & striker partnership once the big man is fully fit. Too similar, not enough work rate and movement from them. Might be tried once or twice but i don't think it will be a resounding success. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 10:08pm On Sep 30, 2017 |
MRTA7: I like the idea of 343 in the big games.
Jones Smalling Bailly Valencia Matic Pogba Young Mikki Lukaku Rashford/Martial The wing back formation is a definite option in big teams however i would prefer 3-5-2. It gives us more solidity and control in midfield and it also ensures that Lukaku has a strike partner and is not isolated in attack. For big games e.g Chelsea and Man City i would go with Bailly-Jones-Lindelof in defence, Valencia-Herrera-Matic-Pogba-Young in midfield, Martial and Lukaku in attack with Rashford, Mata, Lingard and Mikki to come off the bench. The caveat is Lindelof should have acclimatized by then. If still struggling his place in the starting line up goes to Smalling. |
