Funlord I can only remember Shaw featuring once thise season and that was against Bournemouth. His performance was not bad. He actually put in a few tackles that was commendable. How exactly has Young or Damian played better than him this season? Which stat or condition are you using to judge? I get it that you have to defend Jose but performance wise Shaw put in a great shift in the only match he has featured this season.

If Jose wants to sell him off, he has every right to do so but all these media bad mouthing he no need am. If tomorrow now all other players turn on him where will he run to? If press ask about Shaw, what is the big deal in saying Shaw is a terrific kid, he is working hard to come back and will be ready very soon. With all the errors Stones and others did this season, I can't remember Pep washing them. Are they not still the ones he is using to push for top 4? When things go south him go begin find demons upandan.

You have said it all.
Mourinho talks too much and fights too much cos he creates too many enemies. Eroding the confidence of the young players and washing them in the public is not necessary. In these situations we should ask ourselves not "what would Jesus do" but "what would Sir Alex do"?
This is the slow and sure way to lose the drawing room and when these boys smell that the board is getting impatient they will down tools and Mourinho will be lamenting like Jeremiah again.

Real would be foolish to give us a young world class MIDFIELDER and CASH for a young world class GK.
I don't care how they set it up however because those 3 are very attractive possibilities but we are likely to get only ONE of them.

Young only played there out of necessity (injury crises)......but don't you feel if he can't own the position after almost 2 and a half years we should look for options! Have you read what some of his old coaches at southampton have said about shaw and his attitude?

Oh definitely it is time we looked for another option but that option is not named Young or Blind. As long as Shaw is here JM should make the best use of the boy and it is either he regains his form or we get good dollar for him in the summer, win-win situation. Sending him to Coventry like Shweini or Mikki who are veterans is not the way.

Mourinho creates too much turmoil and confrontation and that was why Charlton blocked his move to United after SAF.
The treatment meted out to Martial, Mikki and Shaw at different times this season was unnecessary. The boy won't regain sharpness by wasting away off subs bench and I find it hard to believe Young offers more than him at that position.

You are right. He has to improve his shooting mechanics though cos that his jump shoot would be very blockable and stealable by NBA caliber guards and wingmen. Then improve his side to side defending if he wants to play PG in the NBA.

Every manager ( even the great ones) has his weaknesses and limitations.
Mourinho is not an offensive guru and does not believe in youth. That is no knock on him, it's just the way he is. He has his own strong points too.

Pep is an attacking mastermind but can't coach defense or use average players. One can go on and on with every great manager.

If that is a response to my post then you are missing the point. I am not criticising Valencia for his career as a RB. What I said was that in the first 20-25mins of this particular game he didn't offer Bailly adequate protection.

Smalling's mistake was due to him mis hitting the ball with the wrong foot. I have always said that he is barely a footballer. His size and relative speed give him some quality as a defender but as a footballer he is subzero. A defender should be able to clear the ball expertly with both feet but for Smalling that is a Jamb question.
Who was the one arguing that Smalling was better on the ball or a better passer than Bailly. Smalling that can't pass the salt at a dinner table.

Jones is frustrating but if he can remain fit I will prefer him to Smalling cos he is more versatile and the more natural footballer.
