Perhaps if Europe and US did not meddle into middle eastern politics by trying to usurp their regimes, Arabs woukd not be flocking into Europe. Its Karma! |
It's not that she made the grammatical blunders that annoys me. It's the fact that other graduates on this forum are defending her with flimsy excuses. It just shows our attitude towards learning and re-learning |
Only cowards support Biafra. Its a case of the blind leading the blind. Yes I am igbo |
It is just appalling. These fools increasing fees benefited from free education. In UNN, the VC imposed a 70k laptop fee on every student, yet most buildings are not connected to the schools power grid. What type of bullshyte is this? |
Favparis:Please don't come here and expose your Hugh level of ignorance. Move to the entertainment section. |
Dear Biafran, That crusader of freedom is a strange weather Tickling your nostrils with hate You send your young to fight his father's war He sends his young to take your father's throne This is a script from political jobbers Rehearsed in the theatre of doom An exodus to the land of the rising sun Is an apolyptical myth in despair Ask the Libyans what came of the spring And the Syrians fleeing across the Mediterranean Freedom does not come when you wage a war Flanked by ghosts in army fatigues |
Kingstaplus:He died for a list cause. He chose to be used by other people with selfish interests. |
bukaldrinio:I am Igbo and I am not Jew. Please go and learn your history. Biafra puppet |
It's a pity. That a Nigerian youth in his 20s and 30s is waiting for stipends from the government is disheartening. When are we gonna be ready to snatch the mantle from these guys? We need to grow some balls |
After how many months, no comment. It shows the mentality of our youths |
Even the whites lay out under the sun to tan their skin brown/black, yet our menu girls still wan turn white |
AdaMeme:You just have inferiority complex |
warriboy21:For Yankees, where you can be anything you wanna be? I would take my chances |
warriboy21:What about photography? |
While we are preparing for our student visa applications/admission processes and celebrating our successes in obtaining our visas, one core issue we have not been discussing is how Nigerian students can raise extra pay apart from the campus jobs. What vocational skills or what are the means through which students can raise money. We need to discuss this so as to ease the pressure on us. |
No lele. Sir ruddy has given me more than enough materials to prepare |
bigfrancis21:Thanks. This is a morale booster. Someone told me it's not possible in the states. Make I begin jack GRE and prepare journal articles. |
bigfrancis21:Bsc: Sociology/Anthropology; Msc Anthropology. I intend to do my PhD in medical anthropology. |
what are the chances of one getting a lecturing job in the states after his PhD programme. I have a masters from UNN. I intend doing medical anthropology Can someone plz answer me? |
@bigfrancis: what are the chances of one getting a lecturing job in the states after his PhD programme. I have a masters from UNN. I intend doing medical anthropology |
Interesting thread. I plan to do my PhD in the states, during this time I plan to have my kids there so as to bag the US citizenship. Although the idea of relocating permanently seems tantalising, something deep down tells me that my kids may become cultural outcasts and forget their roots. I have decided that after my doctorate I may come back, but the idea of being exposed to world class institutions and possibly lecturing abroad still haunts me. It's a vicious cycle |
angieberry:See this menu. Where you wan reach, she don pass am |
Supermum:Hi supermum. I intend studying for my PhD in Canada. Please I would like to know how possible it is getting a lecturing job there after the programme as this is my passion. |
From the comments on thread, it is safe to assume that list Nigerians lack basic reading comprehension skills. |
I am also facing the same predicament. I have a 220k job in naija, but no passion for it, even after 3 years, despite the fact that there is room for growth. I am thinking of resigning to pursue my PhD (medical anthropology), as I would want to be a lecturer. My fear is if I would get a job there as a lecturer when I finish my PhD programme, because I believe that when I finish my course in an intellectually stimulating environment, I no go wan come back naija university. What do I do? |
[quote author=naijacutee post=38480343]You're right. I only used the Bible as a point of reference on this because it is likely that people will quote from the Bible (be fruitful and multiply) as a reason to pressure themselves into marriage. From a biological perspective: in a well populated world, there is no biological reason to marry & reproduce the same way we have biological reasons to feed, for example. Coming from a female, you nailed it! |
naijacutee:The bible you use as your point of reference is also a product or culture. The Jewish one. |
I think of this yeyebrities tip some of these super mods. The comments here never reach twenty, yet it made FP. I am seriously of the opinion that all these posts are sponsored. Who the fuc.k is nelly b? |
@Danjaninja: plz add me to the FB group. Chikasco@gmail.com |
The OP has already shown bias with her one sided argument. What of DIL that want to challenge the MIL? Go and ask freeze of cool FM whose firmer wife wanted to slap his mother. Una no see that one talk? |
