Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust:
Fighter Pilot: The Mokopa is a South African made AGM (air-to-ground Missile) and was initially meant to be utilised as an anti-tank. However, mokopa is now used for multipurpose and can be launched on various platforms http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mokopa. The mokopa can clear out targets at the range of 10km which is far the safest from ineffective Roland SAMs only 5.5km. I hope that I have made myself clear.
How does your spiritual magical and supernatural Rooival helicopter detect a Roland SAM among many other armoured vehicle from 10km distance ? Will some herbalist do the target identification for it ? You want to use a 300km speed helicopter against a 2,000km speed missile, and Roland missile max range is 8km, and Rooivalk helicopter has low altitude by force, its not a Gripen, Roland missile altitude is far above the the low helicopter altitude.

The helicopter option is worse than Grippen, it gets shot down more easily.

You changed your weapon from bad to worse. You failed military exams in the academy ?

Germany that built Roland with France know that helicopter cannot identify a small vehicle target with from 10km away, that's why companies build air defense missiles with range less much less than 10km because no aircraft can carry out air to ground attack on vehicle targets from high altitude plus long distance, ground target from air CANNOT be identified as different from decoy or civilian assets beyond range of 3km away especially a camouflaged Roland air defense in a bush or under special camp cover tents as I posted in the photos today or a Roland tactically hiding between 4 trailer trucks or among taller 3 story buildings.

Does a missile targeting pod or radar turn around corners of obstacles looking for a specific target ?

Have you invented something new to science this morning ?

You think air to ground attack is same as air to air BVR engagement ?

Why does NATO and American ground attack super aircrafts like A-10 Thunderbolt and Tornado get shot down by air defense in Iraq and elsewhere ?

They wanted to hit target and they have no choice than to come close about 5km and that is already about 15,000 feet still high and far.

You think Europeans who build Roland with that range are F00LS to build a Roland that helicopter will come and hit ? No record of any jet that his Roland in combat and you now bring a slow and low flying helicopter.....You drink alcohol ?

Argentina's Roland operator in Falkland war did a normal air defense tactical job by firing 8 missiles against 3 targets of British Royal air force, that is the battlefield standard, air defence fires extra missiles against incoming targets to ensure it shoots down everything of the enemy.

the Roland successfully h.it and d.estroyed all the enemy targets all at the same time, excellent Roland performance and record of its respected war history.

if you are infantry soldier in reaal war zone, and one enemy soldier faces you from a distance and he fires 2 bullets at you, will you fire only 1 bullet back at him because he is only 1 single man ? did you pass military academy exams or someone helped you to write your papers by fraudulent impersonation ?

Spain is NATO power still using Roland SAM today year 2013 just like Nigeria. Spain has money for weapons, not broke when it comes to military weapons buying. Spain paid about $10 Billion recently for 73 latest Eurofighter Typhoon far superior to Gripen. Spain still uses Roland SAM because it is still effective

souldust: @dictator why dont you go through another round of reading and compound your jealousy. This time, it is rio ferdinand.

The Manchester United player , Rio Ferdinand who grew up in Peckham, south London, in a recent interview in The Observer talked about his exposure to Africa.

He also said he was struck by the extremity of wealth
displayed by Nigerians! Here’s what he said:

In Lagos, I was struck by the extremes of wealth. It’s embarrassing to say you come from a ghetto in England once you’ve seen some of the poverty there.

I saw in Lagos opulence that was unbelievable. There’s a lot of money there,
south africans on nairaland have never seen the wealth of nigeria by travelling, they only depend on internet photos, they remain locked up in soweto cage for life.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 12:53pm On Jun 07, 2013
Fighter Pilot: Just once, Aguagust allow yourself to be corrected because you will only end up being laughed at. That crap you have written above about SAAB Gripen is very untrue.
you have nothing to correct me about, trace the root of the thread conversation that made me say Gripen jet is copy of Komet jet. @andrewza said a nigerian artillery of 1998 is not modern because it was developed from design of a 1945 artillery. so i replied his sarcasm by saying every jet aircraft in the world is a copy of the 1944 Komet jet the worlds first ever jet fighter, because every other jet aircraft today is based on the same scientific principles of the 1944 jet engine, the basic laws of physics and chemistry have not changed.

by the way how did yugoslavia sell 1,500 units of M56 artillery from 1998 to 2004 including powerful nations like pakistan if the gun is a 1945 copy technology ? pakistan has a better military than south africa and the pakis dont buy old inferior weapons.

the M56 sold 1,500 units around the world, but south africa G6 sold only 145 units around the world.

you see how south africa over-rates itself in everything ? including weapons manufacturing and sales !
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 12:41pm On Jun 07, 2013
saengine: South African G6 self-propelled gun achieves range record range of 75 km with a probable error of 0.38 per cent in range,
other countries in africa have guns that shoot up to 60km.

you south africans have never seen real army battles, you keep making noise about G6 artillery extra 10km or so range, who told you that in real battle the enemy army will be sitting down 70km away from you to be shelling them like a F00L ?

armies move with speed and close up any gaps so as to win territory, what was the distance between aouth african army and seleka rebels in combat ? 70km ? seleka was close enough to uproot south african army with 1980's old AK-47 rifles. grin
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 12:21pm On Jun 07, 2013
Defenceweb: I had to laugh at the part where this fool says the driver of the archer simply has to drive forward for 10 minutes to reach the same range of the G6. Hahaha....and then what if the driver of the G6 drives forward for 10 minutes after that, will your archer operator move forward by another 10? grin grin Such an idiotic comment.

Why would we want your M56 gun with 18km range when we have the G5 towed gun with 39km range? You can keep your old Soviet guns, we don't need them
all south africans have poor mathematics knowledge and very poor battlefield knowledge, i set a t_rap for y_ou in combat and you fell F00LISHLY inside my t_rap, the nigerian archer driver moves forward 10 minutes, and you F00LISHLY move south african G6 forward for 10 minutes to retaliate, you have actually reduced the G6 range by 20km, and you increase the archers range by 20km to become easier for my archer gun to h_it G6 on target because the two guns have moved closer to each other reducing the old gap by 20km !

you see why i said south africans dont knwo how to fight real war ? you are all nothing but copy and paste internet weapons commentators grin

south africa boasts of G6 gun with only 43 units, will that tine number win you a war ?

also countries buy 105mm guns of shorter range than 155mm because you may need to move the smaller artillery guns by aircraft to a far away battle zone accros mountains and rivers using helicopters or medium sized aircraft that can land on a short frontline rough airfield.

you see why i said all 5 of you south africans dont know one quarter of what i know about real battle field combat ?

nigerian and south africa both have about 76 units of 155mm artillery guns. google it all and dont be lazy.

i will reply your bad simulation of Gripen vs Roland tommorow, i wanted a time i can be on-line every 3 hours of that day to monitor your usual F00LISH combat tactics and teach you south africans the right way to fight a real war not internet photo and data copy paste.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 12:08pm On Jun 07, 2013
andrewza: Show me a credbil source that puts it at 200. Not the word of a simpil blogger.
I all so want to see the proof the nigeria has the archer 155mm. Not even your so loved blog does not menstion it.
counting nigerian artillery guns and looking for exact numbers in the armoury, refusing to accept one source, looking for more sources....what good does that do to you as a person ? wins a war for you ? wins an arguement ? increases your salary ?

do you have any other work you really do with your time apart from posting comments here on nairaland ?
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 12:02pm On Jun 07, 2013
andrewza: The one in china may be a corvet but nigeria is calling there's OPVs. So you should embrace what is a fact.
your information is old and out-dated, and also from ordinary internet public sources written by unknown people or civilians with poor military knowledge who think NNS ARADU is frigate because of size 125m and TYPE 056 is OPV because of size 95m. ships dont fight according to their size, they fight according to their weapons. you can only confuse yourself and not others who have a brain that works better.

Chief of Naval Staff, Vice-Admiral Dele Ezeoba NEVER called the two nigerian navy Type 056 as OPVs, he called them SHIPS nothing less, and that is the man with the highest level of information and authority about nigerian navy.

andrewza: most of the wepaons in nigeria are listed in iss or janes. even wepaons that bergel dose not have photos of. I am still waiting for you to tell me how it is modern.

type 90 is actually 1980 era.
show us, post a list of all existing nigerian weapons fully recorded from IISS and JANES, post it or you become a F00L forever !

Gripen jet is actually 1890 era, the aircraft was built in 1987 and could not enter service because it failed to fly well, and now that south africa has it, you cannot maintain the problematic Gripen jet, and you put hals of your air force in a cold freezer long term storage.

Gripen jet is an over-rated 1987 product....

south african m_others gave birth to a new generation of internet liars and f_raudsters as we see here on nairaland.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust:
andrewza: it is a copy of a 1945 american 105mm gun the only thing different is the protective shield.
compare it to the system on a G5. still think those guns are modern

Sources put the number of M56 in nigeria at 50, where do you see 200

Gripen jet is a copy of 1944 German world war II jet named Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet, it is the father of every other jet fighter existing today, so Gripen Jet too is not modern. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messerschmitt_Me_163

nigerian M56 artillery is a 105mm towed howitzer but south african G6 artillery 155mm is a self propelled howitizer and they are built for different type of combat ranges, one is 105mm but the other is 155mm, built for different purposes, so you are very wrong to compare the two, a sign that your military training is poor indeed.

nigerian Archer 155mm self propelled artillery compares well to south african G6 self propelled artillery, only difference is the extra 10km range of G6, and in real combat the archer operator simply drives his vehicle forward for 10 minutes and equals the range of the G6 if any need to close up the 10km gap of shooting range difference. in all technical perfomance capability like accuracy, both guns are equal. simple fact.

weblink source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archer_Artillery_System#Potential_and_future_operators

however, armies are not always 70km apart when the exchange artillery fire, especially when they want to capture territory, they both close in on each other to gain grounds.

back to the nigerian M56 artillery, it is a very modern gun that first came into service in 1998, the south african G6 gun is actually 10 years older! i dont know why @andrewza tells open lies about whose weapon is more modern ! south africans are fraudsters.

nigeria has 200 units of M56 artillery not 50, no way, it is 200 guns we have, and all brand new, but south africa has zero, nothing in the class of 105mm artillery, not one single piece !

Nigerian army builds new hi-tech spy devices launched into space 300,000 feet above earth

may 18, 2013 breaking news

The Nigeria Army said it has developed intelligent devices that will tackle the Boko Haram insurgency.
The Nigerian Army on Wednesday boasted that it has developed hi-tech devices capable of gathering information and intelligence to tackle the Boko Haram insurgency and other acts of terrorism across the country.
The General Officer Commanding, 2 Div., Ibadan, Ahmed Tijani, made the disclosure at a lecture held at the Army formations headquarters in Ibadan.

Major General Ahmed Tijani GOC 2 Division of Nigerian Army, said the sophisticated devices, in form of balloons, were unveiled in 2012. they have the capabilities of both spy aeroplanes and spy satellites, and will be used to monitor troop movements and regiment size, and gather other different types of military combat intelligence.

According to Mr. Tijani, the technology has been upgraded and has a 84 kilometer launch into space.

The Guest Speaker, Brigadier General Nwokoro Ijioma, spoke on the theme, “Transforming the army into a force better able to meet contemporary challenges”.

He said the balloons would be deplored to the hotbeds of terrorism attacks in the country.
Thousands of Nigerians have been killed by insurgents in Northern Nigeria; particularly by the Boko Haram sect.

i said it this morning, south african weapons manufacturing is no longer better than nigeria because each country has chosen what it wants to build for according to its own different defense policy, plans, and needs.

time proves me right again. i said on this forum that nigeria is developing secret weapons including long range missiles already test fired to 120km range at Epe coastal lagoon area of lagos state. now who know what nigerian military has reserved for a big surprise to its e.nemy ? south africa is NO threat to nigeria, they just make a lot of noise and photo/videos. nigeria is a secretive unbeatable military power on the whole african continent.

in addition to nigerian satellites, these new space devices now enables nigerian army to further its monitoring of all south african Gripen jets in flight down below it and all south african paveway or umbani guided bombs and missiles, and also another method of targeting and sinking the whole south african navy in any naval blockade attempt with artillery from the coast or from nigerian navy's 12 blue water warships NNS ARADU, NNS THUNDER 1, NNS THUNDER 2, NNS ENRINMI, NNS ENYIMIRI, NNS ANYAM, NNS SIRI, NNS EKUN, and the FOUR BRAND NEW STEALTH GUIDED MISSILE FRIGATE arriving from next year 2014.

Nigeria now climbs to the top of new current african military ranking...shares number one rank with Egypt.

it is now proved that nigeria has many unkown secret military high technology equipment, hardware and weapons to defeat any country in africa from cape town to cairo.

long live the giant of africa ! God bless nigeria.

patriot4: So if I get you right, all we need to do is put a computy next to the gun to call it modern !
You really think warzones are beauty salones, don't you ?
The use of the gun is governed by the laws of physics, so as far as the man using it can do the calculations, there is no need for a computer (if the guy is tired of calculating then he can always use a calculator).
This is the one thing SA military industry is good for: making unnecessary adjustments of weapons.
hi bros did you see the new nigerian army built hi-tech spy device now launched into space ? i posted on page 306.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 12:25am On Jun 07, 2013
andrewza: A hull is a hull and can be made in to many diffrent thinks. So just because the ones in china haver a certain stuff dose not mean the one in nigeria will be the same.
It not call a OPV bbecause it ment to patrol against american warships. A OPV by there nature are not suited to fight war ships. It may be larger but that dose not mean more wepaons.

The thing is no one knows what wepaons it will have. The only thing for sure is that NN is calling it a OPV. So stop calling it a frigate when it is not a frigate.
You are a bloody fool who knows nothing yet thinks he is the smartest man alive. You distort truths, come up with your own facts and complian when people call you out.

I am still waiting on your source for the T-craft by the way.
who cares about your opinion ? i dont work under your command, do i ? you think a lot about how you believe people value your comments, you lost public respect long ago on nairaland.

Type 056 stealth guided missile light frigate, if you dont like it, go j_ump off the top of a skyscraper in johannesburg grin, your w_ife will find another h_usband grin

i will not do research and post south african T-craft for you, find source and lets see the aluminium old boat your navy uses for secret fishing when their admiral is not looking. grin
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust:
andrewza: That website is out of date. It never gets any updats. Any case all nigerias wepaons are listed dose not matter that they not on there website or not.
your reply makes no sense, did you think before you wrote ?

there are confirmed official records of south african military weapons easy to count. nigerian weapons have no written official source we can use to count them. if beegeagle did not post photos of Type 90 AAA and i say it here on nairaland that nigeria bought a new modern air defence gun that was developed in china more recent than your Gripen jet will you ever believe me ?

Gripen Jet tech service date 1997
Type 90 Anti-aircraft gun tech service date 1999.

you always wish other countries dont have modern weapons, only south africa, how is that possible ? other powerful countries are not F00LS !
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 11:04pm On Jun 06, 2013
andrewza: Many were in front of some interesting things. And if these weapons are so secret why are they cropping up on beegel all the time.

This notion that nigerian army has all these secrets is Bull. The only way to keep all these secret weapons hidden is to not use them, meaning they then become useless since no one will know how they work.
by secret, we mean...

south african army website shows all your major weapons and lists their types and numbers with photos.
official website http://www.army.mil.za/

nigerian army website does NOT show any weapons list or photos.
official website http://www.army.mil.ng/

compare the two websites in the links for each one above. sure you got the message clear now.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 10:52pm On Jun 06, 2013
andrewza: most OPVs have main gun it can be any thing from a 20mm up to 76mm, few have helipads, and even few have space for millsiels. But weapons are not what makes a warship it only part of it. However i don't care what your OPV carries no one knows yet. So calling it a Guided missile frigate is foolish. Only thing we know is that it is a OPV and has germain engines.
dont tell lies against me, the chinese manufacturers called it a guided missile light frigate and listed its weapons, guns, missiles, ECM, and the nigerian warships are even bigger than the original chinese navy versions so why should it be less armed ?

people call the ships OPV because they are built to patrol sea of china and defend against american navy warships and submarines in the south china ocean near taiwan and japan, yet the whole world knows it carries the weapons of a frigate and china's navy is using it to replace even bigger frigates that are not stealth.

http://www.topnews.in/law/chinese-navy-gets-new-stealth-frigate-2132652

the 2 nigerian navy new stealth warships will be bigger than the same type in china's navy. its name therefore has been re-coded as P18N, no more Type 056 Frigate. for this class of warships nigerian navy versions are bigger and better than the original chinese navy versions. original Type 056 is 89m, but nigerian version is 95m, we expect it to be better armed as a specially customized warship and have a longer range/endurance days at sea.

everybody chooses the name they want to call the warship but most people call it two names together at the same time, eg OPV/Corvette, Light Frigate/ Corvette, etc.

andrewza: you assume the shot has to happen well it is in the air? I also wonder how useful this will be when it is jammed. It is useful though to watch borders but it no war machine
if you say things about an equipment, different from what the equipment manufacturer says, like the Type 056 light frigate and this new spy devices in outer space, you make your adult age look like a w_asted l_ife of poor learning and self-made illiteracy, most people now look down on y_ou as a grown up man not worthy of listening to, people believe you intentionally mislead them on nairaland just to score your own points.

see, whatever we do in this life, let us not be selfish, think of helping other people when you can, dont always be selfish about scoring cheap points and mis-informing people in the process.

i try my best on this forum to help other people learn about war and weapons from me, i am not perfect, yet my imperfect self is willing to share my own knowledge with people who dont have access to military things.

a country can win arguement on nairaland and lose out in real war when the day of battle comes.

Defenceweb: agaugust has OFFICIALLY lost his OWN challenge. He spent the last two days trying to Google answers but never found them. South African Hawk jets can take out Nigerian air defence without coming close to your Roland missiles. Your time to respond has passed. You were given all the time in the world, you promised a detailed response but it never came. Luckily for you this thread is anonymous, so you can enjoy your embarrassment in the privacy of your own home.
people dont shake me, i dont work under you, so i dont respond to your command, i do my post when i wish to, i have all my points ready even before i asked you guys to simulate Gripen Vs Roland.

ask @andrewza, he knows me better, i dont rush war simulation because i am not a copy and past internet military commentators like you south africans.

all the 5 of you made bad simulation and i am not impressed even by your own air force officer @Fighter Pilot, he does not know how to simulate....its a bit like a research project....you guys all failed the first step...no assumptions stated, you guys just jumped into a battle field with no assumptions...go back to page 236 and check my own naval blockade simulation, i made 7 assumptions and your south african photo/video soldier andrewza made zero assumptions...you gonna get k_illed in w_ar that carelss way my friend !

dont try push me to act like a d_ummy b_rain...i am not one !

i will post my own Gripen jet Vs Roland SAM simulation piece by piece, too much details at the same time will be too much for all your 5 south african b_rains combined to understand.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust:
andrewza: If it is so secret why are there so many photos of Nigerian soldiers posing in front military hardware like they on porn star. If they so secret why is beegel allowed to post all these pics.

Over all nigerian logic is wak. In SA many o those pic could get you in to deep trouble. CI rule number one. Dont speak about what is not public knowledge.
many nigerian weapons are secret, nigerian soldiers are not secret human beings. no nigerian soldier's personal photo showed any secret weapon , only their APC or rifles. all those photos in uniform and posing are the soldiers personal photos, not official. Type 90 AAA is known by the chinese manufacturer, but the army never announced when they bought them, they keep it secret in a sense of....if people get to know, okay, but if not, we the army will not announce the weapons.

faces of many south african soldiers are available on free internet google search including some of your 8 'scarce and precious' Gripen Jet pilots.

God bless nigeria.

andrewza: OPV not corvet and not a frigate, it all so close to the amount of local stuff in the valour frigate's whitch are far more advanced. Not to mention SA will soon build a number of corvettes/OPVs IPV in SA.
show me a source to prove that nigerian type 056 has weapons different from the ones published in all websites and reports. show me and give me the list of the nigerian weapons and prove to us ithas no missiles and anti-submarine capabilities , prove it of else i will call you a permanent F00L from the w.omb

south african plans to build a number of corvettes/OPV IPV is a wish list that has no money to fund it, your country cannot even maintain over half of its Gripen jets, keep on dreaming...one of your valour frigates engine was due for replacement sometime recently. dont dream of many weapons south africa has no money to buy.

Fighter Pilot: You cannot use anti-aircraft guns against new generation fighter jets, because the pilot will safely fly out of range of such guns and hit you from the long range.
you are wrong, new generation jet fighters CANNOT provide close air support to their own soldiers at high altitude to avoid 'friendly fire errors'. south african air force academy trained you very poorly. you south africans have a wrong idea that jet fighters perform miracles at high altitude against ground targets, no way, they can only do air to air dog fights or BVR engagements against enemy aircraft.

your air force uniform i keep hanging on a mango trr until you learn real art of war, then i give you and @andrewza one ladder each to get your uniforms down from tree top.

andrewza: though i still prefer using a accredited source like janes or ISS over a nigerian blog. find me 800 guns.
http://beegeagle./2012/05/16/exclusive-nigerian-artillery-assets-consistently-under-enumerated-in-military-balance-reports/

ISS says 506 and your so loved beagel says 590
who cares ? find you 800 guns in nigerian artillery, for what ? does that win you a war ? nigeria has about 1,000 artillery if you like dont believe. do we get paid for spending our time on nairaland ? if i do anything i do it for nigerians to know their weapons and NOT to satisfy you. who are you ?
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 6:18pm On Jun 06, 2013
andrewza: Where do you see 200 guns or modern guns at that.
Your computer has google, M56 Yugoslavian artillery a very modern weapon 200 units Nigerian army just bought.

Make a habit of using your own time to search on google, stop wasting peoples time.

andrewza: that video was pics taken from space. It does not show any planes being tracked. So please dont think we are ignorant friends that believe every thing you say.
Maybe y.ou w.ere b.orn b.lind or v.ultures p.lucked out y.our two eyes while you slept.

That you tube video is clear and simple for people who are not under a h.erbalist's s.pell
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 6:07pm On Jun 06, 2013
andrewza: Since when is the type 90 modern. New yes but modern?

That is a BTR3 (not a nigerian one either) doing a mud test, all AFV should be able to do it.
You just m.essed up yourself, Gripen Jet is older than Nigerian Type 90 anti-aircraft defense built to shoot down high speed 4.5 generation jets launching air to surface attacks. Gripen jet is older you d.umb g.oat, google is your friend and I posted details of page 300.

If you keep posting deliberate lies I will put you on the list of men without honour.

.

@all South Africans, can you Soweto half b.rains try to prove all these strange claims you post on nairaland ? apart from weapons you copy and paste from south African websites, 90% of what you post have no single web link source to prove your claims and nobody wants to believe you except among your fraudulent selves

.

andrewza: You do know it is a form of low jaking, that those planes, ships, cars or any thing with a transponder sends infomastion and it's locastion to siad saterlight. You did know that right?
that video proved you wrong by showing that satellites can track/monitor fast moving objecs and relay/transmit the information in real time with or without transponder, that is my point, dont reduce scientific advancement of the world backeards just because you lied and i proved you a liar.

many things done by satellite, city traffic jam control centers/rooms watch the cars moving in traffic on the streets watched and relayed by staellites, did the government put transponders on all cars in the country for monitoring ? are you living in a village bush or thick jungle forest ?

now show everybody here on nairaland your own web link sources to prove that satellites don't track and relayoving objects because when Brazil scores world cup goal in Germany people will not see the goal until one hour later in South Africa during a live football match transmission.

We are all waiting for web link sources to prove your fake claim of satellite capability

i wont waste my precious time arguing with you on simple science/technology facts that the whole world knows and uses since many years ago.
