Ok...Think, Nigerian has been relating and participating actively in foreign troops operation long before South Africa emerged from darkness of apartheid, suddenly the dunce-brained among them are claiming to be better experienced and wiser than Nigeria's multi decade institutional experience. If that's what you were thinking, then your military belong to the bye-gone years! When was a conventional war fought last between African countries, and what's the ratio of conventional to non-conventional wars in Africa in last 30yrs? If your military policy planners can't figure this simple logic through, then you are bunch of bad jokes.

Basically, every national Army (Navy, Airforce) is prepared for conventional warfare, but practical realities is that most likely is that they will fight non-conventional types.

So Strong forces like Nigerian military have learnt and adapted to both types of warfare! Anybody who thinks that what happened in Baga is a mistake, go to your village and organize guerrilla attacks on Nigerian troops there, then you will see a repetition. I am no supporter of civilian attacks, but it is only people who are unaware of arts of non-conventional warfare that can't figure this out. There's nothing gentleman at all about it. Our troops learnt it bitterly in their first deployment to Liberia, the very civilian they were trying to protect shot them at the back. The little boys and girls they tried to protect killed many of them.

Since then, they learnt that aspect of assymetric warfare; if you are caught in the wrong place during firefight, pray to your god for safety.

Now SANDF is learning, only that you could have saved yourselves from disgrace if you had taken lessons on peacekeeping/enforcement in Africa. but you foolishness will never allow you. Next time, make una jump enter hot situation with pictures of your shiny weapons without learning the international politics and nuances of the matter, CAR go be child-play.

Did you know sa was providing CAR army with equpment including personal gear, wepaons a few vechicls extra. Those items where left behind along with a radio at the traing base near presdtial palace(only thing worth any value) and vechiels abondon due to operstiol needs.

It how ever dose not mean sa was defeated. The primary objective of the mission was to protected the training gear at the poliece stastion out side of town and the training personal. This was achieved.

I was replying to a poster who asked for proof that South Africa trains NATO troops from time to time, and I showed him the video of troops from Netherlands getting survival training in South Africa. There were no Americans in that video. So you are saying that youtube video is fake? What kind of a st*pid person are you?
