Recently, I have been making several research concerning God and the Bible. I have come to the conclusion that: 'God isn't who we think he is'.

But I'll just delve right into it, starting with the book of Genesis.
Let's assume Moses was 100% correct about creation(not sure how he saw it). However, there exist discrepancies from what we've been to taught and what the Bible actually points out, especially regarding what happened between God, Adam and Eve.
The Bible tells us God created Adam and Eve, put them in Eden and gave them dominion over everything but placed a restriction on the tree of knowledge of good and bad. Why? No reason was given except a strong warning : 'In day you eat from it you certainly will die'.

Then came the entity we were taught to be the Liar(Satan through a serpent). His claim was opposite of God's : You certainly will not die, for God knows the day you eat from it you will be like him knowing good and bad.

Who was right? Only one way to find out.

They took the fruit. And from what the Bible shows, they did not die that day, and yes, they started knowing. First, their unclothedness, which led to the first invention: making of cloths from plants.

What is even shocking is God's reaction. He was angry they knew they were naked. Why? Why make them live in naked and mental darkness?
He chased them out. Why? Notice what Gen 3:22 says: 'Here the man has become like one of us in knowing good and bad. Now in order that he may not put his hand out and take fruit also from the tree of life and eat and live forever' .

What kind of picture of God is this verse trying to paint? Who was he conversing with? What did he mean by 'we've become like them'? Are we gods too? Why were they hell bent one making us mentally dormant? Why try to stop us?
Was he scared of what we could accomplish? Yes! When man planned to create an edifice,

Notice what Genesis 11: 6&7 says - "Look! They are one people with one language, and this is what they have started to do. Now there is nothing that they may have in mind to do that will be impossible for them. Come! Let us go down there and confuse their language in order that they may not understand one another’s language.”

Once again, the Bible paints a God feeling insecure/ threatened and plans to disrupt progress of Man.
Today, man has achieved even greater. We have invented so much and can do practically anything (maybe).
Yet, We've defended God who wanted us dormant despite this and labelled the Devil as bad despite the fact he spearheaded the liberation.

Funny enough, we've been made to believe Man plunged himself into sin, suffering and death. Really? No! Genesis 3:16-19 says otherwise (read it yourself). Our suffering and death came from one source, the same source who promise to give us everlasting if we submit to him.

My Verdict : God is tyrant. And we've defended him long enough.

Yes time has come to fight him, expose him for who he is and disgrace him.

Sup guys. I've something that have always earned the acme of my discountenance. And that's how men crudely jump into marriage in other to conform to societal dictate or for some selfish satisfaction.
This have gotten me pensive and I'll make no ado in getting to the nucleus of the issue.

Yesterday, I was headed toward gwarimpa, and on my way I noticed a disheveled young guy around Efab estate trekking by the express.
As a rule, I always give such guys 'lift,' because i was once with a female colleague in a lonely path that seldom have cars coming our way, suddenly one private car stopped and when I tried entering after my female colleague boarded, the SIMPson bounced me out and zoomed off with an empty back seat.

That incident birthed in me a sense of solidarity and understanding of what men go through just for being men, but yesterday, I was so incensed by a botch job my mechanic did that I drove past. After about 4 hours when I had everything sorted and was heading back, I saw the same guy heading toward my direction again(it's a dual carriage way) and he was sweating profusely, so I beckoned on him to enter. We got talking and I inquired why he's trekking such a long distance. He said: he went to look for a job that wasn't successful and he's going back to Arab road.
But this is just a miniscule of the guy's travail. He grew up in abject poverty.In fact, they gave birth to him and his sister in an uncompleted building. His dad died in that building, his sister got pregnant for some riffraff and they started what we call "abuja marriage", his mom subsequently fell sick and died in the same uncompleted building. Then the owner of the building decided to complete it, and drove him away.

Now, this guy was able to get another uncompleted building to stay, and as I'm typing this, he's with wife and kids. This is a person that don't have food at home and can not afford N150 to and fro.

I gave him 10k but I was so mad with him; I mean, I was disconcertingly appalled that this guy will think of marriage in his privation. Why not be a little bit comfortable before considering marriage, instead to face life with the dignity of a breadline.

Sadly, this is the same mistake lot of guy's have been making thinking they'll fall into some stupendous money as soon as they marry, and this is mostly perpetuated by religious charlatans who say; a man's destiny is predicated on his future wife, that as soon as he gets married, the special blessing tied to marriage will start opening way for him.

That's a mendacious twaddle that will leave you in a precarious situation. Please guys, have 'comfort' afoot before you dabble into marriage.

As far as I'm concerned, all religions are tools of mind control. It's all political, nothing about salvation.

Even if a person learns some mysteries of the universe and forms a new religion (or cult) around them, a wise person doesn't indulge in such a religion.

Doing so will limit a person's development, both physically and spiritually (mentally).

So, one needs to read wide and approach things with an open mind.

There are some elements of truths in every religion but the trash in each one of the religions pales in comparison with the truths in it.

I went to a public gathering today to hear and know more about people's opinions of things. Six guys gathered, discussing life issues. In no time at all, they have switched over to religious topics. I was very happy at the switch because it's what I wanted to hear from the public all the while. I was not disappointed to see that five of them were against religion, especially the Christianity religion. Only one of them was in support, but not wholeheartedly though. I was just nodding among them, enjoying myself

What did they say? A guy confessed how he was punched in the stomach severely while being asked to vomit the object of Satan in his body. He actually went for deliverance at Mountain of Fire. He said when the punches were too much, he had to let saliva flow out of his mouth so that they can leave him alone.

He also talked about a community in his land where there were 20 churches but one school and one health care. The guy was very furious at Christianity and was critically condemning King James who wrote the King James Version of the Bible. He emphasized that African eyes are getting opened.

I will encourage every 'backslider' on nairaland to continue working hard to free up African minds as they are doing now, because it's really having impacts in our society.

They also discussed how churches have used them for free labour in building their universities and schools. Churches used their members to carry bricks, blocks, sands while constructing secondary schools and universities which the poor church member children could not attend.

Another person outrightly said that religion is a scam, without fear or favour.


Pls let all irreligious people keep up with the good work of opening their eyes. Then Africa will get there. Religious nuisance will be rid off our society.

I'm very happy today for what I hear on the streets.

You're foolish to be commenting on what you don't know. The chapters have different histories, named after the entity/speaking in each chapter.

Otem is just doing the compilation of these histories of different entities and humans. There are chapters on Atum (where he was narrating a history), Faulkin (Yeshua), Luwabi (in Yorubaland), Gaia, Hypatia, and lots of others.

In some parts, those histories are reported using first person pronouns. So it's not Otem speaking as Atum, etc. There are separate chapters on Otem's history and philosophy.

HOW CAN THEY UNDERSTAND? THEIR BRAINS HAVE BEEN WASHED OFF BY THEIR GODS WHOM THEY WORSHIP. I DONT ARGUE OR TRY TO EXPLAIN TO SUCH PIPO.

Atonement of blood was needed for this reconciliation because without the shedding of blood, there couldn’t be forgiveness of sins. That is why Jesus laid down his life by His death on the cross. You might want to ask “why Jesus?” it had to be Jesus because His blood was pure and without blemish. He was sinless. Only His blood could accomplish what the blood of rams and bulls could not do.
Now that the work of salvation has been perfected by Jesus, all you need to do is repent, confess and forsake your sins, admit Jesus into your life and believe in Him. You then become a child of God and you have eternal life in you. It is written “as many that received Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons (daughters) of God, even to them that believe on His name” John 1:12. Another portion of scripture says all that believe in the Lord will never be ashamed.

I ‘ld also want you to know that the scripture says it’s only through Jesus that we can reach the throne of God. John 14:6. You can look up the Bible for yourself. The Bible goes further to say that “he that believes in the Son (Jesus) has everlasting life, and he that does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” John 3:36.

So that you can escape the tribulation and destruction that shall come at the end of the world and the eternal damnation after this life. You need to surrender your life to Christ. No matter how wicked or bad you think your sins are, He said he will forgive you.

I counsel you, my dear friend, to repent today so that you may have eternal life with Christ.
If you have decided to give repent and give your life to Christ, please pray this short prayer.
