my brother the thing is terrible..but what is baffling about all is this is that the Yoruba guys I met and so business with don't express this level of hate against we Igbos..i don't know if am wrong please correct me.

The Fulanis have killed countless Obas in to run land, killed countless of there people, kidnap there famous and reverse leaders, kill the daughter of their tribal leader and yet they still find way to love them more than those that has never attempted to take their lives in their own home soil.

No Yoruba has any problem with SS, Middle belt or even Northerners today and currently. We have no problem with them living with us in the SW.

They are an international company and they are leveraging on the clout Lagos and its forebears have built even before Seplat came to life.

Those being told straight to leave Lagos are those who hate their Yoruba hosts and it is to deliver them from unfruitfulness; if you hate your host their land will not bless you.
Seplat is owned by people of different nationalities now and moving its hq to Imo state is even an insult to its brand.

On the financial gains, Seplat recorded a rise in profit before tax by 15.3 per cent to N86.7b from N71b year-on-year. The company also generated cash from its operations to the tune of N242.4b from N150.9b year-on-year, rising by 51.6 per cent.

The energy company also grew its revenue by 29.8 per cent to N403.9b from N293.6b year-on-year; as its gross profit soars to N197.2b from N114.2b year-on-year, rising by 63 per cent.

Commenting on the results, Chief Executive Officer, Seplat Energy Plc, Roger Brown, said: “I am delighted that our strong financial performance will enable the payment of a US7.5 cent final dividend, despite the significantly disrupted production we experienced in the second half of the year. The full-year dividend of US15 cents represents a dividend yield of around 11 per cent at the current LSE share price.

“As we enter 2023, the business is in a very healthy state, with new wells coming onstream, encouraging appraisal drilling underway at Sibiri, and alternative export routes ensuring good export performance in January and February this year.

“Our gas business continues to develop, with first gas expected from ANOH in Q4 this year, and we are now in the process of separating our Midstream Gas business from the Upstream unit to unlock new value for shareholders.

“We are implementing our roadmap to net zero and have made encouraging progress with a 35 per cent reduction in emission intensity last year. The major reduction in carbon emissions is routine flaring which we are on target to eliminate by the end of 2024.

“Alongside these efforts, and as part of our stated strategy to become Nigeria’s energy champion across the entire value chain, we are planning to invest in gas-to-power and solar power projects with FID targeted for later this year if the projected returns meet our internal hurdle rates.

“We are confident in our outlook for 2023, with the new Amukpe-Escravos Pipeline working well, our drilling cost reductions and efficiencies being delivered, and ANOH’s first gas expected in Q4 once third party infrastructure is completed, our business is on a firm footing to facilitate significant growth and higher returns for stakeholders,” he stated.

My brother atimes it's not worth it replhing kids on this forum..most of the so called noaie makers here are born less than 25 years ago.

It was in my presence that the igbos developed trade fair that was originally swamp land..Apart from the lagos chamber of commerce building there for lagos trade far that was usually busy every November when they have the yearly lagos trade fair addendum.

That location was converted to what it is today in 1995, when Ojukwu came to commission the complex in my before...The same goes to Alaba into, which was just a swamp and nothing shirt of a slum within the same time.

The lagos govt did not do jack in that neighbourhood but that's not my issue for now..lets just replicate and all this insult will stop once and for all.

I was discussing with my dad over the issues happening in the middle belt and the old man simply said,"NIGERIA IS UNGRATEFUL", and I asked, dad, why did you say that? he replied," If you see the number of middle belt youths that died keeping Nigeria one, you will curse all those troubling their children today".
My dad was a veteran of the civil war, though as an Igbo, he fought on the Biafran side as expected, he for once never believed that the middle belt will for one day be treated this way after the so much sacrifice they made for this country.

Now, am writing this piece with apologies to other ethnic nationality who have also contributed to the success of Nigeria on one way or the other..But am getting to point out that the middle belt has suffered unjustly with treatment that is not commensurate to their contributions to this State called Nigeria.

The few appointments they enjoyed over the years can not be measured to what they deserved compared to what other Sally's have enjoyed in the present day Nigeria and yet, they did not complain...All they ask for is just peace..Then I ask, is it too much to ask?

No nation succeeds with such an amount of impunity and gross injustice, I bleed and weep for the middle belt as a patriotic Nigerian and I urged al irrespective of tribe or political affiliation to at least stand for what is right and say enough of the killings in the middle belt under whatever guise..lets not pretend that all.is welll because we are not feeling the heat now.lets lend our voices to comdeme evil and aways speak in solidarity with this people as Nigerians.

He picked up two agents of the PDP at the Mann street boot of the Ikenegbu ward one and subsequently did same on other boots.

While another agent of the APC governor, the S.A to the governor on special duties and his thugs attckwf and injured the PDP agent who was reportedly stabbed with broken bottles and being hospitalised at the Federal.medical center as we speak.

Every other party agents have been chased out of the polling unit as voters are being threatened to vote for APC or go home...The commissioner of Police is hereby notified along side other security agents to as a matter of urgency look into the excesses of the APC in Imo state.

I knew long before now that Wike has only one option and that option is to support Tinubu. Wike has gone too far into his battle with Atiku that gambling may be disastrous for his future. G-5 govs' decision, therefore, is not a surprise to me, and I don't expect anybody to be surprised either. Wike is a politician and the only thing that can help his political career at the moment is to support Tinubu and ensure he defeats Atiku. He will be a fool to do otherwise.

I laugh at the likes of you that are under the erroneous insinuation that Obi is struggling for support in the East.
The Kanu debacle should have taught you people a lesson on the mentality of the Igbos..The Igbos are the easiest people to lead and get their fanatical support only if you just say the truth.
Obi is the only politician from the east that has done that in recent time.. So if you think that one useless slowpoke will influence our vote against on then you are still living in Mars.
No leader I repeat no Governor can influence any outcome. Even the so called G5 governors lead by the fool called Wike..Am in Rivers trust me, we go shock am..except say no be BIVAS again.

Regards the issue of marriage and divorce. All I have to say is that this is more psychological and sometimes even spiritual than what you can understand normally.
The psychological aspect is the failure of some guys to read in-between the lines and understand the trend at which ladies operate and the background your lady is coming from and co-relating to what you want as a person.

Not every woman is meant for marriage either by design or default. If you are mature and sane enough you will notice it as you guys play along except if you are naturally daft or carried away by her knacking skills.
Some guys again fail to understand that there are classes of ladies.know this and know peace. Mingle with your class or slightly below your class and don't make any mistake in marrying a woman that you love more than she loves you.
Again, don't flaunt wealth around a lady as an arbiter to win her love. You will never tell the degree of love and don't marry a highly materialistic lady when you know you are not from a rich home.
Make sure you study her family background before you go into marriage, and check the kind of relationship the parents enjoy amongst themselves again if you are the highly moral type be very observant before you marry a lady whose mum died earlier in life and ended up in the hands of guidance cos her orientation must be very different either a good one or the bad.

As for you, follow this simple tips-
Treat your woman with respect.
Cherish her as your own.
Give her all the attention in the world.
Tell her the truth always except in some special occasions.
Pet her always and learn to pacify her.
Buy her gift.
Take her out.
Don't cheat on her. Cos it's better you marry a woman that you love than marry for a reason and cheat.
Make her opinion count.
Make her feel important
Always seek advise from her and end up making your decision as the man.
Knack her wella.
With this few tips you see them loving you like an idiot cos women are better lovers than we guys. A woman's love never dies except you give her a reason to kill the love.

What I have to say in this context is that we as a people have lost our most prized possession and that is our values. I will not equate my argument with the subjects in this topic cos it's normal that celebrities all over the globe are none for being fake in their dealings. But I speak from the general contextual terms surrounding this institution called marriage as it was handed over by our fore fathers.

A guy made mention of our cultural approach to marriage and some folks are busy saying thrash against his submission. The truth of the matter is that we have embraced the very negative side of westernization and forgotten to hold the positive side.
Every Nigerian lady after watching Netflix wants to behave like the whites, and our dear Nollywood is not helping matters as they tend to script movies that do not portray our very values and some dumb skulls will take it to heart like, it's the way to go.

In those days, Divorce is Taboo in Igbo land as it is very difficult to send a woman parking out of her husband's house without the consent of the family. You don't even have the right to maltreat a woman when the parents and siblings are still alive, talk more of beating her for they are consequences for this actions.

But this day, we all want to be more English than the British Man. Even Christianity frowns at divorce so this ugly trend sweeping our society today is a result of a general breakdown of moral associated with copying what we are not smart enough to understand.

Very soon we will drift towards not taking care of our aged parents in the coming future cos that is what we are seeing in foreign movies or copied from the whites as a result of travelling overseas.. We should stick to what works for us and jettison that which was originally made for the whites cos no matter how hard we try, we can nevwr be like the whites..Atleast our bad leaders will remind you where you are when the chips are down.

Hello everyone am thing with a heavy heart cos this thing called spirituall spouse is tormenting my life.
I have gone to many places yet no solution I have spent all I have yet no show. The spirit keeps appearing to me in my dreams to make love to me. And each time tbis happens I will experience difficulties, set backs and ill lucks.

Please guys help me out with advice or places you guys know that can handle this cos am really freeking out.
