good morning everyone , please nairaland 'i applied for a two course through http://www.ccds-berlin.de/index.php?en_certificate_cdeaa . and they asked me to send my CV, MY INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT ,PERSONAL STATEMENT ' e:g why i want to take the course with them and i did . i checked my email this morning ROSIE has replied asking me to pay 525 euro for upon that they will send me an invitation letter . the 525 euro does not include accommodation, transportation .please does anyone in this forum know about this center for Cultural Diplomacy studies Berlin ?they also provided their account details all in Berlin. please i want to be sure before i will reply them . if they are real or not. thanks enjoy your holiday .HAPPY INDEPENDENCE .

Reporting live from bremerstraBe 23, kiel.
The Nigerian guys i met in my dorm has really been helpful,sorted all my registration in a day.....set out around 0700hrs got back around 1500hrs.
i did the registrations in this order;
1. i went to the Rathaus for city registration.
2. proceeded to the immigration office to book appointment for visa extension.
3. i went to Db to activate my account.
All these three places are not too far from each other in kiel...and i was told at the rathaus to come for a 100Euro by next year december...that is after i have spent a year,that the money is for anybody that migrated to kiel and had stayed for a year.
4. i proceeded to AOK for my health insurance.
5. i went to the international center of CAU Kiel for my student registration......

The main difference i deduce from the way things are been done here and Nigeria is the MENTALITY.....
this people here are ready to help without you even asking, everything is in order..,they obey traffic regulations..,i haven't heard the hoot of horn since been here........

hello house.....Alhamdulilah I arrived safely in hamburg yesterday and took a bus from Hamburg airport directly to kiel where the studentenwerk arrival service was already waiting for me..,then i was taken to my hostel.....met @ wiliamso and 8 other Nigerian bosses already studying in kiel.......i told @filimontana about our nairaland forum(the guy don turn german oooo,four years no be play ooo)...so he is here to help for real...........
i went to play ball today self seriously Germans are accommodating from my two days experience sha......kiel cold is still normal not like the one way obiwann they relate...

@xpensiveT...thank God for the safe journey....abeg quickly con update about Istanbul... will be flying turkish airline soooooon.

Its same study visa like everyone... Deutsche bank already sent a confirmation 8040eur to me which i sent to the embassy by replying to the email that was earlier sent by the embassy after the interview. 48hours later i got the email quoted directly below

This is a reminder that you still need to submit your blocked account confirmation. Please make sure that you have sufficient funds in your account (at least 8400€ according to information from the aliens authority).

Please how do i get deustchebank to send an updated account balance information to me. I initially funded with 8040eur but later got an email from the embassy that i am required to deposit at least 8400eur according to the alien authority. I thought this might be a mistake of writing 8400 instead of 8040 but i added 360eur to the account last week thursday anyways. Could it be a typo error from the embassy though?? Has anyone been told to pay more than 8400eur?
The main problem now is since paying the money into the account and obtaining a telex from the nigerian bank here, i am yet to recieve any confirmation from DB showing the updated balance. Do i need to send an email to them to get this information?

which type of visa are you applying for....also note Deutsch bank will deduct administrative charges from both your €8040 and €360 so at the end of the day your balance might not be up to €8400 intended.

All d dates I input there, same stop time...so I'll let odas to confirm that. The stop time should vary from city to city but I'm sure of d 2 cities above.

abeg go check well well turkish airline have like 5-6 connecting flights from istanbul to different airport in germany......drop your travel date and i will send you the flight itinerary...though i checked for October 2 & 3 flights to Frankfurt and there is 2hours stop over on Turkish airline......though the airfare might not be the same.

The shortest stop over with turkish airline is 2hours in Istanbul....., so if you choose 10hours stopover , na you know then..

What is PTA ? Understand that that could mean a lot of things. It would be more helpful if you spell out the words in full. And I hope you're not talking about BTA - Basic Traveling Allowance.

PTA = PERSONAL TRAVEL ALLOWANCE.
BTA = BUSINESS TRAVEL ALLOWANCE.

A friend told me Access bank and stanbic bank still sells..,am very sure of union bank (only in hq lagos,ph and abuja)....,the rate do fluctuate.

yea ranking do matter..,but let's have it in mind that some universities has their field of specialization which they are renowned for. even if such university isn't rank high overall........and also the small sample size which most of the ranking organization uses has highly been criticised......

I just collected the visa from the Embassy today. Happy to have met Vivian (she said she knows Eke personally, I mean personally; @Eke she fyn wella, you for tell us na #winks ). Happy to also meet Ann (She too make sense, but that one na private matter.) and many Nairaland guests that do read this thread.
For now, I am still packing my bags, enjoying the Nigerian breeze and eating enough nkwobi, isi-ewu, afang soup and banga soup, coupled with palm wine, so that I no go miss am too much when I reach Deutscheland.

On my visa, they wrote " ERWERBSTÄTIGKEIT NICHT GESTATTET " wc means " GAINFUL EMPLOYEMENT NOT PERMITTED ". Is anything like that on ur visas too? I think tourist or visit visa should have that kinda remarks not student visa. Shld I send a mail to d embassy to ask for clarification coz man must hustle ooo. The embassy do write remarks for the visas but there is an error in yours because with a student (national) visa type D employment is allowed.
written in the remark section of my visa is: BESCHÄFTIGUNG NUR GEM. $16 AUFENTHG FÜR 120 GANZE ODER 240 HALBE TAGE/JAHR UND STUDENT. NEBENTÄTIGKEIT

For those travelling soon this is a piece of advise for u,tho all airline indicate 30kg max lug for each person bt some airline gives grace of 40kg lug and 10kg hand luggage, I know of Etihad airline and Qatar airline bt as for Emirate airline if ur 30kg is over 1kg u have to pay o

Please I need those that are familiar with this to respond. If you are already inside Germany on a valid 3 months schegen visa, is there any way you can extend your stay either by applying to study or working or self employment.

A schengen visa category A,B and C can not be extended in Germany, it's a must you return to your home country before the expiration. it can't also be used to take up employment or for study purposes.
it is only the schengen visa categories D or DC which are National visa that you can use for that.

About reunion A1 german certificate is compulsory, i met a guy that did his interview around May ending, we got our visa together, he's going to meet his spouse...so it took him almost 3month.
