hello house, please what other document can one provide as biographical old document apart from the 3 documents ( vaccination card, library card and water baptism certificate) listed on the German embassy's website, cuz I don't have any of the aforementioned documents. thanks
There is now a new list where biographically old documents is no more required.

Alhamdulilah............
interview done but not yet dusted because i (we) have to go back tomorrow for the capturing of our biometrics as their network was down.

It was only us (4) for student visa that was interviewed.
I was interviewed by the young Nigerian Lady and the only added question apart from the normal questions we all familiar with was the party which the president and chancellor of Germany belongs to and the date they assume office.

After my interview i asked her about the issue of changing your means of sustenance from blocked account to sponsorship after been interviewed and she replied that its not possible as the application will have been processed under the condition of a blocked account.
(so anybody trying to do that should mail the embassy before hand because i believed there might be exemption).

lastly, jokingly i asked her Ma can i book for my flight ticket...,she replied that i should just hold on though she understands its cheaper to book ahead.....but i should just please hold on...

conclusion..: if you are on nairaland you can't flop this interview...
@pompido (my oga) nice meeting you today....
@Efe.....the ghost follower by His grace you will soon be unghost by the success of your Visa application...

I tried more than 4 banks in Lagos. @aibee don't bother or stress yourself much since u re in Ibadan just go to union bank @secretariat I will send u a guy contact he will surely initiate d transfer for u d guy is a union bank staff. Any d Dom stuff ah no b small diff ok but If u av d money just budget 2m plus while form A is just 1.850m

i will be grateful sir....am on your email contact
Travel / Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by aibee01(m): 6:14pm On Jul 22, 2015
About the form A stuff......its really frustrating, but am not frustrated, have been on it here in Ibadan since last week.., my conclusions;

1. most of the bank branches are not familiar with such transfer, as some of them have never done transferring money to a personal account except school account.. the woman incharge of foreign fund transfer at a first bank branch in ibadan told me point blank she doesn't want to risk it as shes going to loose a kind of points from their HQ if she doesn't get it right....she even gave me the Form A to take to their other branches(as a branch told me they don't have form A)............it's better to initiate these transfer from the bank Head office.

2. i was also told at union bank that i can't use a new account for these transaction, that i must have been running an account with them.

3. @ twinkle......its like the staff at skye made a mistake while filling the online fund transfer request, as the formA is just the hardcopy, there is a softcopy to be filled online by the bank official..(the woman at firstbank took pain to show me every thing she even pleaded with me to please try their other branches..,she no wan enter wahala.)......and if you are rich enough buy Euro from mallam and fund your dorm account .....

4. i will be having my interview next week and i plan to sort it out by then in the banks head office(s)

Hollyton I filled mine online too. I didn't use pen. I got my confirmation from Deutsch bank in 2weeks. Maybe you have to mail them.
he meant ticking the box for online banking....does that have effects on the time it takes before the account details will be sent.?

@eke40seven
I must commend the great work you are doing in giving prompt response and keeping this thread alive, more grease to your elbow.
Though it is obvious the east and north are not as rich as the south and west Gemany, this does not mean there are no employment opportunity there, people living there survive. (and you can't compare the employment opportunity to that of our beloved country Nigeria)
It was said in the part1 of the thread by Oga at the top like jejet, topeajis, futurewise & co that getting a student job in Germany is a function of LUCK, LEVEL OF GERMAN PROFICIENCY and most importantly, SKILLS POSSESED. Its not a function of the east south west or north.
I remember someone in the east boosting of 2 well paying jobs in the space of two weeks while it took someone in the south 3months to get his 1st job.

The right advise to those interested in student jobs should be to Learn the language (at least A1), get the right skills (programming, statistics analysis, ICT in general and if going to a moderate african community, you can learn some artisan skills e.g fixing hair cost as much as £40) .

Choose your school based on your interest in the course and not the city/region where the school is located. The most important thing is getting to the system 1st.

My 2 Euro

Wow...Thanks so much for the insightful response bro....God bless.....
