Paid on arrival. I'll advise you fill the form and pay online as I was delayed and trust our naija people server is down no network etc.
To get it over quickly after you have the approval fill the online form and get a unique reference number to use to get your visa in naija.

phebeansans:
Hello. Please did you eventually pay online for the visa on arrival?Thank you

The DS3035 Form, his Nigerian passport, copy of his data page, your own copy of data page (if he has it handy).he shouldn't sign the form. He will sign it in the presence of the notory.

Nabie:
Hello house,Please what other form of identification apart from our nigerian passport, can my husband use to notarise at the embassy?

Is your husband witnessing and staying a while after the birth of your child? If yes. Then you don't need it as he will be there when you do documentations for your child. Eg passport.

However, if your husband is not coming due to work, funds etc, he can NOTORIZE the DS3053 form at the us embassy for free. All he needs to do is to book an appointment around the time of your scheduled CS or
VBAC. For CS you know the date so it's fixed. For VBAC you might want to book a week after EDD or book like two appointments with the embassy a week apart.

See link to book notorization at the embassy below. Remember to select "Request notarial and other services not listed above." Fill in his details and you're good to go.

Link to form- https://www.google.com.ng/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://eforms.state.gov/Forms/ds3053.PDF&ved=2ahUKEwjeofOOoKDcAhWqAsAKHYsEBcsQFjAAegQIBBAB&usg=AOvVaw3TluFl80TUMs0OJGHjG9w2

Link to appointment- https://ng.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/notaries-public/

Once he's done there is DHL at the car park he can send it for 18,500 Naira for you to the US or use UPS and send for 18,000 Naira.

Hope this helps

You should receive approval letters via e-mail soonest. Print the two letters as they are requirements for your baby's trip out of the US to POE in Naija. Please follow up as tomorrow is Thursday in Naija

You are far too kind. Will do that. Once I receive the approval is there a link to make payment?

Hello,

Sorry to hear about your story. You can get the help of charity organizations in Virginia. I also heard hospitals have social workers in them. Ask to see the social worker in your hospital. Talk to him or her. Explain your situation.

Once again be happy for your LO.

doyin2me:
Hello house,
I dropped my POE transcript about a month ago .
Had my LO over a week ago. Everything was okay , less than 3mins apart , called Uber and left for the hospital . Heartbeat was monitored : I'm sorry baby's getting distressed . Need a C.S done fast . Was already in full labour less than 2 mins serious contractions .
Baby was out : what's going on , can't hear him , they were apparently trying to suck out a lot from him . He had swallowed meconum ( not fresh ) . He started crying , was shown to me and was rushed down to NICU. It was tough - couldn't get answers cos no1 was sure of how the outcome will be ....Oxygen , medications , Nitric oxide...... a lot of stuffs.
God be glorified everything has be stabilized , even the Doctors are wooed at the progress ,.....
Now, Financial Counsellor is on my neck , who will pay ? I have to pay for the facilities and the paedatrician? Can I draw a payment plan? It will be too high - about $500k, you can only get a discount, $100k . Medicaid lady on my case .
I don't want MEDICAID o.
Got the option of filing for grant-NGO not govt sponsored .No sure 1 .
I can always set up a payment plan for the peadatricians fees but I don't know how to go about the hospital fees .
I'm grateful LO would be out of there soon .
Any ideas?
HOSP- Henrico Doctors HOSP.

So this has been sorted. We were given discount and to pay before month end or else we pay total fee.
We thank God for his mercies.

Hello house,
Please who has used Oakbend NICU? Baby has been there for 5 days and counting now, it started with glucose level, then calcium, then phosphorus levels either too high or too low. We initially paid all paediatric fee at the beginning of treatment and was issued zero balance. Now baby has stayed extra 2 days now. Initial payments for paediatric was 3 days. I will like to know how the hospital charges for the extra days, anyone with similar or a different experience please share.
Also who knows how much endocrinologist charge per visit?

Thank you for your help always

I can only answer the first based on experience, no you won't be allowed to board if you don't have a Nigerian passport and a us passport when leaving the country.

Eilenora:
Hello All.

Pls I hv 2 silly qstns.

My 1st daughter is Americn. If I want her 2 go wth me to have my 2nd, can she travel without a Nign passport cos I never did for her. Cn she use her american passport and we do visa on arrival on our return leg.

Also when renewin her passport if she has never travelled to d states since her birth will she be refused a new passport? Cos i herd she is expected to have gone back at least once which is d only reason y am considerin takin her wth me.

Finally for those with a child, is it advisable to leav her behind for over 2months or best to take her with me. P.s i wnt have help where I am goin as my hosts will be super busy. Wonderin not only about ticket prices but also how il cope with a 3yr old both b4 and after i gv birth.

He should go with the form filled but not signed. Photocopy of his passport data page and the original for sighting. He can also go with your passport data page photocopy as well. He can also send immediately to you via DHL at the American Embassy car park for 18500.hope this helps

Hello house/candybright

Will I be paying 50dollars at the embassy for the notorization?

Candybright:

you have to book appointment to enable you go to the embassy and sign the form. so you may not likely get a date for the next day as expected. count wife's EDD and schedule few days after.

Thank you. Baby ended up in NICU as sugar level wasn't rising and he had to be infused. He's doing well now. He's a 5kg baby

tmd:
My daughter was hypoglycemic at birth. I put her to breast as soon as she was cleaned up and they asked me if they could give her formulae or Its exclusive breastfeeding, I told them to go ahead as I was tired and I didn't want her to end up in NICU. The glucose level came up after the formula. Relax, if you are not lactating well i 'll suggest add formula with breastfeeding at most every 2hrs.

I’ll personally advise you to wait if you can till you’re in Nigeria because it’s wayyyyy cheaper here compared with the 300-500usd you’ll get as the cheapest over there.

Please who knows any good paediatrician in Houston preferably Richmond or Sugarland area that can do circumcision very well at a very reasonable price. Hospital circumcision is quite expensive. Thanks

Book an appointment around DW due date. Eh if your wife is due today add an additional week. Once that is sorted. Then you have to wait for delivery there's no two way about it. If DW is doing CS and you're sure that will also guide you on the date to choose.
