Please I have a quick question. My brother who has a visit visa has recently gotten admission to school here in Canada while on holidays. He was planning to go back in July. Now that he has gotten an admission he will like to apply from here.

My questions go thus:
1. can he apply from here while on a visit visa as inside canada or outside canada?

2. He only has his full Tuition for the one year program and my wife and I are willing to sponsor him and show the living cost balance from our Canadian joint bank statements.

3. What will I need to provide him if we are to stand as his sponsor?

4. Does he need to open a bank account here since he's around and we transfer the funds in there for him to support his application or bank statements/T4/Employment details from both wife and I will suffice?

Please house, I will need clarity on this.. anyone who has been in same situation before.

Landing gist
Abuja- Heathrow- Toronto - Ottawa
Left with BA on the 17th April, family of 3. Check in went smoothly- we had 5 check in bags, 2 hand luggage, 1 diaper bag and a travel system stroller combo. My advice it’s best to check in every single bag that you can , BA will check in your hand luggage for free so it’s something to consider ��‍♀️.

Abuja-Heathrow leg was smooth, we left about 20-30mins late but still left us with enough time to meet the connecting flight to Toronto. The food was ‘meh’ in my opinion but I’ll advise that you take the mail English breakfast option because the other meal option looked like � to me.

Got to Heathrow and after about an hour wait we boarded to Toronto (this flight felt super long to me) but 7 hours after we entered our new country ��.

Went to immigration where we had to first do the self service passport scanning for declaration of items- cash value you’re coming in with, if you had meat, milk, fish and the likes, the machine gives you a slip. I had milk on me but it’s for my baby so I didn’t declare it.

Took the slip to the first leg immigration where we handed over our COPR and passport for stamping and filling address where we want our PR card shipped to. Then we were told “welcome to Canada”

We were sent to border control to fill a form regarding the amount we brought in, but it was nothing serious.

Went to check in for our connecting flight to Ottawa with Westjet, the flight was delayed due to various reasons but we eventually landed Ottawa and got picked up by family. Omo the cold � is real, forget all the talk about spring weather. Buy better jacket when you’re coming.


P.s Travelled with an infant (9months) so when booking we got a bassinet seat, so she could be comfortable. I was able to carry water on all legs of the trip cause of making the baby’s food (the water was tested at Toronto)
We booked directly with BA at Transcorp cause we were particular about getting the bassinet seat.

Everybody is advised to stay off London. They are not responding to Nigerian's passport because it's not under their jurisdiction. They are presently giving a timeline of 8 weeks or more. Some people have started requesting for their passport to be returned. It's a messed up process already.

In the actual sense, I did have my remed before deadline. But the doctor reached out to me stating that IRCC requests for additional information. And to provider that, I'll need to book another appointment. Earliest appointment date possible is now end of April - almost 1 month after deadline.

My younger sister is married and stays in Manitoba with her son and husband.
She encouraged me to start this Canada migration process.
I wrote the IELTS and got 7.5 . I did my WES evaluation.
All these I sent to her
They created a profile for me for Express entry and my score is 391, while the profile created for me on the Manitoba PNP has a score of 610.
Is Manitoba PNP draws within this score range?

Did medicals at IOM on Monday, it was sent to the embassy by Friday but it hasn’t been updated on my application and my 30 day deadline passes today. Do I need to fill out a web form?

I have a dual citizen child. Both passports were filled in when filling express entry. Now we have gotten PPR, do I submit both passports or just one?

Please how long does it take IOM to upload medical results? My wife did hers last week Tuesday and they are still yet to upload to e-medical.

That means they haven't send your medicals, it has not been updated.
Try to contact IOM to confirm if your result has been forwarded.

Hi everyone. Please I need your kind input. My family and I just got PPR and intend to travel by June. However, my passport is expiring by October. I have started the passport renewal process and will be capturing on next week.
Now I don't know if to submit the old passtport for stamping and travel with both old and new pasaports(I don't know if this is possible) or wait till I get the new passport and submit that for stamping
My concern is that if I'm to submit the new passport, will it be an issue since ircc does not have that on file. Or will it be easy to just send ircc a copy of the new passport, so they add it to my file, and then go ahead to submit the new passport for stamping.
I'm really not sure of the next steps to take. Please kindly advice. Thank you

I have lived in the UK as a student , also On post study visa and visited UK twice after this on both 6 months and 2 years visa with kids and stayed for a short holiday and returned back . First visit visa as a tourist and second visit visa for brothers graduation.

I’m applying again with my kids , I’m sponsoring the entire trip but my budget seem to be high, 2500 pounds which includes Accommodation, flight and other expenses , we will stay for 2 weeks.

I pay myself 500k monthly and transfer this into my savings from my business account . my business makes more than this and I could pay myself
More but I decided to maintain 500k . I have about 6.5 million Naira in my savings account , about 7 million in business account but obviously my savings account is where I plan to use money for the trip .

I live in Ghana with my family , so amount stated is the equivalent of cedis to
Naira .

I’m a sole proprietor , I own an online business that makes a lot of sales monthly with evidence of all transactions I.e receipt ,invoices
Payment , clients order like messages on
WhatsApp etc , i have evidence and picture of my business and products which I submitted in my previous applications.

I honestly don’t know how to reduce this budget as it becomes unrealistic. I have tried to reduce it and that’s the lowest I can go .

What do I do ? I need a response urgently.

Reduce your stay to 5 days so it Fitz within your budget. You can stay for 2weeks after visa issuance.

I got married last year December, my spouse's maiden name is same as my surname (she didn't bother to do change of name since the names are same). She is now applying for a UK study visa and I'm applying as her spouse.

An agent told me they may think I'm her sibling or cousins trying to present false documents, how true is this and what's the best way to clarify that we are truly married and not siblings or cousins.

I’m planning to apply for a 2 year UK visit visa . I did my masters in the UK in 2010/11 , stayed in UK for 2 extra years under the post study visa . Came back home , Applied for a visit visa in 2015 for 6 month with my daughter , visa was granted . Applied for another 2 years visa with my daughter and a 6 month visa for my son who was a baby at the time and all got it .

I want to apply for another 2 years visa for myself and 2 kids.

I really don’t know how to fill the Address section , the question on if you own the house or rent the house you currently live in ?

The house I currently stay with my husband and 2 kids is one out of many of my parents properties, so belongs to my parents ,we don’t own it , neither do we pay rent for it, it’s a family property . We stay in it alone. I can get access to the house papers which as my parents name and submit it as part of my application.

But my only worry is how to answer this section
Since we neither rent or own it . I want to be as honest as possible but this sound reasonable to the visa officer .

I got an email asking me to upload Police Certificate from each country/state where I (the primary applicant) and my spouse have resided for six months or longer since the age of 18. We uploaded original documents of our various police reports when we first submitted our application so I am not sure if this request is for a new set of police reports or for us to re-uploaded the police reports we already have?
